Hi! I swore to myself never to read unfinished stories again but a friend recommented your story to me several times. So I started to read... And what can I say... You got me so hooked up! It's very well written and the storyline with Ethan being in a relationship and Justin "only" found himself some friends "his age" is something I never read so far. An incredible good idea! And I have to admit, I already read till chapter 6. After reading the first chapter, there were so many questions in my mind, that are already answered! But again, an amazing story, and an heartbreaking first chapter!

Hi Kerri, Waaaay too long for this update but welcome nonetheless! I hate suspense and have never read a fic before while it was in the process of being written, having always wanted to be able to read the whole thing in one go. But I have been gripped by this from day one so I am unable to wait like I usually do! I love the way you seamlessly brought Brian and Justin together in this scene...it’s also great to see Justin so strong and yet so vulnerable at the same time. As though his abject desperation has allowed him a freedom of expression with Brian that he never had before. When we are brought to rock bottom only the truth is worth anything. It’s when you have nothing else left..

I agree completely, but unfortunately for Justin, he hasn't hit rock bottom yet. That's still coming. ;)

I'm really glad that you took a chance on a WIP - I will update each week, generally, on the Friday/Saturday; so fingers crossed, short of some sort of hellfire/brimstone kinda scenario, there shouldn't be any long delays between chapters. I've got a rock-solid idea of where this is going, and my beta is brilliant to work with. She's in the middle of a major change in her life atm, so I'm working around her, as she gets things sorted.

Sorry I haven't stopped before to let you know that this story has touched me a great deal. I have captured so many points in dealing with ptsd  that it makes it so easy to feel Justin pain and then you have us feeling Brian 'so grief as well.

What a punch in the guts!

Justin was a very strong person before the bashing, but it's another story after it.

Brian was very attentive until Justin partially recovered and the gang started to highlight how Brian was behaving; he then started to go back to his old habits and Justin was on the front row.

Fortunately, Justin is not alone and has strong support; will he accept it and try to move on?

It was like, "Oh, he can go outside and I can fuck him now, so he's all fixed!"

Uhhh...no... not all fixed, lol. I'm glad the emotion of this chapter got to you - I was told that wasn't easy to do so because it is literally just recorded words, but I'm glad that it did give you the response that you had.

Now this is interesting.  So Ethan is just a friend helping a friend?  And Emmett is doing his best to get Brian to see the damage he's done?  Now the person who told Brian that Justin was with Ethan, could that possibly be Michael?  I really want to see where this goes.
