Holy sh*t... What has Brian gotten himself into? Maybe his friends can hold another benefit for him or a Gofundme auction... Nevertheless, I'm so f*cking proud of Brian for saving J327/Justin. But 25 years?? Holy mother of god... Lol

Omg... how horrifying, and Sap is even more repugnant here than he was in the show. You have quite the stage set, and I'm waiting to see what Brian and Cynthia will do next.

Wow, I'm loving this story already, as much as the PC industry horrifies me. But it's fiction for our characters, and Brian Kinney, soooo. :) I'm hoping the industry is not true but the way you presented it makes me think it may be. I'm wondering how Brian is going to get Justin (J327) out of this, because I'm thinking that he will. Brian was brilliant in how he sold the idea of going to event to his assistant, and she can use it in her fight against the industry.

When J327 jumped up after Brian asked where his fucking keys were - and how Brian had to then tell him that his name isn't fuck... omg, my heart. Like seriously :(

I really hope they find out his name and soon, the poor kid.

It's going to be interesting to see how Brian manages... I hope no one gives him any trouble.

I am quite looking forward to a nice Michael, it'll be weird LOL

I think it'll be refreshing to have Michael OOC and being a total nice guy for a change. lol

Poor Justin! I hope he can remember what his name was before he was sold. I wonder how Brian is going to come up with it.....hmmmmmmmm

What a start!!!

I'm already disgusted by some of the attendees of the event, but we have Cynthia and Brian to the rescue.

So, let's go and hop on the train, to see where it goes.

Drunk Brian is so cute! I can't wait to see how he figures this out and how their 'relationship' proceeds.

Angst light is very appropriate for this one....Brian's drunken rambling was HILARIOUS!!! Now we just have to wait and see what happens the morning after.

Author's Response:

I love me a drunken Brian. But, yeah, the morning after is going to be a bit tough . . . Thanks for reading this one, my friend. TAG

I'm going to have to work really, really hard to not go all meta-convo on this one... but I will lapse... I know me... aw, hell, face it! I'm dying to go all meta on this! LOL

I do like the maxing out of the credit cards, bringing in a little of the canon. I hope he either gets those paid off quickly so he can max them out again when he brings down Bedwetter, et al. In my head I'm working out an escape plan for them (as I often do when reading stories) a la Farenheit 451.

I'm gonna go buy that wine now... *bribe alert*

Author's Response:

Feel free to go meta on me, baby! I can take it. And you're going to get lots of chances with this story. I plan to hit lots of those discussion points . . . Ready for my wine! TAG

Thank you. And, good news, this seems to be one of those stories that's almost writing itself, so more will be coming very shortly. TAG

OMG how is Brian going to cope with owning  a PC, especially J327???

I love how B just hands over all his paperwork to Cynthia, knowing that she'll just do it all for him, that girl has his back <3

I hope Ted can work out the money situation for him.

ARGH, this fic = NEW FAV

Author's Response:

I think Brian will have his hands full with his new PC. But I love that he's going all out to take care of him - once Brian decides on something, he's not going to do it half-assed, even if it almost kills him, you know? And it's a good thing he has Cynthia with him too. She's going to be a huge help. The money thing, though . . . it's going to be tight. Glad to be your new Fave! TAG

You might have to wait a bit for that first conversation . . . You'll see. Glad you're enjoying it though. TAG

Howard Bedwetter is the cruelest son of a bitch ever! Pure evil!

How in the world are Brian & Cynthia going to get Justin out of there?

Author's Response:

IKR! And Bellweather is backed up by Stockwell AND Sapperstein. It's the perfect triumvirate of evil . . . . LOL! TAG

Umm...yeah. That. ;)

Author's Response:

LOL! Sorry to get you so worked up. But I think you're right, that this IS something we always need to guard against. And Brian will be learning that very soon . . . Thanks for your enthusiasm, my friend. TAG

Holy shit.

You've managed to get even my angst meter pegging out. What has me absolutely torn to shreds right now is our own history. Without the tech addition of the taser control, this is what life was like for so many, many people in our own country for hundreds of years. No control over even their own bodies. Sold to any highest bidder regardless of what that person's physical intent was for them. Families ripped apart. Women subjected to carrying the children of rape by their owners. Men and children forced to stand by as it happened in many cases. Beatings almost to the death for infractions.

