Joan like Lindsay enjoys being superior while looking down her nose at those she believes are inferior, plus she likes the attention she gets when she spews her hatred and disapproval.

Mel going to Florida to see her dying father with Brian and Justin is good, they will have her back if they try to browbeat her.

Interesting that you bring up when Mel moved out the show never properly explained how Lindsay needed money to pay bills cause Mel left her without.
Lindsay lied and used Gus to get Brian to fork over money he needed for himself and once he started giving her money she took advantage as much as she could, just like Michael.
Not surprised about Emmett he was always seemed like he had hidden depths.
Do agree with Justin that the friendship Brian, Ted and Emmett shared with Michael seemed unbelievable and unbalanced because they are working towards their dreams while Michael expects everything to handed to him on a gold platter.
Looks like Mel is looking to improve her present so her future will be Amazing and Lindsay will be left behind. (Just like Michael)

I agree with following Brians' instincts and getting out of Pittsburgh quickly, some stuff is about to go down and it's best if they aren't there for it.
Gus being okay and safe in his Daddy's arms is Wonderful, Amazing, Beautiful.
Joan will soon be sharing a cell with her daughter if they can prove she got Claire to file that false paperwork, plus if the boys were left alone that means even more trouble for them.
Deb just wasted her time talking to Michael he is fourteen where Brian was just his and no one and nothing is getting him out of that mindset.
So let him continue to plan and fail cause he will push Brian further away.
Looks like Ron is going to clean house and he is starting with Nancy, who's secrets are about to come out which is not good for her, especially if Ron cuts off all the money and she doesn't have enough in her rainy day fund? (Her enemies, frenemies are going live that!!)

Ronald left Nancy with six grand and since Lindsay isn't his flesh and blood then he doesn't owe her anything either.
Ronald got his dignity back and thanks to that clause and Nancy's inability to be faithful he is free to live his own life without those two leeches around his neck.
Not surprised Joan doesn't know where her grandsons are was more concerned about her next drink than those kids.
Hope they don't give Brian and Justin too much of a headache and that they can start to bridge the divide between them.

It's bad when you're working with a character who makes you wonder if you belong in a mental hospital while channeling their thoughts. Lindsay is such a character, and yet, she's completely sane in her rationale even within the foolishness she believes. Same goes for Nancy. I just can't wait for Lindsay to start working at Vanguard *evil grin and rubbing hands*
Writing these women this way, I can honestly say that Joan is the broke man's Nancy Peterson. Talk about NOT winning any 'Mother of the Year' awards...SMH. Both are of the 'children should be seen and not heard until their useful' mentality...and they will both pay for their neglect in very different ways. I'm very glad that Ron got away from Nancy, even if it was past time. We haven't seen the last of him or his new allies.

Taking the bathhouse and turning it into offices for Kinnectik and Mel is Smart, but building a Mansion big enough for all of them to share and still have their own space and privacy is Genius!!!

Hey Blue! YES! Justin is learning his WASP lessons well and will continue to do so! I agree with you that his ideas are GENIUS and yet they are just so innocently delivered. After all, he isn't intentionally setting out to harm anyone, but if someone's feelings should get hurt, well that's all on them, isn't it? LOL! The more he heals, the better he is going to get. I think Mel's assessment of him is correct. Justin is definitely making a COMEBACK! Cynthia, Marcia and Murph will definitely have some plans in the works. Add Constance and Jennifer to the mix and...well just watch for fireworks and explosions. It looks like Lindsay is finally going to get what she's always wanted...all of her mother's attention. Should be very interesting to see how she handles having Nancy all to herself. I find myself falling in love with this version of John and Peter. Sure they have some issues to deal with, but I'm really going to love watching them grow alongside their uncle. The fact that Mel, Justin and Daphne will be there is going to help the three of them in ways none of them even realize yet. But I'm really looking forward to them meeting Emmett, LOL! Re-read the story and I must say Molly is so her Mother's daughter and Justin's sister, that little genius came up with the prefect payback for Daddy Dearest.
I do believe Craig is going to wish he had went to county cause Cousin Fred is going to make prison seem like a pleasure cruise.
Gardner may think he is aligning himself with a smart classy Wasp, but he is actually getting a Self-Absorbed Low Rate, Low Class Drama Princess with high and very expensive standards, and as much talent artistic wise of a dung beetle on crack and cocaine.
Congrats to Lynnette for getting 'Knocked Up' and actually understanding what it is to be a Wasp. ( I do wonder if she actually pushed Lindsay or did she change the story to fit her narrative?)

She let Lindsay dangle that one night with Brian over her head for Years and it was the proverbial bat (Sorry) she used to beat Mel into submission, if Mel had just asked Brian about that night she would've realized that it meant as much to Brian as a mosquito bite.
Lindsay has been reliving that night with great pleasure while Brian barely acknowledged it actually happened, it was just sex not love, just a horny drunk teenager getting his need met.
She has been so scared that if Brian snapped his fingers Lindsay would drop her faster then you could say "Come Here".

Melanie and Justin will leave Joan in so many knots and without a way to untangle herself that she will be left wondering just how drunk she is and how long she has been drinking.
So the will allows Brian freedom to live his life his way without having to bend over for anyone but Justin, their leverage is totally gone along with the money they were all hoping to have unlimited access to.
Brian is quite a wealthy man which will help in his fight against Joan for custody of his nephews and against Lindsay, Deb, Michael, Virginia and anyone else he has a lot of power in his hands now.
I never understood how Deb always saw Joan loving Brian even though he was abused by her too, giving birth to Brian doesn't mean her mistreatment of him is forgiven, she let her resentment grow to hate there is no love loss between her and Brian and there never will be.
Deb always felt next she raised Michael on her own that she has insight into every mother's heart but she really couldn't see into her own or else she would've realized how wake she was making Michael and herself by excusing his faults and her own.
Time for Deb to know what actual parenting really looks like from Brian, Justin, Melanie and Jennifer who looked past the stigma to see that Justin was the same son she loved and helped to grow into an adult she can respect and cherish more.
My Goodness Brian and Justin have such strong people around them to help them prepare for the battle ahead.
