This is another fic set in Simon’s AU ‘The Other Foot’ which can be found here: http://www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/SiF/OF.htm. This fic has nothing to do with the other 2 fics I have posted so far in this AU. This is simply one of my ideas on how Justin would react to Brian leaving him for someone else. I know a lot of QaF fans/readers don’t like Simon’s AU series because it is mostly Brian/Other and Justin is not very favorably written; to me his reactions are more like Michael might react which is why I started writing in Simon’s AU; I wanted to write a stronger Justin. Basically, all you really need to know about ‘The Other Foot’ is that it takes place shortly after Brian and Justin reunite following Justin’s breakup with Ethan. Brian moves to NY to merge Vangard with an agency owned by Steve Brenner, a man that Brian becomes very attracted to and he eventually leaves Justin for Brenner. My fic picks up after the last scene of chapter 8 (set, I believe, on Dec. 20, 2003) which I have included here as the Prologue. However, my fic does not include anything from the epilogue of Simon’s story, which is set 10yrs in the future.
One more note: according to Season 1 Episode 14, Justin turned 18 in December 2000. I am using that birthday instead of the revised birthday which the series writers changed having him turn 19 in either late February or early March 2002 so that he shared a birthday with Ben who, for some reason, told Michael that he was a Pisces. (My guess for the change is the writers wanted both characters to be Pisces since they are both artistic, creative, compassionate, and empathic.)
