Nice shmoopy ending! I also loved Brian's introspections as he doesn't talk but thinks a lot.

Nevertheless, I prefer the original version because:

- Justin went through Ethan's betrayal and realized his promises were lies (beautiful scene where he destroys the roses and tells Ethan that he never had to forgive Brian),

- then he was longing for Brian (master piece scene in the backroom with "From the inside")

- and had to fight for him (1st very sensual reunification scene in Brian's office); which lead him to work for Vangard then be seen by Stockwell,

- and then, the most historic reunification since Germany in Babylon (very sensual as well, in the face of everybody, including Michael)

Those are some of my favorite scenes of S3.

If only... This so easily could be canon. I wish it had happened this way.

This one-shot really lets us into Brian's head and shows us how he paralyzes himself into not acting on his needs and desires.

I admire Justin, especially when he takes charge. I far prefer this scenario to the reunification, after which Justin always did (once again) what he thought Brian wanted.

Brian and Justin belong together. And it's up to Justin to show Brian the way. ❤️
