Brian comes to Pittsburgh as an exchange student from Ireland. He and Justin are the same age, but Justin is the cold "I believe in fucking not love" persona. They each have past problems to deal with.

Beautiful epilogue where we can read that Brian's parents were always supportive and loving: that's something unusual. The fact that they welcome Justin is a great sign as well.
The visit to Gerry was a so much needed step for Brian's recovery and he finally could let him go.
