I don't know how many times I've read this thing, but I love the whole series! I could probably quote it verbatim, but it recently occurred to me that instead of WALAAS, it should be called 'The Squeal of the Weasel', you know...to go along with the theme! 😄

Finally getting a chance to read this wonderful fic again so I can post my reviews.

So glad that Justin put a stop to Mikey's plan of getting money from Brian and not paying it back. Go, Justin!

Ben rejecting Michael's attempt at sex made me so happy! I never could understand how they got together.

I am so glad Mel apologized to Gus. The way Melanie hated Brian in the series always made me wonder how she would treat Gus as he grew older, especially after she had ‘her' daughter. It was obvious that Gus would look more like Brian as he grew (lucky kid!) and that could possibly cause her to react to Gus in the same way she always reacted to Brian. Glad to see she's at least capable of admitting she was wrong.

Lindsay on the other hand was such a spoiled princess. She was supposed to be seen as the peacekeeper but honestly I think she only did that when it was to her benefit.

Love how you are keeping everyone in character.

Great beginning with lots of angst from Gus, love from Brian and Justin, mean things from Michael and the girls.

I had started an whole emotional review where I vented and screamed, and of course my computer inadvertently shut down adn I lost it. I can't seem to get the same level of vitirol going now. I seemed to have gotten most of it off my chest in teh fitst writing.

I did mention, on several occasssions, how much I hated Michael in this. In many stories I just dislike him, think he's a pain in teh ass or what have you. In this one....I truly truly hate him. He's the most self serving asshole EVER! He doesn't give a shit about Ben really. He cares that his friends are around him to offer comfort adn support. He cares how he looks as a "grieving and scare" husband. He doesn't  care about Hunter or his health. How run down hunter is making himself to be there for Ben. to have to look after himself at the same time. Michael's main goal to stay at Briton is to get a fucking key!  that's he even attempted to put blame on Hunter is  disgusting! 

Can I just say how much I love Carl!! He's wickedly awesome! AS is Jenny. Everyone is there for Hunter and Ben, yet Michael seems to think the attention is partially for him. delusional much? 

that convo between them all back at teh loft was enlightening. Mel rocked! She seems to have gotten her balls back and is letting bot Lindsey adn Michael have it with both barrels. I can't BELIEVE Michae made that comment about affording all this care. thankfully Mel caught it and will nip the idea of Brian paying for it in teh butt! And Jen seems to have also caught on that Michael's memory lapse from the other night was a ple of BS. Michael let it slip as he's a stupid ass. 

the delivery of his stuff to the loft was BRILLIANT! I can bet though that he thinks Justin did it and not Brian. He's going to get yet another earful soon I'm sure.

Have I mentioned that I actually HATE Michael in this. In canon I dislike him for teh first while, but only in the "there's an annoying fly in my office and I can't get it" kind of way. After the anniversary party though, I was truly disgusted by him and held that thought througout teh rest of the show. I think because there was never any accountability. Everyone blamed Brian, nobody was really told teh truth. Brian seemed to have easily forgiven Michael. I don't think I could've done that. Even if that person was my best and only friend. Michae lmay have been drunk as an excuse, but still, alcohol is more of a truth serum, adn he voiced what he truly felt toward justin. I'm not sure I could've ever forgiven that, and if I did, it would've taken a long time for me to, and for that person to truly truly show remorse adn prove it. 

Anyway.....excellent chapter. My goodness. My guts are in my throat with everything I'm feeling after reading it. I'm not so sure I know which way is up. Talk about a roller coaster.

This is going to be an AMAZING story, Nicole! I am so PROUD of you. I am already a fan of your work. This first chapter had everything I look for in a fic. Humor, angst and loads of PLOT! You even managed to seamlessly mix the individual POVs with the Narrator's perspective which is not easy to do even for the most seasoned writer. 

Now for the chapter itself:

Love the premise!! Michael being a moocher has always been one of my pet peeves. I always thought that Michael and Mel procreating would result in a child who is perpetually jealous, sneaky, determined, reasonably intelligent and manipulative and we have that loud and clear in Jenny Rebecca. She has the best qualities of her mother but the worse of her father. I think with the help of Ben and now that Lindsay and Mel's eyes have been open to Michael and Jenny's machinations, there is hope for Jenny to be saved before she travels too far down the road that Michael is on. 

Justin... what can I say about Justin that has never been said?? I really love the fact that he is intelligent- a clever devil, if you will- and that he has the backbone to stand up to ALL of them regardless of their senses of entitlement. You're building him to be a strong personality and I really appreciate that (I write him that way myself; I never saw him as weak even in canon). 

Brian... I love the fact that he and Justin are standing together. Whereas Brian may have been willfully blind to Michael's character- or lack thereof- his eyes are now officially open and won't allow anyone to close them again regardless of if he loves them or not. 

Gus and Hunter... I would imagine that the two of them would definitely have been friends at this stage. Gus needs someone from the outside of the situation looking in and Hunter has the unique perspective of not only being on the outside looking in, but first-hand experience in dealing with Michael and Jenny. I imagine that Jenny has tried the same garbage in reference to Hunter, blaming him for being the reason she does wrong things. But unlike Gus, Hunter called her on her bullshit without giving a care of what Michael and Ben thought in the process (even though Ben would have been fair in doling out reprimands).

Ben...Poor guy to be saddled with Michael! I never got that relationship or the attraction (which is why in all my stories I break them up...LOL). I love the fact that he is no longer excusing Michael for his behavior- something I felt happens way too much and the reason I write Anti-Michaels mostly. I'm also glad that he didn't buy into the 'Sex as an Apology' concept. Just the idea of Michael naked at anytime- including showering- is a stomach-turner for me, LOL. Anyway, I'm glad that he isn't being controlled, manipulated or forced to be quiet for the sake of peace this time around.

Mel and Lindz...Thankfully they are getting a clue. Both of them are beginning to see that Jenny is NOT so perfect nor was their choice of sperm donor. I'm glad Justin cut down Lindsay's "Peaceful Lesbian in the Middle" act while calling Mel on her hypocrisy in the way she treats Gus and Jenny. Perhaps there is hope for the two of them yet.

I'm sure that Michael will go running to Deb eventually with the fact that he has to pay back the loan. It must really burn his ass that Hunter is getting a free ride to college while he actually has to do some WORK to pay back a $300,000 loan. And what pray tell does he really need that much money for anyway? It can't be just for comic book store upgrades like he's saying, can it? Besides since this is fairly modern day, most ordering of comics and paraphernalia would actually be done online. So he wouldn't really need to update his physical store but his online presence and even that doesn't cost the likes of that much money. I guess what is he really planning to use that money for will come out and I for one am looking forward to the revelations this story is going to bring out!!
