So relieved they talked!
Beautiful painting.
Author's Response:
It was really needed; now maybe they can make some decisions on what to do with all the pieces of the puzzle...or well, most of the pieces anyways; there are a couple of things yet to come. Thanks for reading! :)

I am so glad to see that Brian and Justin have gotten their secrets out of the way. Getting away from it all is just what they need. The painting with the colors sounds fantastic, but I think the black should be reserved for Lindsay as she tainted everything.
Author's Response:
With a clean slate they can definitely come at the problem(s) with a fresh look at them and sole them together. As for Lindsay, she definitely contributes a lot of the black in the painting, but there are other players, and not all have been revealed, so she doesn't get the full blame. Thanks for reading! :)

That painting should go in their bedroom so they can always remember when they see it Never To Keep Secrets.
Brian and Justin getting away is good the family needs to stop seeing Brian and Justin's relationship as sport they can view whenever they want
This relationship is about two people and is not a group activity, plus their opinions just exacerbate a situation that really needs to be dealt with by Brian and Justin.
Drew is a Great Friend who is ready to help them escape so they can strengthen their bond and he doesn't need to be in the center of the storm to see that it is going to be bad and he should mind his own business.
Perhaps after talking, reconnecting and facing Lindsay together, they should sit down the family and lay down some rules that everyone will follow or face dire consequences before Sunbeam is born.
Can't avoid confrontation forever and certain members of this family need to wait to be asked to help and not run roughshod over Brian and Justin.
Author's Response:
It definitely should hang somewhere prominent, where they can see it every day, and remember what keeping secrets can do. And it's true that the family, despite their good intentions, need to butt out. It's easy to believe that because you see a couple interacting that you know what's going on in their relationship, and that is so far from the truth it isn't funny. I remember when I broke up with one of my boyfriends, my friends couldn't believe it because he seemed so sweet and charming on the surface. He seemed to have it all together and my friends were jealous. But what they didn't see was behind the scenes where he was a lazy, indecisive mess that drove me insane. He couldn't make a decision to save his life, even if it was just what to have for dinner that night. And I had to get out before I ended up throttling him. A vast majority of a relationship, especially with someone as closed off as Brian, happens behind closed doors; assuming you know anything that's going on...well you know what happens when you assume... Great chapter. So intense and detailed. I do believe that the more you write the better you get. Hope RL is being good to you.
Author's Response:
Well, they are very passionate people; it was bound to heat and explode before they resolved things. And thank you! It's always great to hear that the story is developing and getting better rather than stagnating. Thanks for reading! :)

That was a good talk. I think they do need to get away and regroup before the baby comes. Justin shouldn't be under so much stress right now.
Thanks for the update.
Author's Response:
I've always felt that neutral territory helps a great deal when opening up abou something that's on your mind, and the ocean or beach in particular is always soothing to me. Plus they are in a place that the family, for good or ill, can't access them, whichh means less stress and they can focus on each other. Thanks for reading! :)
