It's a shame that Michael reacts so badly about Justin. It's almost like when they first met. Emmett is better at least he understands. Hopefully they can kidnap Justin?
Author's Response:
Maybe we'll understand Michael a bit better once we find out what happened between him and Justin.
Kidnap Justin? I don't think that's legal and as mentioned before by Michael: They tried interventions and it didn't work and it won't unless Justin wants the help he needs...
So we can only hope that he'll see that he needs help and will accept it!
Thanks for your comment :) More will be up soon!

Darn, finding the real Justin will be hard. Maybe if Brian needed his help in some way, trying to get Gus to come back to the US?
Author's Response:
At this point in the storyline Gus still lives in Pittsburgh. It was mentioned in earlier chapters that Brian spent time with Gus after he returned from New York.
Brian left Pittsburgh in what would have been season 1 and was gone for 3 years, so I guess if we go by seasons, we would roughly be at the end of season4, early season5 where Mel and Lindsay are still in the US!
In any case, I am sure Brian will come up with something :)

Hi again! Great chapter! I'm so sorry for Justin. We know how much he loved Brian and I can well imagine that in this situation, without a supportive background, with the wrong friends, he quickly got on the wrong track. I've lost a couple of friends because of drugs and alcohol, so I know how hard it is, if you can't stop. Hopefully for Justin it's not too late (I know that it's not because I know you would never do him longterm harm :-) ) I really loved your idea with those pictures. That shows that he still loves Brian. Poor guy! And I'm glad that Brian slowly realizes how strongly not only Justin felt for him but that there was also more than just sex between them. I'm soooo curious about their first encounter! Warmest regards!
Author's Response:
Yes, I feel sorry for Justin as well. There was so much going on in his life at the time and it would have been easy for him to actually lose himself and go down the wrong road... I guess I wanted to play with that idea a bit when I came up with this storyline. We always talk about how strong Justin was as a character, but really, his life could have easily turned out differently at the time...
I am very sorry to hear about your friends :( I am sure that must have been really hard. Thankfully, I haven't been in a situation like that yet, so I can only guess how hard it must be on friends and family of the person going down that road...
You know me well, that's all I will say ;)
It's about time that Brian finally realises that it was never just sex to Justin and that his own behaviour helped giving Justin the impression that there was more between them. And yes, it's also long overdue that Brian confronts his own feelings for Justin.
That encounter is coming up soon - long overdue!
Thanks for your comment - I really appreciate it :)

We've only heard from Michael. Until we hear from Emmett, Ted and Daphne we won't know the truth.
Author's Response:
This story (for once!) is not Anti-Michael, so we can trust him on this...
Thanks for your comment!

Go find Justin...This is so sad but gripping !
Author's Response:
Thank you, I am glad you're enjoying the story!
Brian's and Justin's first meeting is coming up very soon...
Thanks for your comment. More will be up soon :)

Although he needs Michael's input about Justin right now, Michael has got to learn when to keep his mouth shut. I know, hard for him to do. It's almost like Brian hasn't been gone for three years.
Mother and son reunions are sweet. Time doesn't seem to matter as long as
Brian is back where he belongs...engulfed in one of her powerful hugs. Why would Justin want the sketches of Brian back from Deb? Could he get a llot of money for pictures of the old Stud of Liberty Ave? I'm glad he didn't get them. They're his memories of better times.
From what he's hearing from everyone, will he even recognize Justin when he sees him for the first time? Can't wait for that to happen.
Author's Response:
Haha, not a Michael fan, I take it? ;)
As for the sketches, I am sure that especially the sketches of a naked Brian might be worth a couple of dollars to some horny fags on Liberty Avenue, but that's just my guess ;)
We'll find out soon how Brian will react to seeing Justin - that meeting is coming up very soon!
Thanks for your comment. More will be up soon :)

