I have just finished re-reading this story, one of my all time favorites, and very saddened that it has still not been completed. The character development in this story, for both old and new, was absolutely amazing and I truly hope it will be updated and finished some day soon.

Actually, some tags let me think that it would be hard to read for some parts, so, I didn't want to start; then, I read "The Review" and some of your comments on other writers' stories, and other writers' comments on this one.
"The Review" got me hook; that was the goal of it I guess. Job well done!!!

Some people had a problem with the abuse and others had problems with chapter 17. I just remind myself I write for me and anyone else that tags along with me is a bonus.
The goal of the "The Review" was simply to show first time writers that you can take something fairly small, give it water and fertilizer, and it can grow into something big and beautiful. (plus, it would not leave me alone)
Thank you for the compliment. I think I am a so-so writer, because I have a love-hate relationship with adjectives, and I like my stories to be dialogue driven.

I've been meaning to read this story for awhile now, but now I finally started.
I have to say it scares me... why because it's so good already on the first chapter. This I fear will be a journey needing a few paper towels to cry into. LOVE it !!!

So, I'd started this before, but got too distracted. Now, I've started again, taking the time to read The Review first. It already promises to be majorly angsty. And very intriguing too - Brian's mysterious nightmares, him apparently pushing Justin away again, and now a request to Lindz for another kid. That's a heck of a lot for one story. Can't wait to see where you take it. Off to read more. TAG

Yeah, very, very, angsty. Hopefully you will stay intrigued, otherwise you will stop reading. Brian is pretty messed up. He was in the series and I can on,y imagine that his neurosis would continue unchecked after it ended. Lots and Lots of different stuff going on. Some will be relevent and some won't. I leave it to the reader to interpret it how they wish.

I'm happy to reread this story knowing what following chapters bring to it. This story makes you feel. You feel what Brian, who has come a long way through his own force of personality, knows he will be losing but cannot find another way around it. Who in spite of being thought an asshole is loved by a little girl who is not his and his son. You feel for Justin, who was so happy with his showing only to fall hard from the review. Justin who is so full of pain that he does his best to hurt the one person who will back him in everything. Cynthia who will have Brian's back. Everett who will figure prominently and be a foil for Cynthia. Emmett who feels badly for Justin, but knows nothing he does will help. He's also become to admire Brian and understand him more. Ted who somehow comes out the bearer of bad news and in trying to be helpful only manages to make things worse. Ben who did an admirable job when faced with an unreasonable task. My favorite line was his was "Any one that has actually read the book would realize that I did not as you say, glamorize self-infection." Telling the bitch off. You make us hate Ms Lyons with a passion. Then there is Lindsay at her manipulative best, demanding to speak with Brian. It's obvious she has knowledge about Brian that we are not yet privy to. She seems to think that Justin leaving Brian will spell the end. Selfish of her since we know that Justin is Brian's addiction. Each and every chapter will give us so much.
