This is excellent: "She had no idea how homosexuals celebrated Thanksgiving or Christmas or anything else. They probably had some sort of weird or depraved rituals that they followed." Poor Joan, so narrow-minded.
Claire seems to have had a better interview with the social services compared to Joan. The "No fucking way" from John must have hinted his state of mind.

Joan is delusional. If Ms Renforth found out how Joan raised Brian and Claire she would never send John and Peter into her care. It's hard to believe that after all she's done she actually thought Claire would invite her over for Thanksgiving.
