Wow that is so profoundly moving and sad. I could never understand how Brian could forgive Michael  ,  but the way you laid out Justin's feelings was enlightening.

Very pensive story, Michael being Michael was undoubtedly the weakest excuse for his appalling behavior throughout the series, because he was allowed to treat so many people badly - Debbie, Vic, Emmett, Ben, Brian and Justin. His idea of friendship and family was rooted in what he could get out of it, absolutely selfish.

I really hope to one day see a continuation of this series.

Very thought provoking. I like this Justin,  he put his self worth first.  I can't believe Brian just can't get it.  The stuff comparing  Deb and Joan to what Micheal said was brilliant.

Why is that everyone thought …oh it’s just Michael being Michael….and that was ok? Michael was a manipulative, winey, asshole. I never understood how Brian let him get away with it when it would call others on the same behavior. Glad to see Justin stand up for himself.

Author's Response:

They do tend to enable him at every turn. "But I didn't mean it that way" only goes so far. I had a friend who used to apologize for the same thing over and over and over again. I finally ended the friendship after I told her that if you are doing the same thing, even after you apologize for doing it that many times, you were never sorry and have no intention of changing. That's Mikey in a nutshell.
