Oh my goodness, I know I'm only halfway thru with chapter 8 here but please tell me we're going to get the back story as to why Justin wasn't allowed to be in Brian's life after his accident. Was this during the Ian fiasco?

Author's Response:

Hey, Glo, I really don't want to spoil you but yes you will have all the backstory about Justin's absence. One clue, Brian was 31 and Justin was 19 when the accident happened, and this is an alternate canon, with a little tiny changes just to fit the story right. I think you'll get all the answers in coming chapters:)

Happy reading!

Thanks for all the backstory. This explains a little why Brian didn't talk to Em or Ted about the lies Michael was telling him. Poor Brian. TAG

More on with the back story in later chapters ;)

This is a fabulous ending.  Michael and Deb couldn't just accept things, they both had to go and mess things up.  I'm surprised that Carl was able to overlook their manipulations.  I'm so happy to see that Brian and Justin are still friends with Ted and Emmett as well as Ben and Sam.  I've enjoyed this story but even more so this last chapter.  Thank you.

Author's Response:

With Carl, love is blind, I guess;)

Thanks for a happy ending. They should have sue Michael. He is always given va pass.

Author's Response:

I kind of like the idea of karma, what goes around comes back around. It's more painful to see the people you tried to destroy living a happy and successful life with someone. That's the worse punishment, I think. And Brian would have agreed with me;)

Thanks!

Brava!!!

I liked the inverted story telling.  I think Brian and Justin deserved the happy ending they received.  Lindsay got off easy, but I understand that Gus needs his mom, and she did choose Mel finally. As for Deb again a slight pass for grief and being a mom, but I think playing fast and loose with facts is her trait.

Mikey Mikey, Mikey - he got what he deserved.  When it came down to it and he stole Justin's money, and lied about having other money it ruined the defense of "Oh but I love you".  This Mikey was the perfect monster.

Thanks for this roller coaster love story, I trully enjoyed it.

I don't even know where to start. I'm honestly not sure that my mere words could sum up all that this wonderful fic encompassed. It was a daily joy to await a new chapter and it never once disappointed. Incredibly long and emotional chapters. I LOVE long chapters btw.

B&J get the ending they so well deserve. Brian has come a longway. What a journey it was for him. Leaving so much of his old self behind and embracing the man he was destined to be. Becoming the man he so wanted to become. Acknowledging the challenges that may or may not lay ahead of him and Justin just shows his maturity and his depth of feelings for Justin. He took a look at all he once was and who he had bcome in teh past couple of years and made the decision as to who he wanted to be to make him a better made, husband and father.

I have to say, I was impressed with Lindsey's honesty. She faced him head on and cam clean with everything from teh time they met forward. That too a lot of guts. While Brian was initially angered by her levels of deceipt, he chose to move forward from it, mind you with a touch of leeriness. They seemed to have developed a much healthier realtionship over time. she's put Mel, Gus and Jenny as her prioroties adn seems to be reaping the benefits.

While I expected most of the behavior from Michael, admittedly a few of his actions threw me, but whatever. Michael will always be Michael sadly. It was Debbie that disappointed me beyond words. She never fully learned her lesson. blindly running to his defense without any knowledge as to what happened. you'd think after what he did initially, she'd be more apt to question the whys and wherefores, but now....she surmises that someone has done her son wrong. I was actully pretty surprised that Carl even stuck it out considering everything he foudn out. He's much more gracious than I could have ever been.

Ted and Emmett truly tried to be "Switzerland" and be friends with everyone, even once B&J compoletely cut ties, but the vitriol that continued to spew from Michael's mouth must've just shake their heads.

Again.....no words. I'm ready to put it onto my Kindle now and am looking forward to the weekend where I can curl up in my comfy chair, relax and read it all together. I know it's going to be one that I keep going back to and re-reading.

Thank you so very much for sharing this treasure with us.

Cheers,

Elaine

Not surprised by the way Michael and Debbie have acted towards Brian and Justin they are just two selfish people who look like grown ups, but are actually the same exact age and feel that everyone should bow down to them and what they.

