Oh wow! That was... perfect! Grand and intense! Hot, but in some way again ridiculous romantic and also tragic. Brian is so fucked! The comparison of both situations shows that very clearly. Sex with a trick could never replace Justin and Justin could never be a trick - and he wasn't even at their first night - because in the end it's Brian who ends the game here. You show these two sides of Brian so perfectly here! And I was almost a bit disappointed that Brian ended "the game" early because if he kicked Justin out after that like he would have done with a trick, Justin would never have had a reason to be jealous of a trick ever again. Because who wants to be treated like that? By the way, you also made me laugh... "what animal would you be?" Haha! Really Justin? Ah, cute!

Have I mentioned this before? You write the most delightful and analytical reviews. You're right about everything you say. You recognized the comparison I had intended; trick vs Justin. And you laughed at just the right moment in my story. (I think I'd be a cheetah. How about you?)

Hmm... I thought Moving On was after Brian's Aftermath. Then a whole bunch of Aftermath's. Or do I have them listed wrong???
I haven't read these for years... fun to reread them.

To be truthful, I'm not sure. I think several of these cover the same time period. It was an emotional conclusion to Season 2...and then a long hiatus before Season 3. Emotions were high. Fanfic writers were juiced-up and writing lots of stuff. If I put them in order, I'd say Brian' Aftermath, Passion by Proxy, and Moving On. And then there's the parallel Justin's Aftermath in 5 chapters that cover the same period. And there were also the weekly "diaries" of Brian (written by me) and Justin (written by Les) during Season 3 that covered some of the same break-up issues. We were writing maniacs whenever B&J were apart. I miss those emotional rollercoaster rides. By the way...Justin's Aftermath will be posted here in the next few days.
