Your right.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  I never understood why it was always expected that Brian would do all the "wooing".  I hated it. I'm not fond of gender roles in het relationships I see no reason at all to perpetuate them in gay ones.

Wren, thank you for sharing your story.  I'm so sorry that Michael was taken from you.  It sounds like he was a wonderful person.

I loved this little scene out of their lives.  I too, always thought it was weird that Brian needed to take on the "man" role.  As long as our favorite couple is together and happy I'm all for it.

Hugs,
Jessica

Author's Response:

Thank you, Jessica.  Michael was funny and wise and sometimes incredibly naive and even now, over 20 years since he left us, I still miss him terribly.

We would have had such arguments about QAF but he would have loved it.

Glad you enjoyed the story.

This was fantastic... Brian realized the small things are important... just joining on the family dinner and then accepting Justin's gift cost nothing and made his Sunshine extremely happy...

Author's Response:

Exactly. Yes. Broke he might be but going to family dinner - that's really another of Brian's "grand gestures".  And Justin knows it.

First of all,I'm sorry for the lose of your dear friend Michael..Wherever he is right now,he sure is proud of you and thankful for remembering him while writing this beautiful story...

I love this fic,it's sweet and beautiful...Justin sure has to learn to do another thing that Brian couldn't do himself if he wants to have a pleasant bday..But it was better if Brian himself bought the flower..atleast he's not against about it so all is good, and going with J to dinner with the inlaw is just a bunos,so it was a great bday for J after all..🤗🤗

Thanks for sharing this..Love it😚😚

Author's Response:

Thank you.  Michael would have loved QAF and we would have had such arguments about it.  Glad you enjoyed the fic.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend Micheal.  This story is a should have been.  Justin is the man he was meant to be and Brian was happy because Justin showed that he cared.

Author's Response:

Thank you. Michael was such a big part of my life.  We would have argued endlessly over QAF.  But he would have loved it.  I love that "should have been" expression.  It exactly describes how I feel about some stories.  Glad you think this is one of them.
