Fabulous chapter! Finally Ben is speaking up and hopefully going to do something proactive about 'shit for brains' Michael. Love love love the convo between Brian & Emmett. I would have loved to see that scene played out of the show. Gale & Peter would have acted the shit out of it! Bravo!

I'm definitely a gal who loved the friendship between Em and Brian, no matter how scarce the opportunity on the show was. As I've stated many MANY times, Michael's friendship with Brian should have stayed in childhood. Em and Ted were more like-minded and it certainly will show here.
As for Ben, he's been 'patient' too many years. I would have loved to have seen this new perspective of his acted out beyond the three times he got angry. Although I didn't like 'Roid Rage' Ben, he was still honest and true to what the character was feeling at the time. It will be interesting to see how much he grows and develops with all his newfound enlightenment of the man he married. Michael was always great at changing faces so now that Ben's onto him and knows what to look for, what face will he reveal now? Will he go back to the Michael Ben always thought he was? Or will he reveal his true face that Justin, Blake and Drew have come to know? Having that answered is going to cement Ben's decision of whether to stay married or go his own way.

I did not leave reviews on every one of the newest chapters because I could not stop reading long enough to do so. I just wanted to find out what was going to happen next!
So here goes... I LOVE all of your stories. You are truly a master of this craft and at giving each character a unique voice inside each of your works that is mind boggling and still believable.
That said, of all your many works, I have to admit that this has been my favorite since you posted the first chapters. It is not often in this fandom that an author dares to write more than fluff. Not that I have anything against that, as it too, has its place.
But for one to dare, and you do Dear, to write the characters as they were in Canon, and still give us so much MORE to them, their inner thoughts, their motivations, their triumphs and most importantly, thier FLAWS, is refreshng and admirable. No one is perfect, and I depise reading work that has ANY character placed in such an untenable position.
Well done! Keep them coming! And if you should choose, in the future, to update this one more frequently, or to let a different one wait in favor of this one... I won't complain. I promise. lol

WOW! It took me a few days to answer this one because of the RL drama I am going through. But can I just tell you what an honor it was to receive this?! Your review came at a time when I was literally biting my nails, thinking that perhaps once again, I had bitten off more than I could chew. You gave me the words of validation that I so desperately NEEDED (hence all the updates between Thurdsay and now, LOL), and there aren't enough words created to thank you for that!
I'm so happy that you continue to enjoy the various roads that my warped mind insists on taking! I can honestly say, that as much as I love each of my darlings (which is how I consider all of my work and a great Stephen King reference to characters, LOL), this is also a favorite of mine. It's raw, gritty and honest in such a way that writing it keeps me even more true to the vision of the work. I couldn't ask for a better opportunity to grow and change in my craft, even as these character will do the same.

Out of the entire gang, I think Em will be the first to see the background and reasoning of the group as a whole... he's told Mikey off (about fucking time) and he knows a bit more of what he's getting into. Both Brian and Ted only seem to be holding onto Michael due to years of "habit"... Em doesn't seem to be clinging to that as much. I'm glad Mel called him.
I also enjoyed getting a little bit of back story in this section as well.

So will we find out teh truth soon that Mel was talking about?! My heart lodged in my throat in anticipation of finding out! I guess we will just have to await the next set of updates.
Thank goodness emmett let Michael have it as well. They all need to realize that their partners need to come before Michael. That if they have any hope at all of fixign their relationships, they need to prioritize their lives. Michael's priority is obvious. Due to Emmett's and Brian's treatment of michael, they just may be seeing the truth of things right now. Perhaps the blinders or, if not off, at least coming off. Ted...I of course hopeful. I just think the road tht he and blake have to take will be a bit more difficult. He seems to want the easy way out in a way. that's why he just caves to Michael. (why they all do)
Mel's openness to Emmett is a good thing. She's using all she's gleaned from her and Lindsey to hopefully help her family.
Have to say, major pins and needles as we await the next updates. Have said it before, but I know this is going to be an anxiety inducing story. Your gift and talent is astounding!!!
