I've been thinking about this chapter since I left my review, and realized what a stupid reporter Brandon was. Corey had already asked Brandon if Gardner or Kip mentioned Brian's son. Justin told Kip that we do everything in our power to protect our life together.  So, what does stupid Brandon do?  He ignored Corey's question, and the fact that this interview was about Brian and Justin's marriage, and Emmett and Drew's relationship, and went on to ask, How does your son feel about it?  Is he surprised Brian, Justin and Emmett got up and walked off, causing Ted to slam the door in his face?

Howard Bellwether. Should of thought of that creep. Nobody is better suited to write ill-reported news, and is a royal scumbucket, himself. I remember Mel telling Ted that she talked to an editor and told him as long as he reported FACTS they wouldn't get sued. Was that Brandon's editor? Because they weren't aware of who the reporter was who Michael ran his mouth to, Correct? Has Bellwether's actual article came out, yet? That should raise all sorts of problems when that hits the stands. Looking forward to what's going to happen to Bellwether for writing that ill-informed article, and to Michael for regaling him with all his inaccurate bullshit. Will they both be sued? Will the paper Bellwether writes for be sued? Michael is NOT going to know what hit him, by the time Brian, Emmett and Ted get through with him.

So, who confronted Gus at the Kiddie Gym? Gardner or Kip? I'm thinking Kip, because of Gus saying,  He said his Angel made a mistake. That would also fit in to Brandon saying it was it was probably more about Brian than Justin. And what kind of 'Career' was Kip hoping Connor could help him 'get on track'?  And does Gardner have any dealings with Lindsay's family? No wonder Gardner was all in Ted's face wanting to renegotiate their contact, trying to keep a stranglehold on 'Dark Angel' and the 'Xtreme Misfits'. All I can say, is I don't believe their will be any contract negotiations. Gardner's door will be closed on those lucrative contracts. Also, who did Gardner think that giving an exclusive interview to Brandon, would be better than an exclusive with Brian and Emmett? That was really a stupid move on Gardner's part.

Brandon certainly didn't get much news regarding his interview. I loved the 'answer a question, with a question' concept that Justin started out with. And it pretty much summed up the interview when Justin said,  We won't make up things just to make people happy. The public needs to realize that while they may be celebrities, they are still regular people. And Brandon should probably heed the fact that Ted slammed the door in his face, instead of answering the question about, 'Brian's Bodyguard'.

Looking forward to the next chapter. Hopefully we get to hear something about Bellwether and Michael. Has Michael got out of jail yet?

Great chapter.  Love how you used the names of series characters in different roles.  Terrific writing.

Absolutely LOVED the way all the gentlemen handled Brandon! Granted, the man was doing his job, but there are always questions someone, especially s reporter should ask: Why was I given this information; Who does this information benefit; What did the person have to gain by telling me? As a result of being so driven to get the scoop, he opened himself up to be treated as a nuisance, instead of an ally.

As for Gardner and Kip, I think they can kiss Dark Angel and Xtreme Misfits goodbye. In his attempt to powertrip, Gardner still hasn't realized just what and whom he's dealing with when it comes to all of them- manager, agent and musician alike. Hmmm...will they be starting their own company perhaps? That would surely give Gardner a case of the Bubble Guts!

I absolutely loved the way Emmett basically dissed Whiny Wonder and the 'stalker' at the same time. It was masterfully done and a passive-aggressive move worthy of a Southern Belle, LOL

So now, how will they address Bellweather prematurely printing the ill-informed ravings of Whiny Wonder? Should be interesting as all of the pieces keep falling into place.

Looking forward to MORE!

HAPPY WRITING and HUGS,

Not surprised Lindsay would use private information to score points with her family too bad it cost her the Trust and Friendship of Brian and the respect of her wife.

And she risked Gus's safety to gloat about something they all swore to keep private.

Running to assure Brian that it wasn't her won't repair what she Intentionally Broke.

Emmett and Brian were too nice to keep Michael around if he pulled that Crap on me he would've been Gone!!

Emmett is the kind of Friend Michael could never be because Michael wants Fame, but he wants it for being associated with someone Famous, he enjoys the glory of being seen with Brian and he will use that glory to destroy anyone who gets in his way.

Them all getting in front and narrating the story gets the truth out while the gossip rags can go scurrying in the dark for dirt.

Corey is smart enough to see that they need to flush out the stalker to protect Gus and themselves for what this person might due next.

Is it more than one?

Is Michael in some way behind this while trying to stay in the shadows?

He wants to know everything Brian Kinney why not hire someone unstable and cheap?

I bet Lindsay was hurt when she had to sign an NDA while Mel didn't. She didn't think what it could do to Gus.

They are right: shoot first and surprise the readers; that way, they manage the out of their truth and won't have to deal with gossips and they could get a major clue.

Interesting how Mel, Ted and Brian had Lindsay sign an NDA. No wonder she was so quick to reassure Brian that she had nothing to do with the leak. Would she lose her rights to Gus if she did leak something? I wonder how Lindsay felt knowing she ruined her relationship and confidence Brian always had with her? Maybe Lynette was keeping tabs on Brian after discovering who Gus' father was, wanting to discredit him at any given any opportunity, and by doing this, she could one-up her sister. But the main question is, Why A Year Later?

I don't really believe it is a stalker anymore. Because wouldn't a stalker want revenge on the spouse, and not want to broadcast they were off the market? It's funny to think that Mel would want another child with Lindsay, knowing she's the type of person who wants to garner attention for herself, and not above using Gus to get it. Somewhat the same type of person Michael is.

