Chapter 6

Brian and Justin enjoyed this new phase of their relationship and enjoyed experiencing this pregnancy together and with their boys.

It had been fun to watch how Gus and especially Luke had become more and more excited about this baby, the more visible Brian's belly had become. Both boys couldn't wait for their younger brother or sister to arrive and Luke just loved coming up to his daddy, cuddling into his side and then resting his head on his daddy's belly, silently talking to the new baby.

He would spend a lot of time telling his younger sibling about all the things he loved about his family and about his daddies and about all the fun things they would do together once the baby was born.

Brian and Justin loved these moments and especially Brian had tears in his eyes more than once when he saw Luke like that. It reminded him so much of how Justin would behave when they were alone. Justin had taken up talking to their unborn baby as well and he also loved resting his head on Brian's belly, feeling connected to their baby that way.

Funnily enough, as far as Brian and Justin were aware, Luke had never watched them in one of those private moments. Yes, both Luke and Gus had seen Justin with his hands on Brian's belly and leaning in to talk to the baby in his belly, mostly in a joking manner to make fun of Brian in some form or other, but the way Justin would rest his head on his belly, that was something they only did behind closed doors.

It amazed both men that Luke had unknowingly copied Justin's way of communicating with the baby in that manner and more than once Brian would tease him that Luke was very obviously Justin's son through and through.

Justin loved painting Brian with his belly and with either boy spending time with Brian and being focused on the belly. Just looking at his last two sketchbooks, it had become obvious that Justin was more than fascinated by pregnant Brian and loved drawing him, be it alone or with their sons.

“You are addicted to my belly,” Brian teased and Justin could only snort.

“I wouldn't call it addicted.”

“Really?” Brian raised an eyebrow. “We have two full sketchbooks that tell me differently, Sunshine.”

“I have always drawn you and the boys,” Justin defended weakly.

“Not that much. This is extreme even for you,” Brian winked, then stopped teasing Justin. He knew that Justin was fascinated by the changes to his body and he knew that Justin loved every second of his pregnancy. It was obvious in the way he cared, in the way he took care of Brian and the boys and in the way he just wanted, almost needed to be involved in everything. And Brian would be the last person to try and stop that enthusiasm. Not after everything they had been through with Luke. He loved being pregnant again and he loved how much Justin loved that he was pregnant. He couldn't be happier.

“Are you complaining?”

“Not at all. You know I love getting your artistic juices flowing,” Brian smirked in his typical Kinney fashion.

“Not just my artistic juices,” Justin snorted, then leaned over to give Brian a quick kiss. That kiss quickly turned into more and soon after they were panting heavily as they were making out like teenagers on their sofa.

Good thing that the boys were in school and Brian and Justin had decided to take the rest of the day off after their earlier doctor's appointment when they had been in for another ultrasound.

Brian was 18 weeks pregnant now and so far everything looked more than good. He was healthy, the baby seemed to develop just fine and their doctor was very happy with how the pregnancy had progressed so far.

Justin and Brian were very happy as well, because now that the morning sickness had passed for several weeks, they just had to live with the happy side effects of the pregnancy, it being too early for the ugly side effects that Brian had moaned and bitched about ever since they had found out that he was pregnant. So far he had a nice, rounded belly, but wasn't fat as a whale as he liked to complain, he could still walk, didn't have back pains and swollen feet. Justin knew that Brian would be horrible to live with once they made it to the last trimester of the pregnancy, but for now, everything was just great and they were very happy.

And neither of them dreamed to complain about the side effect that they loved most: Brian's constant horniness. If it was up to him, they would have sex in some way, shape or form 20 times a day. Since neither he nor Justin had the stamina for that and since their professional lives didn't allow for that, they just had sex whenever possible and enjoyed being together in that way as long as they still could.

After a few minutes of skilled sucking and licking by Justin, Brian came inside his partner's throat with a deep moan.

“God... Sunshine... you killed me...”

“I hope not, I still have plans for this,” Justin smiled as he looked up from behind Brian's belly and then looked down at his own erection.

“You do? I hope it doesn't involve me moving too much... because you have officially killed me.”

“That would be a pity...,” Justin pretended to look sad. “I really was hoping for a future of years and years of fucking, sucking, rimming and God knows what.”

“I hear they have amazing technologies nowadays. Sex robots and all that shit. I am sure we can buy you a nice sex robot.”

“Ewwww,” Justin made a face. “Are you trying to kill the mood?”

