Not surprised by Michael's behavior he never learned to share unless it some how benefits him.
Brian and Brandon being related has so many interesting possibilities and explains them so perfectly because their personalities are quite similar.
I feel bad for Deb losing Michael's love but she has gained so much more now that Brandon is a part of her life.
What Michael was not expecting was that no one is coming to baby him they are leaving him to grow up and he is refusing to try.
Author's Response: It's so true Micheal is very self-center and selfish, he always depended on everyone else to resolve his problems. Of course it's heartbreaking for Deb to have struggled to provide for him, and then have him never be grateful that she always loved him. Great story!!! This is definitely a very plausible scenario... and a VERY welcomed one! I think I might do my own variation of Brian and Brandon being brothers as I really like that theory. I love the fact even more that Deb could be Brandon's birth mother (even though I will leave that portion alone). He would certainly make a better offspring than the mean-spirited, jealous, petulant, immature idiot that she raised to childhood (Michael will never be a man to me,LOL).
EXCELLENT Job Kathleen! So much pain, so many emotions but ultimately a very happy ending for Deb despite Jack and Michael.

This is so heartbreaking in Debbie's part i mean..So glad Brian and Justin were there to support and comfort her along with Carl...But to get that kind of reaction from the ungrateful whiny brat is too much and so hurtful..Instead of being thankful for having Debbie as his mother he feels so betray when he know it's not Debbie's fault..I never hated anyone in here as much as I hated that selfish brat!!And then he was in a hurry looking for his real parents thinking they wouldaccept him open arms,when that didn't happen he thought the world is against him..So childish...well i say good ridance,the Liberty Avenue should celebrate that the biggest pain in the ass is out of the picture finally..
Yaaay didn't expect that one about Brian and Brandon,but i love it to much..I was fantasizing actually about them being a brother or related and getting along well..I don't like him that much in the series but i read some stories where he was a good guy..And I hope i read more of him ang Brian being supportive to each other...
I loved how you keep some of the original plot from the series..Please do more brilliant stand alone,you are truly talented and amazing at writing stories..

Author's Response: I know you can't help but feel Debbie's pain, she gave up so much for Michael. He's never appreciated everything she's done for him, but rejecting her like this is heartbreaking. I loved the idea of Brian and Brandon being brothers, after all they're both cocks of the walk. I didn't really care for Brandon on the show, but my beta met him at the QAF Con in LA and said he was really nice, and sweet and easy to talk to. Kind of like when I met Fab in Toronto, he was also sweet and kind and so funny! He said, "I know you all hate me!" and it was so true, but really we hated Ian, not him, he's pretty fabulous! Oh what a great story line. You've tied up all the lose ends and added a big red bow with Brandon being Brian's half brother. Michael could have been straight all this time and when his birth mother met him, she was probably as whiney as he is. Down right perfect.

O my goodness Kathleen!! This...was EXCELLENT! A part of me wanted it to be longer, but you tied it up nicely at the end.
What a terrific concept! I can see Michael behaving this way, but am still disappointed in him. It's only natural to be hurt and angry when he first found out, but that he turned Deb away, that he denounced her they way he did. Ugh...what an ass.
Heart broke for Deb! Oh how scared she must have been. How confused. How incredibly hurt. Absolutely thrilled that Brian, Carl adn Brandon were so understanding. That they stepped up and supported her.