Awesome! This is certainly a new theme. I've never read a story where Justin hit rock bottom. Can't wait to see what Brian does about it!
Author's Response:
I am glad that you're enjoying the story :) I agree, usually we have many stories about Justin being incredibly strong and making it through whatever life throws at him, but for once I wanted to do something else. For once I wanted to show how thin the line between making it and between going down this dark road really was for Justin during season 1...
We'll find out about Brian's plan to fix things soon :)
Thanks for your comment!
Date: Jun 18, 2020 7:40 pm Title: Chapter 3
Hi again! Thanks for another great chapter, and I still want to shake Brian... In my opinion there were already so many small moments in S1, looks, gestures that showed that Brian already felt more for Justin, even if he didn't understand it himself or wanted to admit it. Did your Brian forget this or repress it or did he really just saw Justin as a fuckbuddy? Was he really not aware of how deep Justin's feelings ran for him? I really feel sorry for Justin. He was really at a critical point in his life when Brian left, somehow lost (apart from Daphne maybe) and to imagine he lost Brian from one day to the next without hearing anything from him... Terrible... Hopefully he wasn't at one of Sap's parties... "Shudder" I'm really curious, how you will continue this. And I'm looking forward to Sunday evening! Stay healthy!
Author's Response:
I agree with you, the signs were there even in season 1, though personally I think a big change happened after Brian's scarfing episode when he made the decision to go to Justin's prom and of course what happened then. Like you said, I don't think Brian was ready to admit to himself what those feelings meant and that scarfing episode finally made him accept the feelings he had for Justin, which sadly means that in this story he wasn't quite at that point yet :(
You're asking a good question concerning Brian's feelings for Justin. I think he told himself that Justin was just a fuckbuddy and nothing more, but over time, he will come to realise that he was mostly lying to himself. The next chapter will give a few more answers in that direction ;)
Yes, poor Justin. He really loved Brian, then was thrown away like that by Brian without any concern for his feelings and all that at a time where he had already "lost" his parents or at least his father and was being bullied in school for being gay. It was a hard time for him and in this story he sadly cracked under the pressure and went down a very dangerous path :(
We can only hope that it's not too late and that there is still hope for Justin. We know that once Brian has a plan, he can be very determined, so he better come up with a plan to rescue Justin!
Nope, Sap is not a part of this story, but... well... let's just say the last years haven't been easy for Justin anyway, even without Sap's involvement :(
Thanks for your comment. I really appreciate reading your thoughts on this little story of mine :)

I'm not a fan of broken Justin or Brian, and I've never trusted Michael about anything. If someone I knew was that broken I wouldn't care if Brian said he didn't want to hear it, you still tell them, get it out there, you don't stop telling him. Like I said I don't trust Michael.
I'll give it one more chapter, if it is true that Justin is doing all those drugs, I won't be sticking around. It's not anything to do with who the author is, I just don't do stories were one of the main characters falls down the "I'm an addict" hole, I am just not a fan of those.
Author's Response:
This story won't be Anti-Michael for once, so unfortunately, what he said is the truth :( That aside, I know what you mean about telling Brian anyway. Too bad Michael always cared more about Brian than anyone else...
I know that this story is not for everyone, but yes, this story will be about Justin being a drug addict. If that's not something you want to read, I totally understand and respect that!
Thanks for your comment! :)

Great chapter..
Can't help but wonder what exactly Justin did to Michael. Did he make a play for Ben?
Hi guilt my name is Brian, welcome to my life. Why don't you and any friends you may have with you come wreak some havoc.
Author's Response:
No, Justin didn't make a play for Ben. We'll find out later in the story what he did and why it made Michael so angry at him.
I don't know why, but for some reason Brian feeling guilty about something is a Brian I really love to write. No one does guilt like Brian Kinney, even though he pretends not to have any feelings at all...
Thanks for your comment! More will be up soon :)

Date: Jun 09, 2020 6:48 pm Title: Chapter 2
Hi again! Another great chapter! Thanks for that! And it's somehow funny... After your answer to my review, I just couldn't get the fate of Justin out of my head and I wondered what went wrong and if the others hadn't noticed anything... And I got my answer ... Michael and Em tried to speak to Brian about him and he stifled every conversation ... I could really shake Brian. He just left Justin there really without looking back or a simple thought, didn't give a shit about him, doesn't even ask about him once and then after three years it occurs to him that he could see what Justin is doing ,.. I'm a little pissed of Brian, but well, that's what he was like at that point ... and at least, it's great, that he had changed, had matured... I'm really curious and also a little scared for Justin... As always you captured me with your story! Warmest regards!
Author's Response:
Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it :)
You are right, we can't forget that Brian used to be a different person when he left for New York. He was all about being the Stud, he didn't give (or pretended not to give) a shit and that's what he showed everyone including poor Justin. His time in New York where he wasn't the Stud anymore and was all alone and had to start building a completely new reputation changed him and hopefully those changes will help him reconnect with Justin in the future.
I can promise that Justin didn't get bashed in this one, so it wasn't Hobbs who did anything, but other than that... poor Justin didn't have a good time in the last three years.
We'll find out in the next chapter what happened to him.
I really appreciate your comments and you sharing your thoughts about my stories with me :) Stay safe!

