Since this is the very first time I've read this sequel, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of angst and suspense.

I loved it when Brandon realized he was trapped when he got downstairs. His pleading and promises of leaving Pittsburgh, I was like - Sure you will. And they know how to kill any others that may come along and want to destroy them.

I loved Brian's vow at the end:

"I love you so fucking much my beautiful warlock. Forever will never be long enough. However, it makes an excellent starting point."

There was certainly some high drama in this story. I think this story was just my inability to say goodbye to these characters at the end of the first story. Brandon certainly fit the bill for what I was trying to do here. 

Brandon was doomed from the beginning. There was no way he could be allowed to simply run away. 

I'm glad you enjoyed this sequel, Cathy. I really enjoyed writing it and spending more time with them in this 'verse.

See? Brian has it figured out. I kind of thought they should have included him in their plans from the beginning.

Brian is well protected from Brandon, but we still need the hair, and three drops of fluid.

So, Brandon has killed other witches and gotten their magic? So I presume Justin is the most powerful warlock and that’s why Brandon wants him.

It’s too bad that Brian, as a vampire, is so useless in killing him or harming him.

OMG! Brandon, and he’s a vampire too? Why do I get the feeling there’s a ‘hate’ relationship between the two men?

I’m guessing his appearance is what has weakened Justin.

And could Justin put a spell on Michael that every time he said something hostile, he’d accidentally bite hard into his tongue?
