Justin is slowly healing and Debbie and Vic will help him! and he will focus on his studies and working with Brian I laughed imagining Brian's face when he left alone. I love Ted in your story and Emmett is still a good friend to Justin. The girls are just useless and Lindsay is a real bitch. Hope Wen goes to Hobbs and the Head of St James Academy to understand how horrible their behavior is. I look forward to this. Thanks girls again a great update! You made over 51,000 words strong wow Congratulations !! It was a good read. See you soon!

Author's Response:

Poor Brian. Our readers dare to laugh at him! Don't tell him, but the writers do too. :D :D

We're glad you like our Ted. Under different circumstances, we think Ted and Brian's friendship would have developed a lot sooner.

Is there anyone who doesn't want Wen to boot Jerkins, Dixon, and Hobbs out of St. James? Rest assured, she and Horvath are working on it!

We didn't actually have 50,000+ words as a goal for the chapter. Who would be that insane? :D That's the same as the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) goal. Not that we came close to writing that much in just one month...

Thanks for the wonderful comments, Marie-france. :) The teaser for the next chapter is up in the FanDoc, and we're working on the next installment. We'll do our best to get an update out before the end of the year.

Brian would totally double over: Brian is kinda old. Like, what?" she teased Justin. "Thirty-two?"

Having Wen visit is all fine and everything, but I still say the kids all need to start a petition again Dixon... and with signatures and complaints in hand, visit the schoolboard meeting. And also bring them all a nice styrofoam container of their school lunches.

until that blond brat came along. FUNNY! Brian Kinney ruined for other studs?!

Would you guys PLEASE have Brian tell Michael - LOUDLY AND IN PUBLIC - to put a sock in his mouth and shut the hell up?

And David needs to be told about Michael's play for Ben... hmm.. maybe Ben could innocently ask David if they're monogamous?

Hobbs better watch out. It looks like Justin has a better support system now... and as for Michael's GRAIN of kindness... yeah... I remember Christmas decorating time. One INCH forward - Ten FEET back!

You guys start those sex scenes off like they're really happening... then you throw a glass of cold water on us, waking us to the fact it was another dream!

But the guys sure had lots of sexual innuendos this chapter!

I'm very sick of Debbie's 'My Michael' like he's the second coming of Christ! Geez, wake up woman and smell the pile of shit your son really is!

I can't figure out why they wouldn't accept Canadian currency in Pittsburgh! Heck, even in our little town in MN we get it during the summers! There has always been conversion charts at checkouts from way back in the 70s! (Christ! Am I that old?)

Vic must have a blast with Harley during the day teaching him everything raunchy!

Lindsay is a sanctimonious BITCH! And who nurses until a year????!!! Geez! I hate seeing mothers doing that!

You go, Brian! Telling Ted about the shit Michael pulled with Ben... let's just hope it gets worked into a conversation with everyone present. At least hidden nuances.

Hey, girls! I had partial reviews written up... so I'm skimming through the chapters to remember everything!

PLEASE SHUT THAT F-ING MICHAEL'S MUG UP! I'm so sick of him. He's puke-worthy! And so help me if Michael is behind the robbery, then saying all that stuff to Justin, I'm going to round up a lynch mob!

Will Brian strong arm Emmett into revealing just who Bob/Bobs are? hehe...

did read it again from the beginning.  would like to know what is going to happen to Hobbs

Author's Response:

Reading the story again from the beginning is quite the compliment. :) Thank you! :)

You’re not the only one who wants to know what will happen to Hobbs. It may take a while for that to play out, however.

Your review has helped motivate us to push forward with the next chapter, one small increment at a time. We are making progress, but it will still be a while before we're ready to post. No deadline, though, since we can't guarantee we'll meet it.

We truly are grateful for you and all the other readers who keep returning to our story despite the horrid, infrequent update schedule. :)

It's been more than 3 months since the last update of this fantastic story and I can't wait much longer.

Did I ever tell you I was born without patience?......lol  I'm 72 years old too late to change now.

Author's Response:

Bold to get our attention this time, huh? :D We don't blame you for being impatient, but we are unfortunately down to a snail's pace with cranking out updates. :/ In fact, we've hesitated to respond to you, Mariana, because our updates have become terribly erratic and infrequent.

