I know I'm very very bad.

I'm so very very sorry,

Don't be mad, mad, mad.

See, as I was lying in my comfy warm bed,

This fantastical tale just took over my head.

(I think I blame Fred, Red and Crazyhead,

Maybe even Happy, Pappy and Ned).

I tried to turn my attention away,

Tell the story to come back another day,

But whatever the reason, whatever the cause,

The ideas just kept coming with hardly a pause.

Yes, works in progress, I have a few,

The last thing I need is a story that's new.

I want to be responsible and do what's right.

I struggled and fought off the urges for most of the night.

I really DID try with all of my might.

However, despite all of my good intentions,

And universal fanfic author conventions,

The only words that seem to come out of my head,

Are those for this story that's about to be read.

All my other stories will just have to wait.

I promise to finish them before it's too late,

But until this is posted, I can't concentrate.