Michael is really a slimy little weasel. How Brian and Emmett kept him on for four years after the shit he was pulling with Brian and Emmett; invading their rooms with fans. And after Michael trashed Emmett's room, I would think it would have been a given that he was fired. You mentioned "the first time" in regards to Ted firing Michael. How many other times were there, before he finally followed through, using the NDA as the reason to fire Michael?

I can hardly wait to see what all the reporter has to say about who their contact person was, and find out why they did it. I like the idea of them being in New York to confront the reporter and give their stories. As I said in an earlier review, giving the press the story will throw a wrench into Michael's plans. It will probably have the same effect of the person who leaked the information in the first place.

I'm still wondering about Gus saying, "He didn't say it to me." Who else is involved in this?

Nice to know Brian has a magical dick. But that has always been a given, has it not?

Loved this update, as it gave us a little more information. Would the detective happen to be Carl?

Very informative chapter! I absolutely LOVED the backstory given about Lindsay and her penchant to just need to have one-up on her sister. I also loved the fact that Mel and Brian weren't blind to her supposed tears of regret, which I'm sure she tried to use to gain sympathy for her blatant attempt at glory-hogging. The truth is that she is basically Whiny Wonder's estrogen-laden alter egoI would say that Lindsay needs a psychotherapist and a priest to exorcise her Michaelness, but the truth is she would probably even drive them crazy with her need to justify her wrongdoings. They would probably have to take a Xanax just seeing her name on their schedule for the day.

I absolutely adore Brian's reasoning for distancing himself from Whiny Wonder, and Emmett's reponse to it. They have such an honest, and pure friendship that it's hard not to be moved by it. I agree with Drew's course of action. He's applying football strategy and logic to combat Whiny Wonder's intended maliciousness. The best offense is to have a strong defense, after all. And bringing their relationship out into the open will chap Whiny Wonder's nonexistent ass so much that not even Vaseline will help calm the sting! Hey Michael, can you and Lindsay spell OBSCURITY?! Poor, poor attention-seeking moronic idiots! Not even having 5 seconds of fame to be considered relevant has gotta hurt!

I think I'm going to like Corey. He's looking at this from every possible angle, even the one where this stalker isn't going about his plans to cause problems in a textbook fashion. I absolutely agreed with him when he said that the stalker being the possible leak would have him thinking it would cause all sorts of issues for Brian and Justin, resulting in them breaking up to keep their privacy. I also believe that Corey's correct in saying that coming out with their story is going to cause the person to unravel. Brian and Justin are endgame material, so yes, it's likely that the stalker will throw a major tantrum when thwarted. Futhermore, it seems this person has a warped sense of their own cleverness, which if truth be told he is just a lowlife to go after information from an unsuspecting five year old. However, I don't think the stalker was counting on just how observant Gus was in hearing the last comment he uttered about how his angel made a mistake. I think involving the detective at this juncture, while seeming a bit premature, is actually the right thing to do. Who knows what else Gus might remember from the encounter...and when.

WOW! StarBaby, you've given me a lot to analyze with this one. Great Job!

HAPPY WRITING and HUGS,

~Nichelle

It's Ethan Isn't It?

Well whoever it is will pay for using a five-year old to get information.

Blake sneaking into town to be with Ted is what he will need to deal with the Crap heading their way.

Having guards watching everyone's back is smart and might force this stalker out of hiding or make a mistake?

I'm trying to trust Lindsay, but well...the jury is still out on that one. At least her story corroborated Mel's somewhat so it could be that she's actually telling the whole truth. The fact that Brian is also suspicious of her would make her want to keep her proverbial nose clean, since it would be easy to lump her in with Whiny Wonder and his brand of friendship. I think it's a good move to not only have everyone guarded, but also to keep watch on who they interact with that's not in the usual camp. An employee of Brian and Emmett's makes sense, but it also doesn't because what could have caused them to betray the NDA, except that there was an advance that went unaddressed, or worst yet, unnoticed? Unless, of course, it's an infatuation with Whiny Wonder, and the fact that Brian chose Justin over his heart's desire...

On the flipside of that theory, somehow I think whomever was asking Gus questions might be more interested in Justin. Which brings up the questions of if Justin had a serious past relationship that went south when he began seeing Brian more regularly? Or some crazed fan perhaps that has noticed the secret meetings of the Kinneys over time? Then again, maybe it is a former conquest of Brian's who Idiot Man may have acquired in pre-Justin days, or maybe even the owner of Babylon itself?

So MANY directions this storyline can take with an array of suspects, and I'm looking forward to every twist and turn!

HAPPY WRITING and HUGS,

I know Brian and Emmett are called, "Dark Angel" and this "guy" at the indoor kids gym, said "his Angel made a mistake", but why do I get a feeling this "guy" was referring to Justin, and not Brian? After all, if this guy was at the kids gym, and that's where Justin was, it makes sense that he was following Justin, and then he asked Gus about Justin. Anyway, what did Gus mean when he said, "He didn't say it to me." Was there another person with this guy? And how close in proximity was this guy to Gus when this guy made that comment? Was he in the tunnel with Gus?

Well, we have a piece of the puzzle. We'll have to wait until you give us more to go on.

Ted threw some serious Shade at Michael who is now out in the cold with no access to Brian or his coattails.

He really hasn't grasped that without Brian no one cares or knows who he is.

So when Michael gets out of jail would he be stupid enough to run to a reporter and say he was fired totally ignoring the NDA?

Who ratted out Brian and Justin??!!!
