This day must have been the one-year anniversary of Michael's death. That was amazing how Brian set up such a donation and grant in Michael's name. Quite an exorbitant amount, though. Brian better hope he never has a bad year.

They had quite the ride with their relationship, but it all ended so good.

This was written heartrending, and I'm sad Michael died, but ONLY because of what it's doing to the rest of the family. I really don't care that Michael died.
All the goodbyes were heartfelt. I feel more sorrow for Brian than the rest, because Brian just had very hatefilled words with Michael. I worry what that could do to Brian. When you have to live with that, it could make Brian spiral out of control.
You didn't NEED to make it so sad though! LOL But the one good thing, as they told Emmett - if Michael dies - Ethan is screwed. (no lube available!)

Then Brian issuing threats to Michael about forgetting he exists! LOL... Perfect. Maybe whimy, jealous boy will have to wake up and see the truth.

I don't think Debbie is ever as clueless about Michael as she appears. She just tries to look past it and see whatever good she can find. Look real hard, Deb. It might be there somewhere. Maybe. LOL.

Without Ben's urging, Michael probably wouldn't have ever opened his mouth. If I was Ben, I couldn't stay with Michael no matter how much I loved him. It's just not a healthy relationship when there is an obsession for another man always in the middle.

Yes, what a run of bad luck to run into Chris on this particular night. This chapter was a recipe for everything bad to put in the pot - Mikey, Chris, and the chinrat.
Somehow I think they will get the mood back after all of the annoyances, but a do-over date probably would have been nice too. :)

I find it strange that Brian didn't want to be reciprocated, because I would think his desire escalated in the bathroom.
Whiny, grumpy Michael. Always ready to spread his doom and gloom. And if he stopped to listen to himself - the kid had to be playing some game with Brian... that doesn't say much for Brian's intelligence. Then his ramblings about Brian only loving Gus and his friends... but I think he really wanted to say himself. His - not tricks - should have let him know Justin wasn't a trick.

Let's start with Michael. You ever want to just douse his face with acid to shut him up? At least he'd be screaming, and not allowing the verbal diarrhea to pour out. He was FINE with Brian going on a date until he realized who it was with. And he really pushed Brian telling him what he said to Justin, then he wasn't even sorry. Just stomped off, even after Brian warned him.
Poor Justin. Agonized over what to wear. And when he finally was all set to go - because of whiny boy - Brian was late, and Justin worried and had all these doubts.
And of course, Mother Hen Emmett had to give the beau the warnings.

I think the fact that Michael only got upset about Brian having an actual date after realizing it was Justin meant something. Michael sensed from the beginning that Justin was different, even special to Brian, that's why he always wanted him gone, and belittled him at every possible occasion. Of course, that won't work with this tenacious blond. :)

Lindsay was nice. And it sounds like she's in B/J's corner.
Cynthia - I always liked her. And she knows Brian so well. Stories where her and Ted are loyal and nor REAL afraid of Brian are always nice reads.
Couldn't Brian outright hire Justin, and just say that Kinnetik has a tuition program (or something like that?) I don't know if I'm wording it correctly. (it's early - I jsut woke up.)

Emmett just couldn't fathom the changes in Brian and that Justin has caused them. He just doesn't know what to do. I loved writing that chapter. LOL.
For once, Lindsay appears to be a good person. I know it's confusing when she's like that in my stories. I don't do that often...but this is an old one.
Brian could probably do that, but this way, it won't interfere with school and he will get the credit at school as well. Either way, Justin seems to have a good future.

Brian had an agenda for Justin's visit to his office...but Justin's obvious talent derailed him - for the moment.
We know Brian would never admit it, at least at this point, but his interest in Justin far extends his lust for the young man. He is seeing much more than an attractive body, He is seeing his full potential.
