Thank goodness emmett let Michael have it as well. They all need to realize that their partners need to come before Michael. That if they have any hope at all of fixign their relationships, they need to prioritize their lives. Michael's priority is obvious. Due to Emmett's and Brian's treatment of michael, they just may be seeing the truth of things right now. Perhaps the blinders or, if not off, at least coming off. Ted...I of course hopeful. I just think the road tht he and blake have to take will be a bit more difficult. He seems to want the easy way out in a way. that's why he just caves to Michael. (why they all do)
Mel's openness to Emmett is a good thing. She's using all she's gleaned from her and Lindsey to hopefully help her family.
Have to say, major pins and needles as we await the next updates. Have said it before, but I know this is going to be an anxiety inducing story. Your gift and talent is astounding!!!

I was almost ready to hear Brian yelling when the buzzer started for the first time, when it was Justin almost coming "home".
I loved the whole thing, but this was my favorite: "As soon as I get used to one sensation, he either changes direction or concentrates on another area altogether. It’s something he’s always done, but it’s no less effective no matter how many time we’ve fucked. It also involves a liberty I’ve never granted anyone else with my body."

Freakign out for Ted now. He simply can't go back to that! He needs to find a balance in his life. too many extremes. No idea what the answer is for them, but hopefully the sessions will really give him the help he so desparately needs.
Once again, Michael rears his ugly head into the midst of their relatioship, causing ted to question himself as well as his realtionship.

thankfully Brian FINALLY told him to get out! Should've been doen a looooong time ago. He's realizing the threat theat Michael is to his realtionship.
Hopefully, as Michael said, his deleting the messages from their partners will get out during the sessions. Sooner than later preferably.

In so many of your stories, I naturally dislike Michael. That's a given. I can honestly say though that in this one, I think I truly dispise him! Really hate him! I bitch slap was needed so long ago. almost pointless now. As you portrayed Alex's thoughts, what is teh hold that Michael has over Brian Ted and Emmett? Why are they blind to his machinations? I have a lump in my throat reading this. I KNOW you are a "B&J end up together" writer, and am going to be waiting on baited breath for every update, I think I'm going to go through such an incredible plethora of emotions reading this. I this particular chapter, I'm truly scared for what is going to happen between our boys. I hate seeing them so hurt...
I hope that time on the island will help. That alex is really able to keep Michael and his negative influence away from teh others, and if not, I pray that Ted, Emmett, and Brian finally see how much damage Michael is and has been doing to their relationships.
Kriky you are so amazing at bringing out the emotions of not only the characters, but also the reader!

Nope you didn't miss anything Phyllis. Gus and Jenny aren't in this. Gus passed when he was born which sort of caused Lindsay to become baby-driven. She's now married to a man but is still unable to carry a baby to full-term, despite numerous efforts. It's the one thing she feels is missing from her life. Mel, at first, was angry and heartbroken but in the end, decided to let Lindsay be happy, even if it wasn't with her. She could no longer play second fiddle whether it was intentional or not. So she moved back to the Pitts, became a judge and now is trying to save the couples from her mistakes with Lindsay.

I feel so sorry for Ben... he's right they were a slow burn, but in more than one way... when Michael becomes Mikey the sidekick, it was a slow burn for Ben to finally see what was really going on around him... I'm appreciative that he is at least seeing things for what they are...
I don't like seeing people split up, but I just don't (and probably never will) see them as compatible.

Michael is up to something. He at the very least did something, manipulated the boys somehow that there are serious repercussions. that none could get through to their partners. Michael pickign up the phone, Not sure what he's done, but I don't see him being innocent in any way. He's "devising a plan", but how far wil he go?
Good that Drew and Blake have the opportunity to talk. vent their frustrations. I wonder if they will come to any conclusions during this week away?
I also hope things go ok for blake's visit. that not too much happens to further his own pain.
I forgot to ask before, what happened that the whole gang ended up in this situation before the court and Mel, with the counselling? Who did what? What of who instigated it all. Definitely an wondering about that!!

I think I'm a bit more terrified for Ted and blake than the others. They are right on the cusp of going back to using again. something seriously needs to happen with these 2 to not have that happen!!! they've both worked way too hard to start up again.
I'm quite suprised that Ted isn't supporting Blake. Pretty disappointed really. I mean Blake's losing his grandfather, 1 of only 2 in his family that still supports him, and Ted goes away for the weekend with Michael instead. Disappointed that he stuck up for Michael and not Blake.
I understand blake needing to get away. Not just to see his grandfather, but to get in a better headspace. Out of them all, I think Ted and blake seem to be in the least healthy place which is very worrisome. thank goodness he has Drew and Justin there makign arrangments and helping. Ben too. they all are in a similar place so know they can support one another.

Ben, blake, Justin and Drew are all fighting against a history that Michael won't let go of, nor does he seem to allow the others to let go if it.
Not sure if Ben is fighting a losign battle or not. Michael is claiming boredom? Seriously? So in his bored selfish state, he doesn't see what he's inevitably doing to the other couples? Don't get me wrong, the others have to take responsiblity too for coddling Michael, but Michael is defintely the instigator.
the back story on Lindsey and Mel is also interesting. Impressive that she's ajudge now, back in the Pitts. Glad she's wanting the couples to work things out, or at least see if they can.
Ben seems to see their marriage at an end. Not sure if the effort is worth it. I doubt Michael is even aware that Ben is thinking this way. He's his typical self that all things Michael and Ben "are just fine". What will his reaction be if Ben actually walks? (besides run to Brian, Ted and Emmett that is) Would he try to fight for Ben or would hetry to encourage or manipulate the others to split from their partners as well?
So many things could happen!

What does Alex have up his sleeve for them to meet at the Penn? He knows the history there, so I can only assume it's all part and parcel of the counselling they need. Hopefully Justin sobers up enough to not say shit he doesn't mean, or at least say it in ways that would produce the most harm.
Curious as to what Emmett meant in his message. What is it that justin doesn't know, and why doesn't he know ? Why is it being kept from him?