That chapter was so good!! They're all good, but that was definitely my fave. How brisk D Justin's relationship is growing, hoes Ted and Brian's has blossomed, and the three of them interacting with Carl is perfection. Thanks!!!

Author's Response:

We're made up that you liked this chapter so much! :) It took me (eureka1) a moment, but then I realized 'brisk D' must be 'Brian and.' :D It looks like autocorrect attacked. :D 'hoes' instead of 'how' was much easier to interpret.

Thanks for letting us know that you're enjoying watching Ted and Brian's friendship deepen, as well as Carl and Justin's relationship - in fact, the interactions between all four men. :)

We're working on the next chapter, but progress has been slow because of RL interference. I won't be foolish enough to make any promises about when it will be posted, but we'll update as soon as we can. In the meantime, if you haven't already taken a peek, there is a teaser for the next chapter in the FanDoc.

P.S. I figure BritinManor (Cathy) won't mind if I reply to your review before I get to hers - Let's hope so, anyway, or I'm in big trouble. :P We chat all the time, so she already knows how much her in-depth reviews are appreciated.

I checked about three times to make sure I was still reading TB with the Christmas decorating and a 'nice' Michael. I was wondering if I veered off into an alternate universe.

Buuutttt... then the Michael we loathe came out. Please don't let the comic be part of your story. I'd almost like to know what ideas Michael could actually come up with on his own if he doesn't have the bashing to tout on about. Imbecile that he is, he apparently isn't smart enough that in order to get someone to do something for you, you should sing their praises, not tell them they are mediocre. AGAIN... something that needs to be brought to Brian's attention. AT LEAST, Michael finally thanked him for his cool drawing... but then again... he turned around to tell him he wasn't very good... I can't understand his thinking. Justin should have told him... if all I do is doodle... I'm sure you could do just as well.

Loved Justin's placement of Rudolph's playmate. Which one of you had that crazy thought? (I am getting lots of laughs with this.)

"Sis," Vic's voice chided, "he can't answer with the way you've got him pressed against your tits." God, I laughed... you usually just read... he can't breathe with the way you're squeezing him... or some mundane thing! (Yes, you two must get many laughs while writing.)

Dinner that evening was again a nightmare. When Michael spews food, WHY doesn't someone make a big ta-doo about 'get up and wipe up the table. Nobody wants to see your masticated food'. He'd probably squawk again, thinking it meant masturbated food. Hilarity would really ensue again. The fact he complained about being so hungry, he should have been reminded about all the goodies they consumed after the decorating was completed. Speaking of goodies... interesting you mentioned pizzelles... which are Italian... but are interchangeable to Krumkake which is Norweigen... which is our northern ancestry. The two are so very similar, with the exception of rolling the krumkake. The irons are the same, and as years have gone by, the Norwegians in our area, have done away with the rolling them and leaving them flat. I gifted my daughter with an iron BEFORE Christmas to replace her lost one... just so she could have them for us for Christmas. Scrumptious little buggers. Remember the slogan... bet you can't eat just one? It definitely applies to these.

I am - once again - sick and tired of nobody saying anything when Michael openly disparages Justin's name. There was a newcomer to the group... what must Ben have thought that Michael was allowed to refer to Justin as a slut? Pot calling kettle black... what does he think his best friend is? Who has slept with more men than he can count. And that on-going thing about Brian and Ben... why didn't Ben, Ted, and Brian just say they all met at dinner on the campus? Why bring the White Party into it? Michael made it sound like him and David had never slept with anyone prior to them hooking up. That comment Michael made to Ted,  “It counts,” Michael argued. “Ben’ll never really want you since he’s been fucked by Brian.”  I wish Ben would have put him in his place with,  "You mean like I rebuffed you when you tried to get me into bed?" PUT. MICHAEL. IN. HIS. PLACE!

Then his: Fat lot you know, professor. Why didn't someone explain to Michael that what Ben said was true? Maybe a little embarrassment would do some good. Keep him from spouting his stupid mouth off. I AM SO SICK OF HIM!