“Moi?” Brian raised an eyebrow and grinned innocently, once he had his breathing under control again, he leaned up and rolled over, so he was on top of Justin. He then leaned in and hungrily claimed his partner's lips in a heated kiss.

When they broke apart, both of them out of breath, Brian smirked at Justin. “Mood resurrected?”

“Just like you, apparently,” Justin smiled, then claimed Brian's lips in another kiss, before he started moving, rubbing his still rock-hard erection against Brian's belly.

“Need you,” the younger man started to moan into the kiss, enjoying the friction the movement of his penis against Brian's belly created.

They continued kissing and making out like that for several more minutes, before Justin came with a loud groan, shooting his semen all over Brian's belly.

Brian pulled back, rolling onto his back, being careful not to get any cum on the sofa.

“You really have a freaky obsession with my belly,” Brian mumbled as he stared at the cum on his by now well-rounded belly.

“It's sexy. I can't help it,” Justin muttered, before he led his fingers over and gently started moving them through the cum on Brian's belly.

“What are you doing now?” Brian raised an eyebrow, wondering if Justin was losing his mind. It looked like he was painting.

“Painting,” the younger man confirmed a second later, looking up at Brian from bashful eyes. “Do you think... that I could paint on your belly... you know when... when you're further along?”

Brian's eyes widened, sure that Justin had really lost it. “What?”

“I'd love to paint on your belly. I read about it on the internet and it's a thing that's apparently very popular right now. Having your partner paint on your belly, using it as a canvas. It'll help build a connection with the baby. We can even have Luke and Gus help us,” Justin explained enthusiastically, his whole face shining with excitement.

“It'll be big like a canvas, that's for sure,” Brian mumbled, not meeting Justin's eyes as he spoke.

“Please?” Justin pleaded, leaning closer and resting his head on Brian's chest. “Later on we can even do our own painting. You know? When the boys are in bed. Just you and me,” Justin raised his head to meet Brian's eyes, giving him a playful look.

“Justin,” Brian groaned, not sure he liked the idea. Sure, he always liked when Justin got playful and he had never regretted going along with any of his plans so far, but painting on him? Like a human canvas? That sounded a bit too much.

“You won't regret it. I promise,” Justin whispered, as if reading Brian's mind. “And you can't really be surprised. You've been dating an artist for years now. You should be used to my ideas by now.”

Brian guessed that Justin was right, he should be used to them by now. Justin was the typical artist and sometimes his muse would strike him and an idea that would seem utterly crazy to any reasonable human being seemed like the best idea ever to Justin. And crazily enough, Justin always pulled it off and made it work, somehow.

“I've created a monster,” Brian muttered in a resigned voice, knowing that when it came to it, he would do whatever Justin asked of him. He would do anything he could to make that man happy because more than anything Justin made him happy as well and he only deserved the same in return.

Knowing that he had won, Justin grinned from ear to ear. “You really won't regret it.”

He then leaned in and they kissed for several minutes, before Justin's phone started beeping.

“Fuck,” both Brian and Justin sighed in unison, knowing that the alarm meant that their little afternoon playtime was over. They had to get ready to pick up Gus and Luke from school.

Thankfully they had planned enough time so that they had time for a quick shower and of course a quickie in the shower, before they made their way to the boys' school and picked them up.

Once back at home, as promised earlier that morning, Brian and Justin shared the latest pictures from the ultrasound they had been to earlier that day.

One of these days, they would schedule an ultrasound in the afternoon, so that the boys could join them and both boys were more than excited about that, but so far that hadn't worked out with their busy schedules. Knowing that there were still several months to go and there would still be several ultrasounds coming up, they weren't worried about it yet though. It would work out at one of their future appointments.

For now the boys were happy with seeing the ultrasound pictures of their unborn brother or sister and loved talking about what they could recognise already.

“I can see the head,” Luke excitedly exclaimed as he looked at the ultrasound pictures. “And these are arms, right?” He asked, pointing to a dark spot on the image.

“Yes, they are,” Justin happily agreed, running his hand through his son's hair, immediately feeling infected by his enthusiasm.

“Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?” Gus asked, looking at the pictures in front of him in awe.

“No, we don't,” Brian answered, looking at his son from the same hazel eyes that he saw looking back at him. “We decided that we don't want to know before your brother or sister gets born.”

“Why not? I want to know,” Luke immediately said and made them laugh with the earnesty in his voice.

