I loved this chapter.  It was exactly how Brian would have reacted.  Thankfully Auntie Em to the rescue.  He deserves more than just a big, fat Cosmo. lol  I hope Drew is "up" to the task. ;)

Thanks for the update.

Author's Response:

I'm sure that Drew was more than happy to fulfil his 'duties.' LOL! Thanks for reading! :)

Thank goodness the boys have Em to kick Brians ass. Poor Sunshine sitting and worrying. The kids will help him. Thanks for the update always look forward to them...love this story

Author's Response:

To be fair to poor Brian, he is justified in his anger and hurt. Justin really should have come clean a long time ago. And while I understand his need to divorce himself from the situation before it grew out of hand, I really don't approve of him driving off that way, potentially endangering himself and others and worrying everyone that he left behind. But he's human, and as humans, we don't always think the reprecussions through; he wass reacting instead of acting. And with as angry and hurt as he was feeling, it's good that all he did was drive off and go to the clunb to put some space between himself and the situation. Thanks for reading! :)

Brian you are doing the same thing to Justin that he did for you, protection works both ways in a relationship, both were wrong and both were right because they love each too much to see the other hurt.

But Brian driving off in a rage was wrong cause what if the stalker and Blaine were watching?

Brian is taking his anger and fear out on Justin and that isn't fair to either one of them.

Emmett is the best friend Brian should've had when he was fourteen, maybe then he wouldn't have met Michael or Lindsay, they just took and took and took to the point where they thought they owned the rights to Brian exclusively.

Brian leaving angry almost played into Lindsay's hands cause what if he tried to confront her, attacked her and she would have had him arrested and terminated his rights to Gus, plus got more money out of Brian for thirty minutes to see his son.

Brian and Justin always have obstacles but they are Champions at overcoming them and being stronger for it. :)

Author's Response:

Brian really should have stuck around; not only because of the stalker issue, but it's dangerous to be driving when you're that mad. Most accidents happen due to driver distraction or negligence; and Brian speeding away while he was still angry and not really focused on the job at hand could have had serious reprecussions for himself, as well as others. You should never drive when you're overly emotional.

And he shouldn't have taken that fear and anger out on Justin, but we're human, and often, when we get angry, we strike out at the easiest target whether it was justified or not. Which is why he walked away before it could get too bad.

God, if only Brian had had someone other than Michael as a friend. Their friendship is toxic in so many ways. I wish Emmett and Brian could have grown up together, rather than Mikey and Brian. Hmmmm...the muse really likes that idea. I wonder if I can work it into any of the ideas I have simmering on the back burner. I'll have to see if it would work out.

And yes, while he never intended to track down Lindsay, as he was afraid of whay he might do, if he had run into her, it could have been bad. As for Brian and Justin, they will work things out. They always do. Thanks for reading! :)

This shows that underneath the Southern Queen lies a steel determination for justice.

Now hopefully Brian can calm down his hormonal hubby.

Author's Response:

I so love Emmett; he has titanium balls and isn't afraid to show it. :) And things might still be bumpy for the boys for a couple of installments yet. But as always, they'll work it out. Thanks for reading! :)

I actually liked this. Shows that they are a couple like any other. they fight, but will make up and it will make themstronger in the end.

Kudos! Well done I say.

I can't WAIT for the repercussions though of Lindsey. I know I mentioned wouldn't it be great if Brian heard it, but man alive, you made it SO much better with everyone hearing it. that was epic.

Cheers,

Elaine

Author's Response:

They really are; and like any couple, or human being on an individual basis, they make mistakes and they do things that they think are right out of a place of love, but have consequences at a later date. They'll work it out eventually. As for Lindsay, she'll get her just dues. Life is going to be very uncomfortable for her very soon. Thanks for reading! :)

Amazing chapter, once more! This is the logical behaviour expected from Brian, even after all these years; the cut was too deep for him to react a better way.

Kudos to Emmett who is resourceful on so many levels and who dares facing Brian and pushing him until he sees the bigger picture and the potential risks (early labor and stalker).

When they talked about bruises, I thought that Emmett might have done his part, but I never imagined that he would have let Sap in such bad shape, permanently.

Author's Response:

I had this reaction planned from the very beginning of when I did the outline for this arc. I love Brian, and he has grown and matured so much over the years in the verse, but some ingrained habits are hard to kick, and I just didn't see him reacting any other way. Plus, that he walked away when at one time he would have continued until they said things that they couldnt take back shows a restraint and maturity that he didn't have before.

Ah, and Emmett. I love me a good, strong Emmett who isn't afraid to get into Brian's face and call him on his behavior; and while I don't personally agree with everything that he said to Brian because it made it sound like Brian didn't have a right to be angry and upset with Justin, he did make some good points that Brian needed to listen to and consider. And as I said in another response; I've always thought there was more to Emmett that meets the eye. Good on him for giving Sap what he so richly deserved! ;) Thanks for reading! :)

This is exactly why Emmett is my favorite. He is the best friend a person can have. He always has both of their backs. He is one of the few people who can be brutally honest with both of them, and they know it's genuine and out of love.

Author's Response:

Emmett has always been one of my favorite characters and I have always thought that there was more to him that met the eye. And he definitely loves them both and will take care of them the best way he knows how. Thanks for reading! :)

Not going to kill you.  You are writing this the way that life happens.  No one lives without difficulty in their life and Brian & Justin just have a little more than most, but that is what makes the story so good.  I know you will "fix" things at the right time.  Plus, we know how they like to "make up" after a fight !!!! Ha Ha Great job.

Author's Response:

They d seem to attract trouble don't they; some of which they spawn themselves because they are always trying to protect the other. And yes, they will make up eventually. Things are a liitle bumpy right now, but they always come back to each other stronger and better for it. Thanks for reading! :)

All I can say is why am I not surprised....smh Justin is understood, but Brian is being unreasonable because his husband didn’t trust him. I can’t wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Well, Emmett does think of Justin as a younger sibling; he is naturally going to want to protect him, even if Brian is equally justified in his reactions. Don't worry, I have plans, and Justin will not get away with his own talking to. Thanks for reading! :)

I love how Emmett is there to take care of both men in his own way.

Author's Response:

And he does take care of them both. :) Thanks for reading! :)

NNow I see why I sometimes think Em isz the smartest one in the gang. What would they do without him?

At first when Sap's bruised ribs were mentioned, Brian being surprised by that bit of news, i thought maybe Justin's was being stalked a lot longer than anyone thought. So glad Em cleared that up.

Author's Response:

I doubt that they'd survive without him; although, I do want to point out that while Emmett's point is valid, it's not the only point that needs to be made. It's still going to be a bumpy ride yet. Thanks for reading! :)