I love that Justin gets credit for the 'Eat the Meat' campaign... and that it's Justin Ben wants to have talk to his class... smart and articulate... when Michael is a dunce who'd still be in high school without Brian's help.

“My fellatio,” Michael cut his boyfriend off. “You said my skills are beyond compare.” Yes... they are so terrible, Dr. Dave doesn't want to compare them to anybody. A large jaw doesn't account for teeth not being covered. Eat the Meat. (Hahaha... even I cracked a funny...)

Couldn't Emmett have kept going about Michael's car? Then the stupid comment about how two bottoms... nothing would happen... Brian needs to set Michael straight that Justin is an excellent lover and an excellent top.  SHUT HIM UP!

BOB is missing? Hopefully, he's lost down in the covers somewhere. If not, someone wouldn't really steal a dildo, would they? Because the only one going in Justin's room is Michael... but he wouldn't, would he? That's like up on the top of the ick factor.

“Sleep tight, Sunshine.” Maybe through his sleep-addled brain... Justin heard and felt the kiss...

HUGS  ~Cathy

P.S... Since I am reading this at Christmas, here's Mikey singing 'Jingle Bells' while chewing his cud... (yes cud... I know the meaning)... Ohhhh, thing-go bellth, thing-go bellth, thing-go all the way. Oh wha thun it ith thoo wide in a one horth opem thlay…

Or, maybe his tongue was stuck to a cold pole...

Dickhead Dickson. The fact he's cheating with Chris' tests - and scores - shouldn't that be brought to someone's attention? The RIGHT someone? Chris should be tested by two other teachers, with BOTH tests being graded together by a third teacher; Dixon should be present for all of this. Hmm... this should ALSO take care of Dixon as a teacher. It would also put Hobbs behind the rest of the class as far as graduation.

The gym episode was beyond hilarious. Then when Brian went off his conveyor belt... I could just see the windmilling arms in my mind's eye.

I loved Daphne's reaction to Michael's room. It wasn't until Conzieu's story that I realized there were motorcycle's on the wallpaper. I always thought it was just Captain Astro... But, Christ... how was Dr. Dave even able to concentrate on sex in that room? But then again, he had his Honeybunny with a “Button nose, delicate ears, soft brown eyes, and a cute cock. (If you want MY honest opinion... I think it's the ugliest thing on a man's body - and had no qualms reiterating that fact to my husband.)

I certainly would have liked to borrow Debbie's wooden serving spoon and give Michael's fingers and whatever else a whack. Yes, she definitely needed to do that more often when he was growing up. Sure, Debbie reiterated Justin wasn't a mistake... but I didn't hear anything about 'You are not to speak about Sunshine that way again, Capiche Michael?' He's going to keep doing it until others tell him to stuff it. And I don't want to hear how they all know how Michael is... he doesn't say that about any of the others. There is no way Brian, Emmett, or Ted should allow him to keep running Justin down in their presence. And just how did Michael think Brian couldn't keep his hands off the rent boy? Brian hardly touched him... Liar, Liar, pants on fire... I certainly hope Justin lets that slip to Brian how his very bestest friend informed him about how he was replaced and how Brian couldn't keep his hands off him.

All this makes me wonder about the alarm system. Did Brian have it upgraded after the robbery? Has the code changed? My daughter's alarm system was upgraded not too long ago. And actually, a repairman's truck was broke into across the street... he noticed the sign on their house regarding the security system and came over. They ran the memory back and saw the person who stole the tools. Brian should be watching for how often Michael lurks outside his loft door. Actually, they should be able to tell what time the alarm was deactivated... even with an older model. Have Horvath and Wen gone this route yet? I don't remember anything regarding this. Because, if Justin set it at ... say 1:00... the alarm company should be able to tell what time it was deactivated... like 1:15. That's poor detective work. Brian might also find out how often the alarm is deactivated when he isn't home. Does Michael go over there when Brian isn't home? Making himself at home? Who knows what fantasies Michael might be living out in the loft.

So, do we have Eric the Stalker on the loose? Justin should have never told him where he worked. I TRIED to skim over that LONG sex I did not want to read about. hehe...

REVIEW TIME AGAIN... YIPPEE!

