I feel so bad for Justin here. His mother is letting his father get away with what he is doing and Justin is the one suffering for it. And thank goodness Brian is his neighbor. He sure went above and beyond to help Justin out; to feel a little better with every interaction. Like you said, here's to better times....

Author's Response:

I wrote this one when I was feeling sad too - it was cathartic getting it out and empathizing with Justin here. Wish I'd had a Brian to share his pain killer with me... Thanks for reading. TAG

So good, and just maybe they both have a wee bit of hope now - hope that things can be, and will be, better.

Wow, intense but amazing... I know you already have a lot on your writing plate, but I would absolutely love to have this story continued!

This story made me smile and experience heartache at the same time. I cheered for Brian. I wept with Justin.

I thought this was so evocative of the pain of Brian's upbringing and Justin's rejection by his father. It also made think of the PTSD they both suffered in the show.

Brian's cleverness with the sticky notes was a big hit with me. :)

I love the hopeful, sweetly romantic ending. <3

Hiya Tags,

*snif*

Yep, you mad me cry! Seriously cry!

20 years ago I was Justin. Contemplating suicide and seeing not a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Then someone reappeared in my life and literally saved me. I'll forever be grateful for her presence in my life.

So yeah, this story hit home hard, really, really hard.

And it may be way off from your usual style but I dare say, this is a masterpiece. It really tugged at my heart. Justins despair is so palpable, Brians concern so heartwarming.

Thank you for writing this heartbraker and making me feel thankfull for everyone and everything that is now part of my happy life.

XOXO

Soirsa

I really enjoyed your approach to this story, with an obsessed Michael invading Brian and Justin's privacy.

Very clever the way Brian and Justin dealt with the problem, too. I always like it when those two men present a united front.

I liked the way the family backed up Brian (and Justin) for a change, not making him the fall guy for Michael. For once excusing everything he does as 'helping his best friend' didn't work for Mikey.

Maybe if Michael gets help he can get over his dependency on Brian. One can always hope, LOL

I have so many emotions running through me right now. I just wanted to jump into the story and cuddle Justin. To make him see that everything is okay. And then Brian being adorable with the sticky notes and texting, that was perfect/ I know you said the end, but I wish it wasn't LOL. I want to know that Brian stops the tears forever, that he gets to go to the college of his dreams... AHHHH TAG, :)

Wonderful story because it shows that Brian and Justin are much much more than fuck buddies, and sad at the same time because it's never easy to let go a long time friend.

Michael has done so many wrongs in the name of "it's for my best friend". Maybe, he will "see the light" after this huge mistake. One can hope...

Somehow I don't see Michael as learning anything.. he tends to never learn!

Hiya,

First of all: Great story.

Just after I started reading I got angry at Michael and as I went on reading I got really upset about the way he was intruding in Brian and Justins life.

At the end of the story I nearly peeed myself with laughter at Michaels ludicrous excuses. The stupidity of that child in a mans body. The utter lack of empathy. All the world has to revolve around poor little Mikey. He sure got his come uppance,

Thank you for a story that had me going through a range of emotions. A very nice way to end an evening.

XOXO

Soirsa

What a wonderful story.  I can't get over the nerve of Michael.  Maybe if Emmett explained it in words of one sylable he might get it.  I'm not sure if Ben can forgive him, especially if he refuses to admit he did something wrong.

Thank you.  I'm so glad you enjoyed it.  Unbelievable to me that Michael STILL doesn't get it
