I see the pain in his beautiful blue eyes as I close the door in his face, the pain I am responsible for causing him. I rest my forehead on the cold door as I listen to his pleading cry of “But, why?” as he bangs on the door...and my heart. The tears fall freely as he bangs again, “Why?” his voice still pleading with me to let him in. I slide down the door to the floor and I pray, yes...pray he leaves soon because I can't bear to be the cause of more pain he must endure.