Who cares who they hurt just as long as they get what they want even finding out everything Michael did to the girls, Justin and how he barely supports his daughter but still she sees Michael as an Angel.

Brian and Justin shoving them both off the cliff and deciding that their happiness is more important than dealing with the constant whining.

Lindsay admitting the truth was a step in the right direction she is owning up to her mistakes and letting Brian set the parameters for their friendship, while she devotes her time to being a good wife and mother to her family.

I doubt Deb is going to be married for very long Carl is only going to take so much of the Deb and Mikey Show before he walks out the door for good.

Brian is finally living the life he wants on his terms with the love of his life and he happy.

A wonderful ending to the story of Brian and Justin that I will enjoy reading over and over again :)

Author's Response:

I think, Deb was a good person, she just got too blinded when it comes to her son and she always acted without thinking. She also spoiled Michael a lot and that was a major factor on how Michael grow as a man-- or didn't grow, for that matter:)

Thanks!

LOVED LOVED LOVED this story!!!!

sad that Michael and especially Debbie just never learn... I expect it from Michael, but shame on Debbie for just jumping to defend Michael after what he had already done and just assuming he wouldn't lie... cause he's so known to tell the truth at this point, right? ugh

So happy that Brian, Justin, Ben, the girls and kids (and I think Emmett and Ted) all stayed happy... even if E and T were only there a bit, the only ones who had to be cut off were Michael and Debbie.

I loved this story so much, I was hanging everyday for the next chapter!!!!   more please lol

Author's Response:

I think Debbie gets irrational when it comes to Michael. That's how Michael grows up into thinking it's okay to do whatever he wants because he always gets a pass from his mother since the time he could remember. I strongly believed, that developing a child comes majorly from the house.

Thank you so much!

I can't believe Brian's memory has returned.  I do hope the old Brian keeps some of the new Brian's attributes.

Can't wait to see how this all ends.

I have so may thoughts and emotions going through my head. Last chapter...just wow. Lindsey and her contined efforts was unbelievable. I felt sick at the lengths she was willing to go to hook Brian in. Her efforts to get pregnant. Her use of Gus. Her tactics towards Justin. Everything. she's absolutely repugnant. While she may have "realized" what she may lose with Mel. she may have suddenly "woken up"...I relaly not sure about her. If it's a real wake up call or not. she may have finally realized she'll never "have" Brian, but that may not mean she can't have anything else she wants. Money, influence etc. will her attempts finally end and will she finally let him go or will she just keep using him? I hope for gus's sake as well as Mel's, that she really does turn over a new leaf.

this chapter...nice back story with Justin and everything he was going through. It gives me a much better understanding and allows for a bit more leeway for him. I don't think it entirely excuses not saying anything to Brian, but if Brian forgives him, who am I to say anything.

All the truths seem to have come out now, thank goodness Ben was there or it may not have happened, at least not yet. I can't believe that Michael is still trying to keep some kidn of control! That Deb is still trying to manipulate people as well. It's just so unbeliebably disgusting! I'm really looking forward to their demise. I can't see there bing any forgiveness, at least not in the immediate future. The entire gang is going to fidn out the exact truth. That Deb tried to manipulate Brian into "getting back with Michael". Even if she feels bad for doing it, she's not trying to make any amends. She's still defending Michael to the others. I can honestly say I'm not sure who is worse. Michael or Deb.

fianlly Justin is telling the whole story. From teh truepersepctive and not michael's. I kind of got a clue that Brian's memory was coming back when Chris Hobb's was mentioned. Brian flinched. Then when he had to cover his face...that was when it all came back to him finally.Needless to say..that last little bit of teh chapter. absolute total and completel blubbering mess. Soooooooooo lovely! *happy sighs*

I'm so looking forward to the next chapter, yet in a way am dreading it. this has been an incredible journey you've taken us on. I can't wait to save it to my kindle so I can read it in it's entirety again.

