That's RIGHT Jen, TAKE CHARGE!!! I loved the way she let Deb have it too. 'How is Joan?' INDEED! She's as drunk as ever and meaner than cat piss but Brian is supposed to have sympathy for her? Amazing that!! Then she tries to make Brian call Michael; what the hell for? So he can whine and make everything about him? REALLY Deb??!! I had just about had it up to my eyeballs with her 'sympathy' and 'suggestions. but then she redeemed herself a little bit.

Star, BEST FUNERAL EVER!!! Deb telling off Joan and then getting ready to rip the bitch a new one was definitely worth its weight in gold! Now everyone knows what a horrible woman Joan Kinney is beneath all the prayers and platitudes she hands out willingly while sparingly doling out the love of Christ that she purports to have.

The commentary between Em and the lady sitting next to him had me damn near choking with laughter! Nevermind that even Jen's side comments had me chuckling! I think even Jack would have found the humor in this one!

WOAH! Jen ROCKS!!!!!!!  First she's all about taking teh burden off of Brian by taking care of everything and doleing out chores for the others to take care of. Then.....oh baby! How she took care of Deb! I thought she was brilliant facing down Joan, but with Deb....I was cheering even louder! Everything was SPOT ON! I get that Brian asked her not to do anything or say anything back then, but as a parent....it's her responsibility! So much could have been prevented if she had. I nearly burst into tears though, when Jen asked about apoligizing to Deb, adn Brian's reponse about how he wouldn't have Justin otherwise. OMG........so ......*sob* touching and so endearing. Jen really has taken Brian as her son. I love how she keeps referring to him as such. My sons. I am so incredibly happy that in this lifetime, she and Brian have developed such an amazing relationship early on.

The funeral was..........entertaining to say the least. I think Jen's "chat" *ahem* with Deb, fueled Deb's ire when confronted with Joan. Deb calling her out on being drunk...yelling at her in front of everyone...that was great. BUT...by FAR the best part was all the little side conversations. OMG...I would have been in hysterics had I been there. Between, Jen, Emmett, that woman....omg...How you came up with all that I have no idea, but frigging brilliant! reading it again today still had me in giggles.

Joan can go stuff it. At least Brian knows where she's really going. Her assumption that she's going through the pearly gates is so typical. The chat between her and "The Big Guy" would be interesting. Her excusing her behaviour and Him trying to make her face facts. Oh to be a fly on that wall!! LOL

Another night made. It's always such a joy to come here knowing I have a new chapter to read.

Cheers,

Elaine

OMG.... I love Jen so much right now. And Go Deb put Joan in her place. I just wish Deb could see the double standard she has. Ty so much for another great chapter.

I forgot to mention about Brian practically telling Joan she doesn't make it to heaven and it going over her head.  So funny.

This was hilarious.  Love Jen taking on Debbie and especially like all of Emmett's comments about what Joan was saying along with the lady who was listening in.  A much better scene than the first time.
