Deb seems to be trying, but not enough. That invisible umbilical cord is going to wrap itself around her and choke all the life out of her before she starts to even begin to try getting on with a new life. Fucking Mikey alwsys at the ready to spoil it for someone else. Maybe when she sees the doctored wills, which I don't doubt they are, she'll finally be able to see him for the weasle he truly is and that cord will be cut.

Harry was given a lot to handle and think about. I'm positive there won't be a repeat of the injustice of Justin's bashing trial. Michael and cohorts are seeing plenty of jail time and they'll or at least Michael will be going in broke.

I love waking up and reading these early in the morning.

Mel on Brian and Justin's side is something I really do enjoy.  Who knew?

Of course Debbie is a zillion steps backwards sometimes.  Heck, she can't change overnight.  She's had years of reacting the old way.  People can change, but it takes time and effort.

Thanks

Will Deb change and not run to save Michael? We will see for the moment I am like Emmett I will have a hard time forgiving her it is necessary that she does a little more by that for the moment it has not changed too much. Vic is right about forgiving for oneself but it's too early. Lance must pay for all his help to Michael I agree with what Brian and Justin want. I hope the AD is honest. Great chapter, waiting for the next.

Great chapter.  Wow you gave Vic such wise words.  Things are finally moving forward to hang the idiot.  Great writing.

Thank you for your response. I believe I better understand your point of view. I still don't agree, but I appreciate it none the less. I know many people will consider me a horrible person, but it is just how I personally feel. My views on this is so strong that that reading everything up to the Mel and Harry part, I literally felt nauseous. I've never disliked Vic more than I did in this chapter. Anyway I really love your stories, sometimes I just get a little too into them. Thanks again for your response.

Deb seemed on the right way until the call; I'm surprised by the call: didn't Carl and Deb date at that time?

Emmett and Vic's scene was enlightening.

Ok, I'm going to start off by saying I love all your stories, so please don't take this the wrong way. But WTF, I know I'm must be a horrible person, but why why must they forgive Debbie. What she willingly did to Brian and Justin for the sake of her horrible son and herself is unforgivable. And what does Emmet and all of the others have to be forgiven for? All they have to forgive themselves for is that they trusted Debbie and Michael to begin with. And also why after Debbie reverted to her true self did Emmett have to apologize to her for walking out? I'm thoroughly confused. But the last section between Mel and Harry was very interesting, I can't wait to hear more about that. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Hey Regina,

Let me just qualify what Vic was saying here about forgiveness. One thing I've learned about the act of forgiveness is that you can forgive a person, but still have nothing major to do with them and their lives. It doesn't mean absolution, which is really the act of freeing a person from blame or guilt. "Forgiveness is for YOU, not them" means just that. It is a choice of whether you choose to grow and learn from the experience, or remain stuck and continue to be hurt by it. And I don't know about you, but I absolutely REFUSE to let someone cause me to dwell on them well past the incident(s).

By not forgiving those who hurt you in life, they keep power over you- both mentally and spiritually. They have an emotional hold over you where if they walk into a room, your mood instantly changes causing a physical reaction often manifested in a frown, snarky comments or displaying 'attitude' as we know it. It takes far more effort to forgive and move on with your life- either with them or without them in it- than it does to stay mad, but it also shows your character as a person. It is intergral in keeping the integrity of the core person you are, or are growing to be. That is why the act of forgiveness is so important. It's so that you can be a whole person, not just a shell of one through the careless and thoughtless actions of others.

Thank you so much for your rant (LOL) and giving me a chance to explain this point of view a bit further.

HAPPY READING AND HUGS,

~Nichelle

Love how Vic talked Emmett down from his hatred or is it disappointment of Deb.  She talks a good talk then falls back into her old ways.  I hope she can turn her life around if she has the chance.  I almost feel sorry for Lance.

Deb will get to the point where she won't feel the need to run to save Michael, but it WT take a lot of time and a week or two just isn't enough.

Vic was right to tell Emmett that he will have to forgive himself then eventually Deb, it is something that will need to be repeated for Brian, Justin, Mel and Ted too.

Lance is about to learn you don't lie to your attorney and you especially don't lie to family, Harry is going to guarantee that Lance doesn't walk away with a slap on the wrist and he faces where His Actions lead to These Consequences.

I was wrong in an earlier review Lance wasn't innocent he was always guilty.

I so hope that D. A.  is honest and looking to put the bad guys away and not punish the innocent??

Michael Kept A Journal of Devious Plans? What A Maroon!!!!

Guess reading comics taught him nothing lol

Author's Response:

LOL, BLUE!!! I was just reading over the feedback for this story, while gearing myself up to finish up the next 'Precinct Blues' installment, which hopefully will be posted tonight. Some key parts are about to be referenced more frequently going forward so, although I remember everything to the smallest detail in my head, I still wanted to be able to pinpoint the chapter where the situation started in this story in case anyone asked as so often happens in the reviews for later chapters. Anyway, I seriously had LAUGH OUT LOUD at the Bugs Bunny reference from one of my very favorite episodes in the Looney Toons 'Great American Chase' movie! Michael's downfall is totally like a cross between watching the ultimate fall of Marvin the Martian at the hands of Bugs, and the whole 'Duck Dodgers and the 24th and a half century' arc, also featuring Marvin the Martian. You know the end result, but you still can't look away from the fuckery.

Thanks for this comment!

HUGS,

~Nichelle
