This was a great story, from start to finish!! Brian has definitely seen the error of his ways and regretted how he left Justin 6 years ago, but I was happy to see that from the moment he found him again, he did everything in his power to make it up to him!!

Absolutely LOVED this story!! I was so engrossed that I couldn't even stop to review this chapter by chapter! Michael as always is, was, has been and will be an ASS!! I'm so happy that despite his machinations, what he tried his utmost to prevent still didn't work; the others came to their senses about Justin and Brian and Justin still ended up happy and together. He's such an ignorant troll but I'm glad that Justin still had Debbie throughout it all and became a success.
I cannot deny that I was tickled pink when Justin was listing all of his accomplishments for Lindsay and how much she missed because of her defection from his life. That's what she gets for listening to Michael's jealous, mean-spirited, spiteful ass. She gets absolutely NO CREDIT except for not having her own mind.
As for Brian, New York turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him. Even though he worked his ass off and eventually started Kinnetik, the real growth was in how Brian viewed the world and his place in it. He had a chance to find out what he really wanted without the distraction of the certain members of the 'family' trying to keep him 14 or even 19, when they met him. I also love that Cynthia became more a friend to him than any of the others, especially Lindsay and Michael. She wasn't afraid to force Brian to look at himself and see the bigger picture of what he wanted for his life. I can't imagine any of the others would have done that because it would have highlighted their inferiority to a complex man like Brian. As long as the 'gang' could keep Brian contained in their box, everything was right in their little worlds. Cynthia always wanted Brian to soar.
I can't deny that I was sorely disappointed with Mel, Ted and Emmett. I would have thought better of them than that, especially Em. I can't even really see how Mel could justify listening to Michael knowing what an asshole he was time-and-again to Justin and the reason behind it. I still find it so telling that Michael was willing to accept Blake into the fold while he kicked out Justin. They should have been able to see that distinction too. Idiots!
I really loved the original characters here. I wish Brian and Justin had friends like Frank and Jack in the show. Perhaps their road to happiness would have been a little more smooth if they had!
Awesome job on this story Jules!! This is definitely going on my bookshelf!
HUGS,
