WOW!!!!! Deb has finally opened her eyes and she sees that Michael is no wilting flower he is a bulldozer willing to mow down anyone who doesn't do what he wants and gets in his way, she is finally ready to snip the apron strings and let Michael fly or fall in his own.

Deb should get her locks changed and disconnect the bell maybe a nice stay somewhere else would be nice she isn't running away just avoiding high decibel levels.

Michael got ten thousand and with Lindsay it won't be worth a dime.

Will Michael be smart and disappear with that money?

Hell No!!

Well done! I could imagine Debbie boiling on the other end of the phone and slamming the poor phone on the wall afterwards.

As we are the 31th, I wish you a very Happy New Year!

I was so very happy to see this updated, and especially with such a nice, long chapter. I've been wondering where Michael would head to with his garbage bags and Captain cutout. I'm still wondering what happened to all the other garbage bags Ben put outside, though.

I could have hugged Brian when he warned Michael against finishing that sentence about Justin. It would have been awful for Justin, Jennifer and Debbie to have heard that come out of his mouth. Or does anyone in your story know yet what Michael actually said that day of the party? But as happy as I was about that, I have to wonder why Brian sat quietly by when Michael kept throwing the derogatory names Justin's way. Brian should have spoken up and told Michael if he couldn't respect his husband, he could leave right now, and the deal is off the table. I know I never could have put up with someone calling my husband those names in my presence.

I relished every single word out of Debbie's mouth to Michael. Thank you for that. It was long overcoming.

I'm hoping in the next chapter, we get more confrontations with Lindsay, and see how she is faring.

Author's Response:

Hey Cathy,

Sorry I'm just answering this now. As you would imagine, I've been writing my fingers off when I finally get a small break in my Mom-induced schedule. NOT FUN! Well at least not the 'Mom, can I have', Mom, can you take me...,' and 'Mom, can you do,' parts! It's especially busy this year because of all the 'Senior' activities for my youngest son...SMH Whereas I'm already feeling a bit nostalgic that this is the final leg of the school-aged journey, I still can't wait for the Go-Go-GO portion of it to be over.

Anyway, to answer your question about why Brian didn't say anything while Michael was hurling insult-after-insult to Justin, it's because Justin asked him to let him handle it, and not buy into Michael's usual arsenal of diversionary tactics. As predicted, Michael tried every single trick in the heretofore tried and true methods of getting Brian to respond the way he wanted to. When wheedling and whining didn't work, Michael resorted to attempting to use their shared past as a way to connect them. And then when that didn't garner the 'appropriate' response by Michael's expectations, he threatened and reminded Brian of what Jack used to do to him. Talk about a superhero complex! So all in all, Justin forewarning Brian of what he'd seen Michael do time and again, prepared him for Michael's assault which ultimately didn't the power it would have before. Basically, Brian and Justin changed the playbook, and Michael nor Lindsay are ready for the new rules!

HAPPY READING and HUGS,

~Nichelle

How Michael thought Brian would let him move in is beyond me.  Once he hears from Ben's lawyer he's going to find himself short of money.  LOL.