“Daddy and I have decided that we don't care if this baby is going to be a boy or a girl. We will love it anyway and to us all that matters is that the baby will be healthy,” Justin explained with a smile on his face.

“But... what about buying clothes for the baby or decorating the nursery?” Gus pointed out.

“We thought about that as well, but decided that there would be enough gender neutral options for clothes and nursery designs. Your Papa already has some great ideas.”

“You do?” Gus looked at Justin from excited eyes.

Justin nodded. “Yeah, I've been thinking about some themes for the nursery. Maybe something nature-themed, like a forest or an underwater scene. Or maybe some animals. I don't really know yet.”

“Can I help you when you've made a decision?” Gus asked, looking excited at the prospect of being allowed to help Justin decorate his sibling's room.

“Of course you can. You both can,” Justin said happily. He and Gus painted together a lot and Gus had become a great painter for his young age and Justin was happy that Gus seemed eager to want to help with the nursery.

He didn't know why, but somehow he had always felt a bit sad for Gus and had always felt scared that Gus might be resentful of their new baby. After all, this would be Brian's and his second biological child and just like they were the parents of Luke, they would be of this baby as well. He felt like it was only making it more obvious to Gus that he was not their biological child. Not that Gus had ever said anything or that they had ever made him feel that way or treated him any differently than Luke. For years now Gus had referred to Justin as 'Papa' as well, just like Luke did and Gus had never voiced anything in that direction, but still Justin couldn't stop thinking that way.

When he had voiced his concerns to Brian a few months ago while they had still tried to become pregnant, Brian had thankfully seen where he was coming from and had understood his fears and had made it a point to make sure that Gus wouldn't feel left out. And Justin knew he didn't, but maybe with him being 13 now and being a teenager, Justin was just overthinking things.

In any case, he was happy that Gus seemed so eager to want to help with the nursery and seemed as excited about the new baby as Luke was.

“Maybe I can come up with some ideas as well,” Gus mused and was encouraged by his father right away.

“Absolutely. Share them with us and we'll see what we like best,” Brian said happily.

They all continued looking at the ultrasound pictures for some time longer, before it was time to get started on dinner.

Luke was only too happy to help his Papa with the preparations, while Brian helped Gus on some school project he was working on.

When they all sat down for dinner, Luke looked at his fathers. “Daddy, Papa, can I have one of the pictures of M and show Auntie Em?”

“A picture of M?” Brian frowned not sure that he understood what Luke was talking about.

“The new baby,” Luke explained as if Brian was awfully slow to understand.

“Why would you call the baby M?” Justin asked interestedly.

Luke shrugged. “Auntie Em and I looked at the previous pictures and well...it didn't look much like a baby and I thought it looked like a peanut. He then said, like a peanut that could be stuffed into an M&M. And since it's only one baby and not two, we started calling the baby M.” He explained it as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “And obviously he is called Auntie Em and he will be the baby's godfather, so... it's cool for the baby to be called like him, right?”

Brian and Justin just looked at each other and tried hard not to laugh. That sounded like Emmett alright.

“Uh, yeah... I guess,” Brian replied after a few seconds of trying to get himself under control. Sometimes Luke could be too damn cute.

“So, can I have a picture of M to show him?” Luke asked again and Brian and Justin could only nod.

“Can I show a picture of M to Grandma Debbie when we go there tomorrow?” Gus asked a few seconds later, obviously having adopted his brother's name for their new sibling.

“Yeah, sure,” Justin answered, still somewhat amused by the new name. “You know she's gonna hug you to death though once you show her?”

“I'll survive,” Gus replied in a bored voice, sounding more like Brian than was probably good for the boy.

“You are a braver man than I am,” Brian only chuckled, clapping his son on the back. “Be my guest and show Debbie. At least then I won't have to do it.”

“Brian!” Justin exclaimed, shaking his head in disbelief at his partner.

“Hey, I am pregnant. No hugging me to death. And if sonny boy here offers, who am I to say no?”

“You are unbelievable,” Justin chuckled in amusement, smiling when Brian just grinned back at him mischievously.

“That I am!”

And that was how the Kinney-Taylors started calling the new, unborn addition to their family M. At first Brian and Justin had refused to use the name, but after a couple of days of hearing it constantly from Gus and Luke and surprisingly enough most of their family (apparently Emmett had already spread the name around), they gave in and started calling their unborn baby M as well.

After all it wasn't as if they had already thought about names anyway.

Chapter End Notes:

This chapter was a bit of a filler chapter. The real angst will start in the next one, I am afraid.