Boy oh boy, regrets are going to fill him like he's never known. He's going to be kicking himself. Gulit, shame, blame, maybe even disbelief. Oh Brian, what did your leaving cause to happen?
Lost him?! what is Michael talking about? Please tell me Justin didn't get bashed. Maybe he took on Brian's philosophy on life and became the new stud or maybe he's involved in drugs. Deeply involved. Anything but being bashed and left permantly damaged. Did he give in to Craig and go to Dartmouth?
Aaaagh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Author's Response:
You are not wrong about the regrets and guilt... Poor Brian is definitely in for a ride :(
I can promise you that Justin didn't get bashed and whatever happened has nothing to do with Hobbs. Other than that, I won't make any promises :( We'll find out in the next chapter what happened to him.
Thanks for your comment. More will be up soon :)

Lost him how? Is it possible the new Brian can change the new Justin?

We'll finally get answers in the next chapter, I promise!

Okay. A bit of a cliffhanger. This story is intriguing me. Relly looking forward to next chapter.

Hi! A new story from you! I was totally happy when I saw and read the first chapter last night! And the beginning sounds promising! As always, very well written, but I didn't expect anything else from you! ;-) Oh dear, I'm curious to see how Justin fared. Some of the tags you posted scared me a little ... And it was very painful to read how Brian treated Justin, but at that point in qaf it seems to be a very realistic possibility... I like how you pointed out Justin's situation. Fortunately, it didn't happen on the show, so I never really thought about what it would have really meant to Justin if Brian had gone to New York at that point. Would he've gone back home? Would he've gone to Debbie? What happened to Chris Hobbs? At this point, as Brian said, he'd made himself already a real enemy. And I'm curious about Brian. It seems to me as if he'd really grown up a little. Will you publish a chapter on Sunday evening as usual?
A few more words about your last answer. Yes, I almost agree with you on all points ... And Hal Sparks is a little strange to me too. But as you also wrote, it was a nice gesture by him to write and interact so much with the fans. He seems to enjoy attention a lot more than Randy or Gale. And I think I also won't go to the convention for similar reasons that you mentioned. It's totally okay that they get paid for it, but I have a strange feeling about paying them for something they don't feel like doing and which may be annoying for them. I really like Randy and Gale, but I'm in love with Brian and Justin ;-) and for Randy and Gale, that was a job a long time ago. They played those roles and moved on, but for us fans it's so much more. And it's a show, it's fiction, so everything is possible and for me it doesn't matter what Randy thinks about their fictional future..
So, I'm really looking forward to the next chapter! Warmest regards and stay safe!
Author's Response:
Awwww, thank you :)
We will find out what has happened to Justin soon and like you said, the tags don't bode well for him :(
I thought Brian acted really cold towards Justin during that storyline. Not caring at all what would happen to Justin and in this story, I just kind of went with it. You know how much I like the drama before the boys get their happy ending.
We will find out what Justin did after Brian left and where he went and how his life turned out. It definitely changed from what happened on the show, that much I can promise.
Brian has grown up. His time alone in New York has changed him which is why he will seem more mature and aware of his issues in this story than he might have on the show. I just worked with the premise that time alone away from your family and friends will either make you or break you and in Brian's case, it made him grow up!
Yes, chapters will be posted regularly on Sundays and the whole story is finished already!
Thanks for your comment. I really appreciate it :)

This is a much smarter Brian. I'm not use to a caring Mikey though. You done good.
Author's Response:
Yes, his time alone in New York has made Brian grow up a bit.
Caring Mikey is a new one for me as well *lol* Usually, I am very anti-Michael, but I thought for once Brian deserved a real, caring best friend in one of my stories...
Thanks! More will be up soon!

Hoping you will do a second chapter.
Author's Response:
Oh definitely. Like with all my other stories, the story is already finished and new chapters will be posted once a week. I'll never start posting a story before it's completely finished. I think there is nothing worse than leaving readers waiting for updates on WIPs, so I made a vow to myself a long time ago never to do that. With me there'll be regular updates and the stories will always be finished!
Thanks for your comment. More will be up soon :)
