I don't write at all but I read a lot. So, I'm more than happy to have a new site where I hope I can find new wonderful stories or old ones about B&J.
This is Brian's journey roughly two years after the end of the series. He and Justin have been living in New York City where he has just opened a new branch for Kinnetik. He knows he is going to have to make some major changes in is life and deal with a past that has haunted and shaped the man he knows he is. He is finally ready to face his demons and become the man he wants to be.
This story has many of the old gang we love and lots of new characters too.
Please be warned: There are scenes of violence, drama, angst, mental illness, drug use, non-consent, rape, Brian and Justin with other characters, addiction, discussion of Brian and Lindsay's past, Brian and Cynthia's past, hetero sex, Brian in a brief sexual interlude with a woman for non sexual reasons.

Some people had a problem with the abuse and others had problems with chapter 17. I just remind myself I write for me and anyone else that tags along with me is a bonus.
The goal of the "The Review" was simply to show first time writers that you can take something fairly small, give it water and fertilizer, and it can grow into something big and beautiful. (plus, it would not leave me alone)
Thank you for the compliment. I think I am a so-so writer, because I have a love-hate relationship with adjectives, and I like my stories to be dialogue driven.

Ahhhhh Brian barefoot... What a joy! In fact, everything bare was a joy with him. Don't get me started on his hands... Too bad Gale's tattoo was almost always hidden. It fitted Brian well IMHO.

No, this is not the end. I have the next three chapters written but the middle of chapter 23 feels wonky to me, so I am letting it ferment for a while.
I don't like to force my writing, so when it hits me, you will get the next two fairly close together.
Don't worry about Gus or Jenny, Daddy Brian is my second favorite incarnation of the character, though this is not really a story about Brian's quest for another kid.
He is too fucked up right now for that.

Now for your review: I've always felt that Brian and Justin were kindred souls and that their personalities complimented each other. I try to show that in everything that I write. They are both fierce protectors in their own rights. Whereas Brian can be physical at times, Justin can be just as effective with scathing remarks. They are both also too intelligent for the other one to fool easily. I LOVE writing them! It will be interesting to see what other developments happen throughout 'the week' LOL *evil grinning and rubbing hands*
