300 HOURS!!!  Oh, you naughty woman!  That's even less than in canon!  How is Justin  to survive this?  He's lost his adoptive family, HIS BRIAN, and his rage has intensified.  Will he suffer a breakdown?

Author's Response:

Whoops!  You are right.  I made a mistake by using 300 hours of community service.  I actually remembered the series using 200 hours, but after re-checking it, I see it was 500 hours.  But don't worry, because unlike in the series Hobbs will have more to deal with than the slap on the wrist that the judge gave him.

Justin is suffering a great deal right now, but give it time.  He is, after all, a very strong young man.  Huge hugs, Grammy

This verdict seems even harsher when you consider that Justin‘s estrangement from the family means they can’t console each other. 😞 TAG

Author's Response:

That's true, TAG, but although they both felt guilt over the other being bashed, Brian and Justin would definitely not handle their feelings in the same way.  Justin cares so much for Brian that he truly believes he is doing the right thing by leaving him alone this time.  He knows that Brian has lots of support in healing after the bashing.  Hugs, Grammy

This judges verdict was a better one then the one given during the series.  Of course a guilty verdict would have been nice.  Now how will you get Brian and Justin together again and justice for Brian?

Author's Response:

Oh, he did get a guilty verdict, YumYum; just not the justice he deserved.  A suspended sentence means he'll spend no more time in jail.  When he was arrested, he spent a few days in jail before making bail and that was his 'time served'.  Looks like my Judge was as bad as the series Judge.  LOL!

Don't worry because I can't keep our boys apart forever.  However, it is going to be a rocky road back, but then when has it not been for those two.  Justice delayed doesn't mean justice denied forever either.  Thank you so much for your comments.  I appreciate it so much.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Thank you for further explaining Justin's motives in the last chapter. I guess I can understand to a point but I surely don't agree with him.

Of course Hobbs was going to get off, asshole! Hopefully Justin sticks around now or at least maybe Brian will approach him before they leave the courthouse.

Author's Response:

You are not the only one who disagrees with Justin's thinking.  Jennifer and Debbie are particularly concerned about it, but things will change.  Sadly, it won't happen overnight, but love has never been a smooth ride for our boys.  Thank you for giving me such great comments again, Glo.  Warm hugs, Grammy