Cheers, adn once again, thank you for sharingthis with us.

Brian and Justin got me all teary-eyed I am so happy that he has remembered and that it was Justin who helped him to remember.

Of course not everyone will be so happy to hear that Brian has recovered his memories, Michael and Debbie are about to feel the wrath of Brian Kinney and it is not going to be pretty, I also hope Brian puts Lindsay and Mel in their place too, especially concerning Gus and the money Brian pays in support.

Not ready for this to end but I can't wait to read the next chapter :)

YES!!!!!! Brian remembers everything! Like I thought, Justin's story was the key to unlock Brian's memories. Some heads (and asses) are about to roll now!

I didn't review last chapter so I think I'd better do that now.... That desperate, dirty, deranged Doxy!!!!! She's been trying since college to trap Brian and now with Brian's amnesia, all of her carefully laid plans are back to square one. Good for her needy manipulative ass!! I hope she never regains her 'position' especially knowing that her manipulations of Justin behind the scenes are what cemented Brian and Justin's break up. What a GUTTERSNIPE!!! God I really want Brian to kick that bitch out of his life permanently. I know that there is only so much he can do considering Gus lives with her BUT I think he really needs to take her to court. Mel needs to give him back his rights even as she needs to take Michael's away after this new stunt. Lindsay really shouldn't be allowed to keep her hold on Brian using Gus. The bitch needs a life!

Speaking of which... YES!!!! All of the truth of Michael's machinations have come to the forefront...well all except ONE. Michael needs to be exposed regarding that accidentally-on-purpose overdose in his efforts to trap Brian to his side. But I am so glad that Ben arrived there! He had an answer for every single thing Deb and Michael tried to dispute. Once again, Justin is showing great restraint in not punching Michael in his mealy-mouth. I'm glad that Michael's been exposed for the lying sack of shit talking that he is and Emmett and Ted were able to fill in the blanks for Mel and that she-wolf Lindsay. 'Justin you don't have to be so smug in your position in Brian's life...' INDEED! Have several seats Lindsay and a dose of Shut the Hell Up!

I'm going to be so sad to see the end of this but so HAPPY to have the next chapter. This is truly an amazing story!!

HUGS,

~Nichelle

So we learn Justin's side of things.  I don't blame Brian for getting hysterical when he woke and Mikey was there.  Michael needs to get a grip.  The doctor was a great help in deciding who Brian needed and it was Justin.  So Brian remembers the same things he did two years ago and now knows the truth about everything or does he remember it all?

It was Brian who chose Justin to clear the cobwebs. And yes, Brian remembers everything:)

The ending of the chapter made me tear up.  It was difficult, sweet, and so sad -- Brian and Justin never had it really easy.  But, I'm glad he remembered while holding his Justin.

As for the hospital scene, I wanted Justin to put the dingbat out.  His kindness kept him from getting street, lol.  But Mikey always hangs himself doesn't he?  What a terrible thing to do.  When Justin told it I cheered.  Punishment ideas: I'm not a fan of the electric chair so perhaps he can get the guillotine? He never uses his head anyway, lol.

Nice story, I'm sad to see it end.

Author's Response:

Haha that's kind of brutal, but I think Brian would want the punishment to be as simple as Michael witnessing him and Justin making a life together, a very great and successful life together. I think that's more painful to watch and lived by knowing the one you were obsessed with was living in merriment with his husband, something you could never have. That's a worse punishment than beheading him:)

Thanks!

I've been alternating reading this excellent story on three sites so my reviews are all over the place.  Anyway, gives us a back story for Lindsay but I've always felt that Gus was her way to keep Brian in her life.  Brian is not sorry he has Gus but I do believe he is sorry that Lindsay is his mom.  It would be interesting to see a story where Gus was not LIndsay's.  Anyway, I digress.  Glad LIndsay is realizing she can't have Brian but I hope she improves her relationship with him as he will be around for a long time since he is Gus's dad.

Yeah, I would like her to get her act together, Brian doesn't need to lose another friend.
