It's almost a shame to see the end to this story. Seeing Missy grow knowing she's loved not by two, but by three parents is fantastic. This is an excellent lesson on how to solve problems without physical violence.

I did read the unedited version, lol. I do agree that your writing has evolved and improved over the years, Linda. The core of this story is still fantastic, though. :)
I truly hope that my writing will develop as much as yours has. I have six years to go, hahaha.

Author's Response: OMG I'm so sorry you had to suffer through the old version. I do think it's a cute premise - what if Justin was the one with the baby instead of Brian, and Oh! How many other details can I reverse while I'm at it??? LOL But before I read a ton of books on the art of writing fiction, I used to think the more words the better. MISTAKE!!!! Especially with all the adverbs and adjectives. I didn't know how much they detract from telling a story. But by the time I wrote The Making of an Artist, I learned to simply choose the correct word and you don't need all those flowery modifiers. I'll let you know when the last chap of Vice Versa is edited and posted, and I really hope you'll download the better version. It means so much to me that you'd like to do another read-through. I've seen Ted's Got Talent and Tricky Business being posted and I do want to read them. I will as soon as I finish Vice Versa and also finish the beta on a really cool series that Techgirl has written. BTW, your writing doesn't need to improve or develop. Of course, I've read and commented on this story before, but I enjoyed it just a much the 3rd(?) time around. When I saw you posting it here on KD, it inspired me to reread the download on my tablet. I made some mental notes of things I wanted to say, but those have evaporated in the interim. LOL
I do remember that one of the small reversals I liked was Justin wearing the button-up jeans instead of Brian.
Otherwise, suffice it to say that I think this is a fanstiastic, well-developed story that I know I'll enjoy many more times. Thanks for sharing, Linda! <3

I do have to say, though, I hope the reread you just did came from this new posting because I'm in the process of editing this story. This is the very first one I wrote seven years ago, and so many things were wrong with it. LOL I've developed a completely different style of writing over the years and decided it was time fix this story to reflect that. After each chapter was edited, I posted it here on KD and changed it on all the other sites. The last chapter is almost finished. It should be posted here in a few days. If you reread the unedited version, I apologize for putting you through that. LOL

This story makes me smile so much, I can't handle it. You have managed to keep Brian in character, while making him so open and loving towards Justin, Daphne and of course little Missy. I adore how much he loves that little girl.

You know what I love about this? How it's a perfect mixture of cute and hot, and then a bunch of cool little twists thrown in. I wasn't expecting Brian to call Justin his boyfriend like that at the diner (but I loved it) and then he went and admitted he'd never bottomed before. I mean, THAT THREW ME. And Justin's response was perfect, he didn't make a big deal out of it, and he even teased him about saving himself, love love love.
