What a wonderful chapter.  So happy that Aiden will do well.  FYI, I can understand Brian and Justin's feelings about Aiden since when I was 4 I developed Nephritis (a kidney disease).  Long story short I was hospitalized for 3 weeks getting 21 shots a day.  In the middle of that time, they thought I was fine and told my parents I could come home the next day.  My Mom was young, 23 and pregnant with my sister, who was born while I was in the hospital.  They told my mother to call & find out what time someone could pick me up, when she called, the doctor yelled at her and even swore asking if she wanted me dead or alive.  I had taken a bad turn during the night & was actually gone for a short time.  I did a turn around and here I am almost 75 years later.  They said it could reoccurr, but it never has.  My mother told me the story over & over until she died.  When she finally told the doctor she was surprised that he swore at her, he was shocked saying he didn't recall, but had been terrified of losing me at that moment and said how sorry he was.  It came on out of no where and makes it easy to understand that life can change in a moment.  Your writing is fantastic.  Hope you don't mind that I shared my real life story.  Happy New Year.

Author's Response:

I am glad you shared.  For years I worked with medically fragile children and adults so I know how things can change in the blink of an eye.   I had to do some research for this one.  I ended up with NTDT. I am glad you are enjoying this one.  I have one more chapter and then I will move back to the follow up to 'A Father's Hate'.