PLEASE do something about the school's lunch. When I was in high school... MANY MOONS AGO... we had EXCELLENT cooks. All very edible. When they make that school board meeting (hint-hint)... they should pack a couple of the 'best' lunches served and treat the school board to some haute cuisine.

Dixon is still being an a-hole. There must be something Justin can have done about Dixon purposely marking his grade down. when he actually had the correct grade... regardless of the steps taken to achieve the solution.

I'm pretty positive that the Christmas chapter has been written and posted, but I feel I need to reiterate that I hope Brian and others have taken note of Justin's sparse winter apparel, and gotten him a new coat, mittens, and boots... maybe expensive tennis shoes too. Somehow, I think Emmett will get him something red for him to dance in.

You two must have a riot while writing some of the stuff in this story... because if it breaks me out in full laughter, I'm almost certain you two have to be laughing while writing it.

Totally hilarious Michael slipping on the diner floor... and realizing it was from the good doc propelling him inward. "At least you didn't whack your head, Honey. You can't afford it." (YAY EMMETT!) And surprisingly, Debbie apologized after jumping to conclusions it was Brian's fault. But the imbecilic man says...  Performing feats of derring-do... to Brian... I mean... what the hell... I'm fairly certain he might have whacked his head.

Then the whole raisin spinach... my poor stomach and head... but as they say... laughter's good for the soul. But then, we had 'lardass' in there again. (Grr... Michael.)

I love the budding friendship/relationship between Carl and Justin. Sure, there's Vic, but Vic is a member of the 'family'... whereas Carl is an outsider, who is still treating Justin like a father would. With caring and concern.

The rummage sale was classic. I loved how they turned it in to so much more... even Ted getting in on the silly act. And... ah-ha... jealous Brian.

I absolutely enjoyed when Ted and Brian were looking at the property. Mr. Religious Kinney. Mumsie would be so proud.

I was a little concerned when Brian started in on Ben when they were eating... but got a good laugh out of the whole thing... but then we had Michael's play for Ben. I was repulsed and angry. I can just about imagine that's the end of that. Mikey escaping unscathed again. I wish Justin would have gone to Emmett. Emmett would know a lot better about what Ted would want to know than Brian would. And even if Emmett wouldn't have told Ted... I believe he might have said something to Michael.

The blond hustler... tramp stamp... Sasha... I started wondering if it was a woman who'd had surgery. THEN...  Brian's finger slid in so quickly, it startled him. Well.. what did he expect... the kid had just been out on a call. But, I got the giggles. Poor Brian... getting laid just isn't in the cards for him. Even a shaft as large as Brian's was going to be flailing for purchase in that cavern. (Criminy... who comes up with that stuff?) LOL...

Lastly, If Brian thinks he's getting Justin in his bed without an apology... guess again. No amount of strategizing is going to work without that public apology.

Kisses Cathy

MICHAEL... MICHAEL...MICHAEL...

As you know, I very disappointed with all the crap he gets by with. Starting with the loft robbery... Smirking as Justin's being booted from the loft... WHY was he allowed to follow them into the bedroom? And, where did Brian expect Justin to sleep that night? He'd already made sure Justin couldn't go home.

Whining and crying.. mulish expressions... visiting Brian at Ryder's... for what? Something that could have easily waited until Brian got off work? Complaining because he outed him to Tracy? (I'm assuming everything was canon before the start... so yeah... Michael has been leading her on... she needed to be told.) Hell, Justin got outed in front of the whole school... he deals with crap EVERY SINGLE DAY! Grow up, Michael.

Harassing Justin at the diner... and proclaiming loudly how Justin should be turning his wages over to Brian (and Brian had the gall to laugh) going through Justin's stuff in Justin's bedroom... just because it USED to be Michael's, doesn't mean he has a right... yet NOBODY told Michael the room was off-limits. All that was said was Debbie telling him he shouldn't go through Justin's things... nobody jumping in to tell Michael how horrible that was to invade Justin's privacy. Yet... here's Brian... still feeling raging anger because his privacy was invaded. Double standards... Brian should have spoken up.

