It was healthy update.

Justin shown so maturity. His thoughts on their relationship. Justin's right, he & Brian need to communicate, Speak up ( in Qaf it would hav clear many things & would not been played emotionally by idiots Micheal & Lindsay). It was only cause Justin (and Gus) Brian feel loved & burden free.

Kudos to your writing. Curious for more. Hugs❤

It's sad to read that Daphne's relationship with her parents is that bad.

I'm surprised to read Justin's feelings regarding his relationship with Brian; I thought they were steady. Maybe I missed or doesn't remember something.

It's great to read that Justin is confident enough to have a conversation with Brian.

Author's Response:

Hey Claire,

Brian and Justin ARE steady, but just like with the rest of us when things are going well within our own relationships, he has his moments of doubt and panic that the bubble they are living in won't burst. Plus it doesn't help that he remembers all of his experiences with Brian prior to the bashing, which includes Brian's brand of pain management. Consequently, whenever Brian went into that mode, it was always Justin who suffered the weight of it the most. He's figuring that with all the emotional upheaval, it's bound to happen, and feels the need to prepare in advance for the eventuality; to gauge where he and Brian are going in this new situation, and to check his own responses to everything. They are both still in the process of dealing with PTSD, and getting Justin back on track emotionally, mentally and physically. So him wanting to talk it out is only a natural response to all of the new stressors that are being introduced into their lives, and finding a way to handle them.

Hope this helps to put Justin's thoughts into perspective for you.

HAPPY READING and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Looks like Brian and Justin need to talk.

Author's Response:

Hi Phyllis,

They definitely do need to communicate. It's something that this whole process of healing is teaching them how to do. And really, it's the only way they are going to be able to have a sustainable relationship regardless of what form it takes down the road.

HAPPY READING and HUGS,

This was a nice little update. It was good Justin talked everything through with Daphne, I think it probably helped him see things a little better. And that conversation with Brian... he may just end up being surprised how it turns out.

Brian knows what his best friends are capable of and what they have said and done. Maybe Justin's brand of love and honesty is something he might find he's really needing.

I'm not sure if anyone is keeping Mel and Brian abreast of all that's going on in Pittsburgh right now... and I know they can't deal with any of it... but at least knowing ahead of time... might be beneficial.

Well, since Justin, Daphne, John, and Peter were at the restaurant, I'm going to presume that Gus is in the stroller sleeping while they were eating. *smirk*... sorry... couldn't resist.

HUGS  ~Cathy

Author's Response:

LOL! You are presuming correctly. Funny thing about my guys in relation to Gus. The ONLY time Josh and Sam went to sleep AT ALL (or should I say when the heck they were supposed to) is when they were out and about in their strollers. Josh has Wake-Sleep disorder in which for every minute he sleeps equates to 1 hour of awake time. Meaning that if he sleeps for 20 minutes, he's up 20 hours straight. FUN, right? As for Sam, he suffers from insomnia, and both are Elopers. My family has spent many years sleeping in shifts so that we can watch the doors and windows. Needless to say that sometimes we miss their strollers even now! But at almost 24 and 18, we all have learned to keep a good sense of humor about it otherwise. Laughter really is the best medicine in situations like these.

As for everything else.... have you been peeking at my screen all the way from your house? Let me find out you have a spyglass that reaches all the way here, LOL

HUGS and LOVE,

~Nichelle
