LOL about Justin's reply to Michael about opinions and assholes. To Michael it didn't make sense but he was going to use it later against Justin anyway.  You just know he's going to screw it up. <g>

For all the times Michael has called Brian a drop-in dad, Michael is the term personified.  If it was a choice between his daughter and Brian...so sorry JR.

Poor Justin, so concerned about not getting anything sweet if he can't find something unhealthy that his girls will like.  Well, at least he has Gus in his corner.

The Bloom Gallery, a good investment for B/J, but I'm glad they brought in other people to manage it.

The fact that Lindsay didn't even think that her messing around with Sam wouldn't be held against her in her professional life is just dumb.  And Brian, the savvy businessman and call ‘em like I see ‘em speaker that he is, let her have it right between her entitled eyes.  Couldn't happen to a more deserving twit.

I think anyone who has kids goes through the same mental thoughts that Emmett did (we used to stay up all night, etc.)  Kids change everything, the trade-offs are usually worth it though.

The dreaded Whine!  How did he find out? Did he put a GPS tag on Brian's car or something?

Great chapter!

RL butted in and I haven't been able to access internet for a few weeks (that shouldn't ever be allowed to happen to addicts like me), but happily I can now continue with your lovely stories and boy do I have a lot to catch up on... I can't wait!

Mikey is such a child, even in front of other children.  His jockeying for position beside Brian in the car and at the diner...well, my sigh of exasperation would have parted his hair.

The little girls are adorable and the solidarity the kids have with the different parents in regards to food is cute and true to life in my experience.

The two conversations that Mel had with Michael about JR in the same day...I wonder how many times she's regretted that he is the father.  I will never understand that decision, ever.

The last line, LOL

What a great first chapter! I really like the alternating POV's, it really rounds out the story.

Regardless how delusional, Lindsay has chutzpah to suggest she could be Justin's manager and then to proceed to ask for his recommendation to a NY gallery...  It's kind of like saying I drive a car, therefore I'm fully qualified to design one or run a dealership.
Additionally, does she think her picadillo with Sam Auerbach wouldn't follow her around or be remembered?  Maybe with all the women Sam trysts with, never mind marries, Linds is just a blip? Or she is remembered and wouldn't be taken seriously regardless of experience because she's one of his former flings?

I'm glad Justin brought up the article and followed up with the salvo about not taking her advice about relationships.

Lol when Mel challenged Linds on advisng Justin. You would thnk with the 3 of them shutting her down, she'd get a cllue.

Yay, B/J got married! The fact that Lindsay and Michael weren't invited didn't give either of them a bit of a reality check to their change in status with B/J?

Twins (1 for each)! How smart to stay in NY for the 1st year. Too bad when they came home to the Pitts, they couldn't ship the terrible twosome far, far away...to NeverNeverland.

Who'd a thunk it, Lindsay is becoming more of a Justin issue than one for Brian (which makes it a Brian issue too though).

I'm kind of surprised that Peter would even speak with Lindsay, unless he thinks he's helping Justin by keeping the overbearing stage mama from annoying his client?

I love some of your descriptions:

  • slighted housewife (reading this chapter, it's an apt description)
  • petulant twosome (is so right and I'm glad Deb not only sees it but publically acknowledges it to everyone)
  • Ted told Michael to go read a comic. (heehee, Michael probably thought it was a great idea!)
Lovely chapter, looking forward to the next!

This would be a great one. You could go with several different fathers for drama:

  • Ben Bruckner - whether he's still together with Michael or not
  • Hunter
  • Dr. Alex
  • Carl Horvath
  • Drew
  • If you want someone unknown, a bouncer/manager from Babylon, etc