All his disparaging comments towards Justin... be it at Debbie's, the diner, Babylon... "Everyone's acting like that twinkie is so cool when, really, he'd be a homeless, two-bit lowlife without you."...  It's lucky you got rid of the psycho twink when you did."  WHY wasn't he reprimanded???  I just know the blond brat is a deviant." His voice rising, he shrilled, "He has Brian fucking a pussy!" Jesus! Gag the imbecile!

Sure, Carl made a comment the one time... but nobody told him to shut up or ENOUGH MICHAEL! I still say it's a good thing you dumped that irresponsible little tramp when you did!  lardass... inhuman milksop!

It seems like Justin or his feelings don't count... like since it's Michael... they are letting him get by with it. Almost like Michael is their friend... but not Justin. Then saying his ass is so much better than Justin's... they should hold 'best ass' night at Babylon... with hoods over the participant's heads. "Ah... you... third from the left... that's not an ass... get lost." (oh... it was Michael!)

And if it was so easy to carve the turkey, Justin should have handed the knife over to Michael to finish. When Michael said, Gag me with a spoon, I wish someone would have literally shoved one in. And I gloated when Michael tried claiming the wings for him and Brian, and Brian said the wing had too much fat and hadn't eaten one since he was a teen. GROW UP MICHAEL... you aren't a teen anymore. Quit living a fantasy life.

I'm surprised little Mikey doesn't ask Brian if he thinks he should take a piss! It seems he can't hardly think for himself... what do You think I should do, Brian?

Having sex in the bed Justin was supposed to sleep in? TOTALLY uncouth. And, again... other than Em commenting about Justin sleeping on the couch... NOBODY condemned Michael when he said MY ROOM! Then, running after Brian after just having sex with David... WHY does David stick around?! And I can't believe how David puts up with Michael and his eye googling and love for Brian. How Brian can do no wrong. He wants to sit with Brian. And naming his ad agency about made me sick with his diatribe. then saying that about being totally a top... well, what's David?  If I were Emmett, I wouldn't have let Michael get away for calling him more Nelly than Michael and not believing Emmett could top. Crowing at Brian about the backroom, announcing at Ryder's how he doesn't bottom, and sucKing cock is like bottoming... lordy. And Dr. Dave actually WANTS  this guy? Doesn't he have another patient he could pick up? At the very least, he could find someone with MUCH better table manners! I seriously get turned off from eating while reading this.

I am extremely disappointed about the drawing Justin gave Michael for his birthday. At the party... Michael referenced it as a cool drawing... BUT... Justin wasn't there to hear it. YET... not ONE PERSON has said ANYTHING to Justin about the drawing. There have been NO THANKS for the drawing... or... Michael really liked the drawing... NOT ONE WORD!!!! That is so MAJORLY wrong in my book.

I think I'm going to collect a few other readers of like mind, and sit you two down and have a powwow. ENOUGH of letting Michael off the hook. Somebody is always interrupting just before he gets put in his place. At least Debbie has given him a few whacks, but still, she excuses him. Hmm... Baby talk didn't hindrance Michael... *cough, cough, choke, choke*

All-in-all, you can make it up to me and others, by making the imbecilic, whiny, a-hole responsible for causing Justin - and Brian in turn - all this grief. Especially, knowing a little of what is to come. Justin wouldn't be in the predicament he's finding himself in with dancing at the club, trying to put enough money together to pay Brian, if the person responsible for the loft being left unlocked is caught. Let's see who Brian should have been directing his 'irresponsible' comments towards.

Lastly, Can you PLEASE have Dr. Dave and Michael stop using their little cutesy names? Honeybun., Sweetie, Boopsie Love Nugget... *Shudder* *vomit-worthy*

Okay... I've had my rant. You need to remember I've had 22 chapters of Michael frustration to get out! LOL... So, don't hate me!

I LOVE the story, and although I'm further than the 22 chapters, I felt you deserved my reviews. Again, this is an awesome story, and I'm so looking forward to catching up with the rest.

Since I wasn't a member of KD when this awesome story started, and there was too much written to totally catch up on, I have only read bits and pieces. BUT... with this horrendous move, (right, Karynn?) and limited internet access, I have been able to start from the beginning. And since this is one of the days that I have internet, I felt it was time to leave a review.

I have to give you ladies credit. You are doing an admirable job with the story. It's so highly entertaining. I love all the little canon arcs... with slight twists.

