I know I have reviewed this story...somewhere...before, but I couldn't resist doing so again.
I was always haunted by that line, "...but I don't remember anymore" and Brian's face as he said it. This story brings so much to what could have been.
I love the directiion the author took and this remains one of my favorites of all time!
Five years have passed. Justin's turned 27, Brian just going on 39. What if Justin wasn’t the success he’d hoped to be in New York? What will he find when he returns home destitute, his hopes dashed? Has Michael managed to realize his fondest dream? Can Brian and Justin overcome the mistakes made during the intervening years?
Note: Though this may seem like a Brian/Michael pairing, it is not. Michael is not nice and does hurt at least two characters.

Best chapter title EVAH!!! I loathed Lindsay's character too and love seeing her WASPY ass get her comeupance almost more than I love seeing Mikey's whiney ass get his!
In response to what you replied from my earlier post, I loathed Lindsay from the first episode as well...almost from the first scene. All that Peter & Wendy shit just made me want to hurl. She SO wanted in his pants. And she had just given birth!!! What a HO!
I always liked Melanie & thought she and Brian had a mutal respect for one another so I really like anti-Lindsay stories with a likeable Melanie.
I am sooooo in love with this story & the fact that you update daily!

Yeah she makes me blench but not as much as Michael who consistently lied and puppy-dog-eyed his way through the series, ugh and shudder. And that custody battle...seethe! Especially when she went for 'martyrdom' in the hospital. And another thing...on a roll now...with their wedding Brian wanted to stay and she shoves him on the airplane! Off to type some more anti-Lindsay and Michael!

I'm with jazzepoet...way too slow on the romance front for me; however, I must commend the authors as I don't think I've ever read a fic in this fandom where spelling, grammar, and punctuation were as nigh on perfect! Even the proper use of blonde/blond, brunette/brunet. Now if we could just refrain from using bicep rather than the proper biceps. And yes, I know bicep is considered a derivative according to the dictionary, but really, biceps is the proper terminology.
I also know I'm probably beating a dead horse and I know it's been stated that the British-isms add color/character to the story, but honestly, as an American reader it just yanks me right out of the U.S. QAF headspace every time I see a "whilst", "anyroad", "cuppa", etc. That being said...I'm not the owner of the story and you must proceed however you see fit, but it is disconcerting to say the least.
