Yes, poor Justin indeed. To be betrayed like that by the two people he loved and probably trusted the most... That's a huge betrayal :(

Jenn seems pretty confident in her ability to calm Justin and "take care" of him. I wond what Justin will think of her confidence. If she tries to speak to him they way she just spoke to Brian. This could be interesting! No sure I'd be willing to easily forgive i nJustin's place. I get that hse's dealt with his anger before, but this was a major betrayal. MAJOR! I guess we'll have to see.

Got to be honest I want Justin to sue for custody and win and since I honestly don't like either his mother or Brian in this story I want him to take him back to New York for 6 months than Brian can have him for 6 months. This was rediculously cruel and I personally would forget I had a mother if she did this...

I get your anger, but lets hope Justin won't do that. Poor Luke, just imagine how he would feel if he couldn't see his daddy and his brother for six months :(
Maybe they will all find a better way to deal with this. We'll have to wait and see ;)

I don't think there will be anything to justify the pain Brian has caused Justin by not telling him about his son.
And Jennifer is about to learn that Justin's as a teenager was easier than Justin as a grown man with a lot of pain and anger.
Even if Brian didn't want to tell Justin Jennifer should've because despite whatever this reason is Justin had a right to know and decide what he wanted to do.
I really can't respect Jennifer right now and she is going to regret like Brian why you shouldn't lie to Justin.
Help everyone who knew and didn't tell him are going to regret that decision.

Well Jennifer has a hell of a nerve. She acts as if she’s blameless here....can’t she see that she has done just as much damage? At this point I don’t know if I can continue this one, because no matter what there is no reason good enough for Brian to have done this. I can’t believe I'm about to say this, but this is the first time that I hope our boys DON’T get back together. Deliberately keeping a parent from a child is unforgivable.

I totally understand you and this story is seriously leading us down a dark path, that's for sure, but we'll have to wait and see if there might be a way back from all this for Brian and Justin. In any case, it won't be easy, it won't be fast and Brian would sure have to work for it. And that is if Justin is even willing at all to forgive him and Jennifer. We'll have to wait and see ;)
As for Jennifer, she'll find out very soon how much she has hurt and betrayed Justin.

I have to agree with Rejori here. Loving the story so far but I'm not finding much about Jennifer to praise. I want to smack her! Hard and several times! She knew her son had a child, she got to enjoy years of being the gramma, but denied her son the joy of being a dad all those years? (If my mother had done that to me for any reason, she might never see me or my child again.) I can see this being the route Brian would go because of all his cliffs and insecurities and neuroses, but Jennifer? Even if Brian didn't want her to say anything, she had an obligation to her son to tell him.
But this is about to get interesting, I think! :) If there isn't a smackdown between Justin and Jennifer, I'll be sooooooo disappointed! LOL
**I cannot wait to find out the full back story here. I have the distinct feeling that something really big will be unveiled! I'm eagerly awaiting updates!

I first want to say, I love your story. But after reading other reviews, I'm wondering if I was reading a different story. How could anyone think Jennifer is such a great person. She put all the blame on Brian as if she's has no blame what so ever. She got to be Grandma but doesn't seem to care that Justin wasn't allowed to be a Dad. And the fact she can compare any little problem she and Justin had with him growing up, to what she's doing now. It is deplorable. I know we will find out more backstory as the story continues, but right now the only victim here is Justin. I not including the children. I hope you write Justin with a backbone, because he needs to knock these people off their high and mighty pedestals. I can't wait for the next chapter.

I totally get you, I am a bit surprised by all the sudden love for Jennifer as well. When I was writing this, I still felt Justin's pain and hurt over her betrayal and can't say that I felt much love for her. It will take a long time for Justin to forgive her, if he can at all.
Their upcoming conversation in the next chapter will be intense and very emotional and we'll finally get some insight into her and Brian's reasons for not letting Justin know about Luke.
I think I gave Justin a backbone, but you'll have to be the judge of that when you read the upcoming chapters :)

Brian's comment was more meant in general as he dislikes Melanie, but she did indeed do something and we'll find out about that in upcoming chapters ;)

Another great chapter I am gagging for the chapters to read to find out what is going on. Loved how Jennifer has Brian’s measure! I was amused by the comment by Jennifer “ do you think this is the first time Justin has been angry with me? How do you think I got through puberty! I suspect though Justin’s teenage anger over boundaries or borrowing car to keeping his son from him! I think Justin has a right to be furious

If Justin is going to hate someone it should be his mother. She obviously knew and never told Justin. Lindsay had to have known too. I'm looking forward to your next chapter and an explanation on why Justin wasn't told.
