I promise I have not abandoned this story, I just got into a bit of writer's block funk and had to take a break. Once I finish co-writing my current story I am going back to it, so do not fear. Alright, finally leaving my review. This last month has been super busy with a funeral, a friend coming to visit from out of state, and a wedding and telling you this in review form slipped my mind but here it is: You did such an awesome job on this chapter and I am so proud of you! You definitely handled Brian's past with sensitivity and I am looking forward to seeing him go on this road to recovery as well because, since we know Brian, we know this was probably easier, in his eyes, to sweep under the rug. I know true justice might not ever be able to be given, due to twenty years passing as well as Brian probably not being able to handle anyone knowing publicly, but if he can come to terms with it and have the support of Justin and his family, then that will hopefully be enough to work.
And the sex scenes were HOT. You know I love bottom, vulnerable Brian. ;) You managed to balance that yet keep Brian pretty much in character. Your version is more ready for this than canon Brian would have been, but I feel that this Brian is more mature and ready for a balanced and trusting relationship. I have to wonder how Brian would have been, both in his preferences and personality, if the assault had never happened, as well as an ubringing by more loving and accepting parents. :(
Anyway, great job! I am honored that I got to help you throughout this chapter! Can't wait to work on the next one!

Thank you so much for your help with this, you have always been a great soundboard to bounce ideas off of, but I hope that I surprised you somewhat with the scene at the end. This was definitely very difficult to write because I didn't want to make Brian come across as weak (even though he wasn't at all) or too vulnerable, yet this scene needed him to emotionally lose it a little. But I hope it stayed as true to character as it could have :)
Definitely now on to the recovery - hopefully :)

So firstly, the sex in this chpt was so very very hot. Ridiculously hot, in fact. Had to get that out there straight away.
I loved all the 80's pop culture references. Major nostalgia.
The description of brian's abuse was beautifully and sensitively done. My heart broke for him.

so much in this chapter...
first of all, where you there when Chris and I had one of our Goonies conversations???? We own it and he's still never seen it... but I finally got him to watch Dirty Dancing (very recently... he DIDN'T like it!!!! ugh)
the sex was so smoking hot in this chapter... like burn down a house hot!!!!
the flashback was awful, and painful, and disgusting and I want to hunt down that coach and shove a cone up his ass, but a full size traffic cone...
I love that Brian admitted that he fantasizes about bottoming... and I do love Bottom Brian with Toppy Justin, but in an even mix... we can't have Brian be a full on bottom now LOL... he is a damn hot top!!!!

Firstly, I did NOT know this about Chris. He may have just lost himself a wife (on not liking DD or not seeing The Goonies) tell him I am disappointed LOL!
Wasn't the sex just ridiculously hot in this??? Even I was impressed. Don't worry, he won't be a full on bottom, if anything, they'll end up versatile. I just wanted to show that if that god awful thing hadn't have happened to him, he'd be a hell of a lot more confident and comfortable bottoming. And I think from a young age he would have thought about what that felt like as opposed to what it would feel like fucking a guy - but that mother fucker ruined everything for him. It's a huge part of who he is now, so Justin has a lot of damage control to do. Let's just say I don't think he'll be treating that asshole anymore.