I was pleased to note that it is a Ted/Ben pairing, as I NEVER understood the Ben/Michael one.

And Ted and Brian's budding friendship and camaraderie - BIG PLUS!

And Jushun's relationship with Gus? And Gus' first word. You writers made MAJOR brownie points.

Debbie and Vic getting earfuls and eyefuls of Justin... why does this seem like a new occurrence to them? I mean Michael was a teenager in that house at one point... hehe.. although when Debbie commented how well endowed our Sunshine is... I was majorly disappointed she didn't adlib on that about... "WAY BIGGER than Michael, right, Vic?"

I love how you are writing Jennifer. To me, it seems more realistic the way a proper WASP wife would react to Justin. But calling Craig, Daddy? Had me cringing! My mother tried that ONCE... I told her I wouldn't speak to her ever again if she did it one more time!

Perkins, Dixon, the secretaries... boy, oh boy, I sure hope they all have their comeuppance. They all need to go before the school board, and every one of them, fired. I sure hope they don't have jobs before long. Either that, Justin needs to bring a defamation of character suit against them. Perkins calling him a 'faggot'... unless everything shapes up after Detective Wen pays them a visit. And Hobbs... I know Justin doesn't have his cell phone... but I would have loved him being caught on tape, unzipping his pants, and pushing the kid to his knees. Doesn't the school have security cameras? But, if all Wen does is talk to Jerkins... how is that going to stop Dixon and Hobbs? They ALL need visits... maybe Wen should visit Hobbs at home... threaten him with ANYMORE bullying reports... because that doesn't necessarily say it's Justin.

"Hellooo, Briaaan," Gotta love Harley the Budgie. But when Harley decorated Ted's head, and Ted said, "Holy Shit,"... I was so surprised Brian didn't quip... "It's shit, Theodore, but I don't know if it's holy." I could soooo hear Brian saying that.

All-in-all, I have had many chuckles... while sometimes laughing myself sick... especially the conversation around the dinner table. Poor Horvath. What an eye-opening experience. And Michael's illiteracy just added to the whole amusement. Lord, what does it say when a seventeen-year-old is so much smarter and worldly than a thirty-year-old?

But, Widdle Mikey can stick a sock in his mouth... and quit with all mean words. Gus might pick up on them.

And speaking of Michael... be set for my next novel-length review on the numbskull. I am so irritated with him...

But... I love you ladies!

Poor Justin he suffers a lot. I hope he understands that he needs to take care of him whatever happens. I think the pain is a bit lessened when Brian pushed by Ted and Carl admits they are partners wow what progress !! I love Ted more and more in your story Ladies. He is there for Justin and asks the Doctor the right questions while Brian must be disturbed by Justin's tears destroying his designer clothes lol. I like this story more and more. Thank you for taking your time for it.

Author's Response:

You survived the cliff along with Justin, Brian, and Ted! Hooray! :D We're pretty sure Justin has learned his lesson; if not, there will be plenty of people around to reinforce it. Deb's hand is already twitching. :D

José came up with a marvelous description of Brian's progress, so we've awarded him a virtual blue ribbon. :D "Partner is the word of the chapter, no?"

"I want a contract," Brian sternly insists. "No more ruined clothes or furnishings, Twat, or else..."

Thanks for reviewing, Marie-france. :) You and our other faithful readers motivate us to keep writing. :) We're working on the next installment now, but there's a looong ways to go. We should have a teaser for the next chapter - and the rest of the boys' Sunday - up soon, though.

Omg, I loved loved loved it!!! Brian being so grown up & actually admitting his feelings for Justin! What a fucking chapter! Thanks for the emotional roller coaster ladies. God, I love Brian/Ted's friendship so much! And yes, even though there wasn't any sex in this chapter either, I'll be okay but thanks for worrying about me lol you guys are talented writers, what can I say....poor Justin & his battered family jewels, yikes! He's definitely learned his lesson the hard way.

More please!!!

Author's Response:

"Not a fucking chapter," Brian chides, shaking his head in dismay. "Believe me, I know what a fucking chapter is, but it’s gonna be a while before I can provide another one of those. Gotta make sure the blond twat is okay first."

