Alex being the focus of this chapter is a good thing it shows as the outsider he saw through Debra, Michael, Lindsay and Mel for the cruel heartless people they really are.
The court cases were interesting because it should the lengths they were willing to go to win and keep Brian focused on them.
Loved when Mel made an idiot of herself and showed her true colors, I do wonder how everyone on Liberty Avenue felt after they heard?
How did Melanie's law firm feel about her testimony?
And what did Mommy and Daddy do when they heard?
Justin and Lily may be the healing balm this family needs to grow stronger and move on.

So happy Alex felt he had to stay with Brian and Ted for their therapy.
This new family is like a rebirth for all of them, but I feel that the road is going to be bumpy; the old family won't let them go this easily.

Having Alex give the history was a good choice. The exposition versus the scenes keeps the focus on the happier part of the story. A very sad chapter ended with a hopeful thought, very nice authoress! im just worried about the showdown, but not really. We will win, I would rather miss the pain. The Pitts crew is the pits.

My heart continues to break for Gus. He has been through so much in his short life. I do hope his new family will help him to understand that he is safe and can relax some.
