If Brian had brought Lindsay to that meeting he would've been too busy fixing her faux pas and trying to stop her from taking over the conversation, acting like she understands advertising, whil flicking her hair, disregarding Jelly who is smarter and flirting with Harry outrageously.
With Michael it would've been cringing at him opening his mouth, eating, holding his fork, his comic book t-shirts, his ignorance at everything and whining about how he really wanted to go to a comic book store.

Lindsay is so desperate to figure out a way to get Brian that she is refusing to see that she never stood a chance.
Brian could never love someone so weak and lazy like Michael and Lindsay they need to do everything and expects everyone to worship them because they associate with Brian.
To people like that were made for The Friend Zone and can never move out of it.
So going to Cynthia was a waste and that is what Lindsay is a waste of time.
Brian and Justin having a baby is good they are not letting others dictate their lives or happiness.

Brian will not suffer the consequential cause he has better things to do.
No harm in having more back-up when delusional comes to town.
Lindsay is desperate to be the center of someone's universe and she really can't stand being ignored by anyone.
She could be dangerous so Brian will have to play this carefully.
Ted is a good friend for Brian cause he only wants Brian to be happy.
Michael is lost in his own delusions and until he is ready to admit that Brian never loved him past friend then he will remain there. :)

Lindsay demands what Justin earned simply by being himself and not letting anyone dictate how his life should be.
And that is what Lindsay loathes she wants everyone to love and show her untold respect but who can respect her when she doesn't respect herself?
Being sneaky and underhanded while neglecting a baby who doesn't play by your rules is no way to get someone to love you, it only makes you despise and loathe the person who did it.
Brian admitting that he loves Justin shows Lindsay that no matter what she does next Brian will never love, want or desire her and that what little friendship they did have died the second she betrayed his trust.
Lindsay coming to Chicago means she is desperate to regain whatever power she has, does that mean Mommy and Daddy cut off the money supply or are they getting ready to?
And have all her other resources dried up aswell??
