The Florida vacation was sounding like a dream. I remember the very first time I saw a flamingo in person. I was about 8 years old, and visiting my grandparents that summer. It was surreal since up until that point, they were just something I'd read in an encyclopedia.

As for their return to the Pitts, I'm so sad. My elder sister has been living with the virus for over 25 years now, and THANK GOD this situation regarding Ben is one we haven't had to face as of yet. But the fear is always, ALWAYS there that we will get this kind of call. I would say that I hope Michael pulls himself together, but the reality of his character is that he won't. As for Hunter, my heart really goes out to him because although the family will likely rally around him, he's lost the only real father he's ever truly had. His heart just has to be breaking with such a significant loss.

HUGS, and a few tears,

~Nichelle

No, there is no hope for that friendship.  Mikey is sure to muck it up.  In a way it was better this way Ben no longer has to deal with Mikey.  I don't remember what happened with Hunter.  It's a good thing I'm rereading this.

Author's Response: "Mikey is sure to muck it up. " Truer world have never been spoken... Poor Ben, he doesn't deserve this... Hunter actually comes out of this in a good place, better than when he lived with Michael... Hugs Darling ~ Kathleen