Slavery, by any name, is the most inhumane practice in our universe. It is an ethical genocide that continues to this day, in one form or another, for no purpose other than to increase the wealth of a few. And the blindness of so many who would otherwise be horrified to know that people were treated so horrifically, when the evidence is right in front of them every day is astounding! They justify it, pass it off as not their concern. Like racism, child abuse, spousal abuse... That's not my business! That's their family! I'm not going to get involved in something that doesn't concern me! Denial is a very selfish enterprise and leads to the corruption that we see in our world today.

And make no doubt about it, we live in a very slavery filled society still. The few at the top control everything about the lives of the many at the bottom, from whether women can control their own body's reproduction, to how much money it costs to buy a loaf of bread.

This is going to be painful, but putting this under the scope of our beloved Justin/Brian is a very intriguing way of highlighting a very painful truth. We can't be blind to the need for basic humanity or we are every bit as culpable as the slave owners. I think Brian is going to learn a real lesson here.

I don't know who I hate more here, Stockwell, Sapperstein or Bellweather. They all DISGUST ME.

Cynthia is amazing in this, I love how she put Sapp in his place re the PC enforcer.  She is one sassy motherfucker and I can't imagine what would have happened to J327 if she hadn't walked in at that moment :(

Really obsessed with this already lol

Author's Response:

I'm with you on hating them all! I really loaded up on the the bad guys for this story, didn't I? Just wait, it's gonna get worse . . . Glad to have fueled your obsession, cause writing it mine. TAG

This is a pretty good reflection of everything possible in that new 'dystopian' world that 'could be'. Very good call writing this now, Tag.

Scary as hell because it could be only one vote away from the ghost of our future.

Author's Response:

Actually, it was staying up late reading tweets from you and others about the political situation that sparked this Plot Bunny. The way Trump and his cronies talk, it seems like just about anything should be allowed in the name of Capitalism. Ethics are a waste of time as long as you can make money, right? That's what led me to think about how far I could take it. And it really doesn't seem all that far a leap, does it? Scary, huh? TAG

Okay, Tag J.D. (I almost have a M.A. in philosophy, so there...Pllllttthhh)

I'm gonna love this with the angst, right? Oh, yeah... Give me some angsty H/C...

Such promise here and I'm gonna be on pins and needles with Sap/Stockwell/Craig. OMG.

I'm gonna go buy up all kinds of bribery goodies. May even throw in a glass or two of wine to keep the creative juices flowing.

Author's Response:

You are SOOOOOO gonna love all the angst, you Angst-pig, you! LOL. But send the baked goods and wine anyway. I always enjoy a good bribe! TAG

This story just rings a little close to what could be for me.  Love your stories.

Author's Response:

IKR! That's what prompted me to write this. I was reading a bunch of tweets a few weeks back all about how Trump and his cronies think that they can do anything they want in the name of business, and the premise of this story came to me. If you think making money is more important than ethics, you really could probably justify PC contracts. Scary, huh?

Intriguing storyline sucked me in and after only one chapter I'm hooked! Not surprised at all that Craig sacrificed Justin yet again. So many slimy characters in this one but given the storyline I'm not surprised. The Sap, Stockwell, and Bellwether is almost too much slime to take in all at once. Suddenly I feel like  I need a very hot shower lol. This is so different from your usual light-hearted stories and I'm definitely looking forward to more!

PS: Shame on you for keeping us waiting so long😋

Author's Response:

I love hearing that my 'sucking' skills are so well honed - sucking you in and keeping you here were exactly my plan! LOL! And, yes, I've assembled quite the panoply of bad guys here. Just wait till you see what I've got them doing in the story. You'll not only want a shower, you'll want to tar and feather then too. Thanks for reading even though this one is a bit different from my usual. But, then again, it's cold and rainy and dark now, so it just feels like time to write some angst. Enjoy! TAG

PS - I'm so sorry about that long wait between storys! Unforgiveable, I know!

I've had the pleasure of reading all the chapters written so far.  From this first chapter I had the compeling need to know what happens next and haven't been disappointed.

I think folks will be very pleased with this unique story from start to finish.
