It was so wonderful to see an update on this story when I turned my computer on this evening. Brian sure had a wicked morning. I figured the dream was the sounding of the bat as it struck him, even before he realized that was what he was hearing. I'm not really surprised he went to Justin first, after all, justin was there when it happened, and it was Justin's voice he heard call out.
Yes, Brian played the brat this time. Leading Justin on, and still withholding information. But it is nice to see Brian wanting to be with Justin, after such a short time after 'meeting' him.
I have to wonder if you will give Brian his whole memory back. As time goes on, I'm beginning to think it might be best, if some things are left forgotten. I know I should censor my 'Michael Feelings' around you, but I can't help to say how the little prick strikes again. He was, oh-so-quick to tell Brian about the scarfing incident, but has yet not told Brian about the 30th birthday party Brian gave Michael, and how Michael subsequently wanted nothing to do with Brian. If it wasn't for the persistent Twink, Michael probably still wouldn't be talking to Brian.
Chris Hobbs has been suspiciously quiet these last few chapters. I can't help but wonder what the little homophobe has going on in his head, and what plans he's making for his 'get even' campaign.

Brian's connection to Justin is growing stronger each and every day, so naturally he felt that he was the one that needed to know about this breakthrough. Together they will continue to explore their connection, which may bring back even more of the past little by little.
There had always been a bit of teasing between Brian and Justin once they became close, so I wanted to show that the mischievous playful camaraderie was still there.
Now Cathy, never censor anything with me. Even when I'm not on the same page with someone, I always respect their opinion, especially with someone as thoughtful as you are. Strangely, when you look back on it there were a number of times when Michael helped out Justin with Brian (such as during the cancer situation when Brian kicked Justin out), and then there were a number of times when Justin helped Michael out (such as the situation you mentioned with the disastrous birthday party). The way I see it, both men love Brian enough to put aside their differences if it was to help Brian in the end. Maybe that's why I never felt so much animosity for Michael. I completely understood his devotion and love for Brian (even if it was a tad too obsessive at times). In a way, we are all obsessed with Brian, but who can blame us? LOL!
Ah yes, Chris Hobbs... oh, he is still around. And he will figure prominently in future chapters. But for now, Brian and Justin need to grow even closer. The timing was right for Brian to finally remember something. He is now feeling many of the things he felt with Justin the first time around, which is opening his mind up to the past... slowly, but surely.
