I've always loved this story. It made me think of a friend of mine who is gay and was dishonorably discharged because of it. Very recently his discharge was changed to honorable. Now at least he can get the services that he has been denied for almost 50 years. When he called me and told me I read this story again. Thank you for this wonderful story.

Although I didn't have any relatives or loved ones (that I know of) who were both gay and in the military, it always angered me at the way our Country treated their gay military members.
