Great chpater. Glad that Brian's injury was not as bad as it could have been. I wish Brian wasn't so damn stubborn and leary of asking Jsutin what is wrong. Justin seems to be in his own little world and Brian is so wrapped up in protecting him that he is making excuses for Justin's iffy behavior. Hopefully he will wake up or at least push back on Justin.

Thanks so much! :) Brian got lucky, for sure! Things could have been a lot worse. I think Brian is gunshy when it comes to asking Justin what is wrong, because he's so afraid that the problem is him -- those insecurities cropping back up again that have been "his" since childhood, that he normally hides behind his walls. Brian is protecting himself here, subconsciously...afraid of the truth.

Thanks so much! Justin's symptoms are all adding up to depression, and the stigma associated with it is adding complication to his situation.

Brian's body is in a lot of pain that he isn't feeling, so his system is having a different sort of reaction to it since it isn't being resolved. Hopefully the next chapter makes things a little clearer on what is happening with Brian!

Not to worry, Rob is all about making sure Brian is okay and that he does what needs to be done. He also has some inside information as to the potential seriousness of the situation. As for being careful...stuff happens sometimes no matter how careful we are. :)

Thank you! I really enjoy writing the physical components of their relationship, as well as portraying Brian as a sexual being even though he has a spinal cord injury. Such a turnmoil must be painful; hot then cold, Justin is perfecting the mood swings.
How will Brian be able to ever speak his fears to Justin? It's quite impossible to talk about something that isn't visible anymore. Justin might dismiss Brian's concerns as fast as he can.

Justin is struggling with a lot of things right now. As was mentioned in this update, there's a shame element here -- Justin is ashamed of how he is feeling and also feels a responsibility for it (though he shouldn't) as well as a need to not burden Brian with it, much as Brian felt after his own accident.