All kidding aside :D :we're made up that you liked this installment so much. <3 What a giant step for Brian - our favorite brunet stud admitted he has a partner. José summed it up best on AO3: Partner is the word of the chapter, no?

Isn't Teddy the best friend ever? :) Brynn and I have decided we want Teds of our own.

Justin really did learn a tough lesson. Should he be foolish enough to forget, there are plenty of people who will step in to remind him - think a whap upside the head à la Deb. :D Thankfully, he's off the cliff and his family jewels are safe. :)

Thanks for making us laugh, Glo, and for encouraging us to write more. :D There will be more - we promise! It may take a while, but we always deliver. :We are writing away and will try to get a teaser up in the FanDoc soon.

Amazing chapter!!! Full of emotions, witty repartees and major steps for Brian!

The parts where Justin is suffering are so painful that I could almost feel his pain. It's obvious that he hasn't been careful not to go to the ER after it happened and he is very lucky to avoid surgery. I hope he will follow the instructions he received.

Ted is magnificent in this chapter: for one, he dares pocking Brian without any fear of retaliation and then, he is very helpful with Justin, and also asks some very good questions.

So happy Carl is aware of what is happening and I hope he will push on Chris and St James. Chris for hurting and bullying Justin and St James for disregarding the aggression.

Brian and Justin relationship is shifting and it's so well written. Brian is sensible enough not to push on the drug and money topics. He also is very gentle with Justin and let go of his "anti PDA" habit so Justin can feel that he is not alone anymore; he has a partner and he matters.

Author's Response:

We're made up that you enjoyed this chapter so much. :) About time we got you - and the boys - off that cliff, huh?

You're not alone in commenting on suffering along with Justin. We're pretty sure our favorite blond teen has learned his lesson; if not, there are plenty of people who will jump in to remind him and get him back on track. He won't get away with not taking care of himself.

Ted's dry wit was always there, but now he has gained in self-confidence (thanks, Professor! :) so that he can both stand up to Brian and have his back. Theodore makes us all want a Teddy of our own.

We've had lots of comments from readers wanting Chris paying for what he did. You're one of the few to connect his behavior to the administration at St. James. At best, the school is neglectful; at worst, they're encouraging the homophobia.

Partner. <3 As José commented on AO3, "It's the word of the chapter." :)

Thanks for the wonderful review, Claire, and for letting us know what most resonated with you. :) We should have a teaser for the rest of the boys' Sunday posted in the FanDoc soon.

Yay, an update!! What a lovely thing to wake up to on a Monday morning. This series has sent me down a path of season 1 AU fics. Great chapter. You do such a great job of writing in character. I don't normally do rereads. Thinking that it might be necessary in this case! ❤️

Author's Response:

Thank you for the lovely comments! :) We're chuffed that you like our story enough to give it a reread - even if that's mostly in aid of keeping track of what's going on. :D Hearing that we're keeping the boys in character is one of the best compliments ever. :)

We are working on the next chapter - yeah, yeah, we always say that :D but it's true! There's just so much going on with the boys, and the updates are stubborn about writing themselves. :D Anyway, we should have a teaser up soon in the FanDoc. Thanks for reviewing and motivating us. :)

All I can say is "Poor Justin!"  Glad he is almost out of the woods with his "injury."  I sure hope Hobbs pays for what he did.  I loved Ted and Brian caring for Justin and the humor mixed in there.  Very clever of you to bring "the nurse" Brian was with when Ted awoke from his coma.  Horvath is the best substitute dad ever.  Justin is truly lucky to have so many people that love and  care so much about him.  I have to say the funniest thing for me is Brian having to deal with puke, tears, and bodily fluids in general on his clothes, duvet and boots! He is gradually realizing the depth of his feelings for Justin. It is obvious that both Horvath and Ted already know and are enjoying teasing him about his "partner."  I'm so happy you will be getting the next part out soon.  I so enjoy this story!

Author's Response:

We're still sighing in relief at having gotten Justin off that cliff, without any need for surgery. Is there anyone who doesn't want Hobbs to pay (aside from his cronies and the other homophobic prics at St. James)? He's deep in denial about who he is and is taking out his fears on Justin - with the encouragement of the St. James administrators. He probably gets his attitude from his parents as well. Grr.

