BRIAN

THE FLOWERS WILL DO AS I COMMAND

“I am not a bridezilla, I just want things the way I want them, which none of you understand.”

“Sound familiar Brian?” Emmett says, stopping the YouTube video.

“I said white for the flowers, not cream or off white.” I tell him.

“I know it’s hard to believe, but the flowers don’t really care that you want them perfectly white. Another thing, isn’t it a bit ridiculous that you want me to fly to China and escort two potted plants here? I checked, they grow here, so I don’t need to go there.” He tells me.

“The ones that he looked up were from there, so go get them.” I tell him.

“He was kidding, it was all to because you kept insisting that anything he wanted, he could have.” Emmett tells me.

“I want them then, so off you go.” I tell him, trying to get him out of the house.

“Like you would know the difference no matter where I got them.” He tells me, flouncing off.

“I’ll know and then I’ll make sure you know.” I tell him, slamming the door.

“Brian, why are you acting crazy?” Dan asks, pulling out chips and dip.

“The flowers were pink, not cream or off-white.” I tell him.

“Brian, it looks white, not pink.” Dan says, looking at the flowers.

“Hey, why are there pink flowers?” Justin asks.

IT'S JUST NOT STYLE IF ARMANI DOESN’T MAKE THEM

“Brian, it's not like we had to come here to get a suit.” Justin tells me.

“I'm only ever marrying once, so the pictures have to be perfect.” I tell him.

“You realize that Gus isn’t going to wear that more than once.” Mel says, looking at the price tag.

“Why did I bring you again?” I ask her.

“Because Lindsay hid Gus’s passport until you agreed to let us come to Italy.” Mel tells me.

I WON’T EAT BAMBI OR THUMPER

“It's lean, versus the nightmare of sugar in the cake.” I tell Justin.

“Fine, you tell Gus you killed his favorite characters.” He tells me.

“Shit, just give us veal.” I tell the caterer.

“Baby cow, are you insane.” Grant tells me, horrified.

“Seafood?” the caterer suggests again.

“I bet eggs on toast doesn’t sound as bad now.” Dan tells me.

“Chicken of the sea, it is.” I tell them, giving up.

I guess you could say I went a little overboard in the planning.

JUSTIN

I have to say, he was committed to turning this into a wedding to end all weddings. Alex offered to pay us to elope when Emmett quit the third time. It took two months to get this thing planned, which means Ted won the bet.

Tonight we were all celebrating the end of bridezilla. Apparently as far as Brian was concerned nothing could go wrong tomorrow. So tonight we dance and pray it doesn’t rain like the weatherman forecasted. Brian was standing at the bar checking to see that the bartender was ready with everything he wanted at the wedding. Lindsay and I were dancing with Gus, when Deb came over to see us. She’d been absent during all the planning and I think part of it was that she always thought that Michael would be standing beside Brian when Brian got married. She was really saddened when she found out that Blake was going to stand beside Brian and it was the last time she came to anything involving the wedding.

“Be happy with him.” She tells me.

“He wants you there.” I tell her.

“I feel like I let him down so much. Tomorrow shouldn’t be about the past but the future you two are building.” She tells me.

“Deb, why would having the only mother Brian’s known being at his wedding be a bad thing?” Lindsay asks her.

“He didn’t really ask me to be there.” She tells us.

BRIAN

I walked up behind Deb to hear what she was saying. I realized in everything I planned, I forgot about who I was going to ask to give me to Justin.

“I wanted you to walk with me to my doom.” I tell her.

“Right, the fact that you planned your doom, just makes it sound more like your happy ending.” Deb tells me.

“Which I would like my Mom to be there for, and to do what mothers do. You can start now by telling Justin he doesn’t deserve someone as wonderful as he getting.” I tell her.

“We all keep trying to figure out if Justin knows what he’s getting into.” She tells me, laughing.

“So are we clear that my mother needs to be there for me?” I ask her.

“I’ll be the one wearing the biggest smile.” She tells me kissing my cheek.

“Good, now go get Carl drunk and show him the many wonders that are Babylon. You know every one of them, since you used to run through the back room looking for me.” I joke.

“At least I’ll get to say hi to Todd.” She tells me, walking to Carl.

“Does Todd actually leave here?” Ted asks, handing Lindsay a drink.

“Um, who’s Todd?” Justin asks, as the other guys look disappointed in me.

GRANT

“You know, if you want him, standing on the other side of the room from him isn't going to work.” Brian tells me.

“Like it matters, when all those guys seem to be fighting for his attention. I will not be one of the many, his head is swelled enough. Plus, if he really wanted me, then you know I think sex would be kind of important, but he wants to get to know me. He’s known me for years and now he acts like I’m some hot house flower he has to be careful with. Sorry, but I want to know what I’m getting, and so far it’s been pats on the ass and a kiss on the head. Where the hell is all the sex?” I rant at Brian.

“I think I liked you better mute.” He tells me.

“I’m so over you. Um well, I, it’s just, don’t do that.” I tell him when Brian gives me the look that most likely had guys on their knees. I stared over his shoulder. “I want hot and he’s giving me sweet and lukewarm.” I tell him.

“Then hot it is.” Dan tells me, dragging me with him out the door.

“It would have been hotter if you like threw me over your shoulder.” I commented.

JUSTIN

I was dressed, standing next to Grant, who really didn’t need to give me details. Brian was running late, thanks to Gus. Which I’m sure made Mr Control Freak’s day. The weather was holding, so everything was set up outside for the ceremony. Emmett was putting the gardenia’s next to the stage steps when Brian finally appeared with Deb. They walked to where I was standing in front of the steps. Deb kissed both of us and sat down next to Carl. Blake and Daphne stood beside us as the Notary spoke the words that would marry us.

“Justin, from the first day, you never left my thoughts. I ended up pouring my heart out to a friend who wanted to know why I was fighting the idea of loving someone. It wasn’t loving you, it was knowing that if I wanted us that I had to give everything to you. Today I give you all of me.” Brian tells me.

“Brian, when it took you a week to call, I honestly didn’t see us together. Which was my mistake, because since the first day of our second meeting, you proved to me that you wanted us. I promise to always listen, to not just your words, but your actions, because they all say to me that you love me.” I tell him.

“Jussin, I got you a flower.” Gus shouts, when the question of anyone objecting came up.

“Gus, where are your pants?” Lindsay laughs, running after him.

“Justin, do you take Brian to be your husband?”

“I do.”

“Brian, do you take Justin to be your husband?”

“I do.”

“Me too, I get to say it don’t I?” Gus in pants asks, squeezing between us.

“Of course Sonny Boy.” Brian says picking him up.

“My dad is marrying my daddy.” Gus informs her.

“Yes he is, I now pronounce them married.” She tells us.

“I get kisses too right?” Gus asks us.

I kissed my husband then my son, and turned to walk down the aisle as Justin Taylor-Kinney.