Nurse Robert jumped into the opening scene of the chapter when we were writing it. :D We're glad you enjoyed the banter!

You're absolutely right. Justin has the best 'family' ever, and Horvath makes a wonderful, caring dad. He might've been really uncomfortable around homosexuals at the beginning of the story, but he's changed his tune. We'll credit Justin and maybe Debbie :P for that.

Justin is hard on Brian's designer clothes and furnishings. :D Does the stud get a "Poor Brian"? He's making major progress with this whole relationship shtick, so he wants a little sympathy. :D

Thanks for reviewing, Karla. :) We're working on the rest of the boys' Sunday and hope to have a teaser in the FanDoc soon.

Ouch.  Amazing that Brian made sure that Justin got medical assistance with Ted's help.  Got to say I'm loving Ted, who doesn't back down anymore.  I'm really glad that no operation is required.  Horvath showing up was a bonus and I'm hoping that Wen let's Hobbs have it for the damage he caused.  Best part was Brian admitting that he and Justin are partners.  Amazing.

Author's Response:

You beat out the other readers again with the first review for this chapter. :D EmisFritish on AO3 was nipping at your heels, though, so you'd better watch out! :D

Ted's always been able to match Brian with the acerbic wit, but now he's really gained in self-esteem, thanks to his relationship with our favorite professor.

Whew! We're all relieved that Justin is gonna be okay, sans surgery. We also want Hobbs - and the school admin - to pay for what's going on at St James. We'll have to see what Carl and Wen are able to do; Wen kicking ass sure sounds good.

As José noted over on AO3, "Partner is the word of the chapter." :) :)

Thanks for faithfully following and commenting on our story, Phyllis. We'll try to get a teaser for the next installment - and the rest of the boys' Sunday - up soon.

Brilliant story. Glad Brian and Ted took Justin to the hospital. Can't wait for the next chapter

Author's Response:

More motivation - yay! :) Can you tell how much we like reviews? :D

You're in luck; we're getting really close to posting the next chapter. You won't have to wait as long to get off the cliff as the readers who gobbled down this chapter an age ago, before real life jinxed us again.

Thanks for commenting. :) We're made up that you're enjoying our story.

Author's Response:

The good news: We're working on the next chapter right now. :) More good news: There's loads of story to come with no end in sight. :)

The bad news: We've got a lot yet to write before we'll be ready to post the next chapter. :/ We'll get it up as soon as we can, though. :) In the meantime, if you haven't taken a peek yet, there is a teaser available in the FanDoc.

We're made up to have you reading our story, Sharon. :) Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment - reviews really do motivate us.

Sooooo good!!! I can't to see how Brian or maybe even Ted brings Brian out of his own personal guilt-ridden hell; and how Justin explains his way out of everything once he is coherent!! Love this story. Please keep updating<3

Author's Response:

Good to hear from you again! :) We're made up that you're still enjoying our story. :)

Brian deservedly feels a little guilty here. He did put himself out of commission by getting stoned and drunk, forgetting all about his promise to pick Justin up from Babylon on Friday night. Plus, as he himself thought, he really could have burned down his loft since he didn't put out his third (or was that the fourth?) joint before falling asleep in his bed. That does not mean, of course, that he's responsible for Justin's bad judgement because he definitely isn't - as Ted will doubtless assure him. Justin too, once he's no longer freaking out about what the doctor will say and can think clearly.

Justin may have a difficult time explaining his way out of this predicament, especially since he doesn't want Brian to cotton on to why he's so adamant about earning money. It's a bit of a sticky wicket. :D More lectures coming up from family and friends, we expect - Brian, Ted, Carl, Wen, Deb, Vic, Daph, Syd, Em, etc. You've really set yourself up for it, Justin! :D

We will definitely keep updating. :) That's the good news. The bad news is that real life has been horrid for Karynn (aka eureka1) recently, so we haven't been able to get much done on the next chapter - and you're stuck on the edge of a cliff along with Justin. It will likely a month or more before we can post again, but we will get there! In the meantime, there is a teaser for the next chapter in the FanDoc if you haven't already peeked at it.

Thanks so much for leaving a comment. :)
