I LOVE it already!! So happy that Sierra is in on the planning and wonderful to see that she and Drew remained friends after their botched marriage. This is definitely going to get interesting!

So happy for Em and Drew! Hopefully 'you-know-who' will keep far away from the happy couples in this fic. Misery certainly loves company and I would imagine that none is more miserable than that ass. Looking forward to MORE!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Chelle

Author's Response:

Chelle,

Em and Drew deserve to be happy and settled.

I don't even think weasel is in the story.

Very interesting parts coming up.

Chelle,

Em and Drew will be wonderful and loving parents.

Their children's lives and happiness is very important to them.

LOVED this chapter!! From the beginning when Emmett received the note, to showing the friendship between Justin and Em, to the culmination of the Toppy! Em scene, there was nothing in this chapter that wasn't special. Drunk Brian had me laughing. The Big Bad would have been mortified that he'd let his and Justin's inner most secret out. Great job conveying the emotional quality of this chapter!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Chelle

Author's Response:

Chelle,

Em and Drew are hot together.

Justin and Emmett do have a great friendship.

Brian, even drunk knows that he can trust Emmett and needed someone he could tell. Can you imagine the reaction if he tried to tell Michael about that?

It's always better to write with feelings.

Thanks

We cried while writing it too.

She is a very lucky little girl.

Great Dads and a great family.

What a wonderful chapter!!! So full of emotion on all fronts. Although I know what happens in BP, I still couldn't help but feel Justin's sadness for a child that had not yet been conceived. And still he wouldn't begrudge Drew and Em their happiness or mar their moment with his introspection- such a special friend indeed. Their family as it is now- without the burdersome and worrisome H.W.S.N.B.N. and S.W.S.N.B.N.- is just PERFECT!! So supportive and loving of each other that it warms my cold heart!

Great job, Ladies. I look foreward to more of the adventures of Fatherhood starring Em, Drew, Lyla and Sawyer along with their extended family!!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Chelle

Author's Response:

Chelle,

We love to write with feelings.

Justin wants his friends to be happy, he is a very loving man.

Emmett and Drew have all the people who make their family around them.

More soon.

Yay!!! They are getting hitched! I really like Mae too. It's great that Drew's family is so accepting the way all families should be. Looking forward to meeting Aunt Lula but seriously concerned for Emmett's feelings. Hopefully the love of Drew can heal many wounds.

Happy Writing and Hugs,

Author's Response:

Families should support each other, unfortunately sometimes you need to make your own family before that can happen.

Aunt Lula is very interesting.

Love always helps.

My heart broke for Em!! Arlee is just plain hateful and his mother is a whimp. Thank goodness he went to the Pitts and made himself far more successful than his father would ever be. Just one more thing he has in common with Brian and Justin!

I LOVE Aunt Lula and Sticks! They reminded me so much of my own grandmother (who I lost at an early age) and my aunts and cousins in the South. So great that Em still knows that there are at least two people in the world he left that loved him for being plain ol' Bubbles (which is adorable- BTW).

Looking forward to more of this!!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Chelle

Author's Response:

Chelle,

The family Em made for himself is infinitely better than the one he was born into.

There had to be a reason Emmett loved Aunt Lula so much.

They had to have a special name for Em.

Wonderful! Just simply MARVELOUS chapter celebrating Drew and Em! "I'll Cover You" is not only one of my favorite songs but one of parents' favorites as well, and they had many happy years. I was so moved that Brian ended up singing the song with Justin! Overall, this was probably one of the best wedding scenes I've ever read and so befitting of Em and Drew's romance!

Blake was dead ON in his assessment of Michael! I'm glad he told them his thoughts in reference to how they all act in regards to Michael too. Perhaps the 'family' can make some changes in regards to Michael's behavior from now on. I LOVE the way Justin handles him. They should take several pages out of his book, the way Ted did earlier when having dinner with Michael and Ben. The time for handling the thirty-five year old boy with kid-gloves has long passed. Also, I'm glad that he realized he was an idiot when JR handed him his gift. The first step in recovery is admission of the problem. Maybe there is hope for him yet (again I'm skeptical but...*eyebrow raised* I'll reserve judgment). Looking forward to MORE!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Author's Response:

I totally agree. Michael is my favorite because you can't help but want to pick on him. I think if i pick this one up again some day for a sequal JR needs to be a teenager. I'll probably commit him.

Michael's a twat! I hope they each ream him out for his incessant need to be told everything, Ben included! Brian's request has nothing to do with HIM and I think that is the core of his problem. Everything and everyone that inhabits his world MUST revolve around him as if he is the sun or he must employ is Whining superpowers until it does... I wonder if that was Zephyr's superpower in Rage. <In my sinister announcer voice> After Rage paralyzes the enemy with his mind-control powers, Zephyr in turn whines them into submission, torturing them with his complaining and incessant screeching until they confess their crimes just to make him stop.... I think that is a plot that I need to work out, LOL

Glad therapy seems to be working out for Mel and Lindz, especially Mel. Her phone call with Brian really showed the growth and potential growth for their relationship! Also happy to see that Lindsay stayed out of it or put Melanie in an insecure place by insisting she call Brian. I also loved how they are handling Michael- not allowing him to place the blame for his own inadequacies on the people who are picking up his responsibilities when he shirks his duty to Jenny. They didn't owe him anything except a slight apology about moving without telling him... but based on how he's acting, who could blame them??

Michael really needs to GROW UP! Again with his selfish need to be at the center of everyone's world. No one owes him an explanation for the decisions they make, especially fegarding their kids. And no one should have to endure his criticism for being the type of parent they want to be. Case in point, his references to Brian's spending habits in terms of Gus are NONE of his business. In fact he should be grateful that Brian doesn't do what apperently Michael doesn't think twice about doing which is exclude one child because he provided sperm for the other. I'm glad that Mel, Lindsay and Ben caught on that Michael's tirade isn't really about Jenny at all. It was all about Michael Novotny-C.O.A! Just when you think there might be hope for him, he opens his mouth...again SMH

Looking forward to MORE,

~Nichelle

WTH..... I just.... I just Can NOT!!! Everyone is running around looking for this...person and he's in FLORIDA?!?!?! He just has to be the Center of Attention all the damn time! He really needs to grow up and realize that the world does NOT revolve around HIM and his opinion. He really needs to concentrate on his own relationships before he has none...SMH

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

P.S. According to the series, Mel's family is from Miami(S:1 EP:15).

So glad to see another chapter!! And I'm glad that Mel agreed to move to the caretaker's cottage. It was a really good decision for all involved.

Michael is- as ALWAYS- a selfish prick. He can't see to his daughter's need for fun and normalcy because he is so damn worried about his own. I'm glad that Ben said what he said to Michael about the camping trip and hopefully he and his sour self will STAY HOME! SMH... I'm also glad that Carl stood up to the whiny brat and for once, Deb did not automatically take Michael's side. That was certainly a refreshing change!

Looking forward to MORE! Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Author's Response:

Carl to me is practical and Deb erratic they work he keeps her in line. Michael isn't getting his need to be right(I think that we saw that with Linds and Mel) met. I alway thought when Michael is acting like an ass everyone on the show was Oh poor Michael, Brian did it it was Asshole. thanks for reading

Reviewer: Nichelle Wellesly Signed

Sanctimonious much, Michael?? The girls aren't entitled to a free pass? WTH! I'm still amazed by that statement since all it seems that he has ever gotten was free passes for being an idiot. But I digress... Oh but WAIT!! Then after his speech about needing to take care of JR and his 'rights' as her father, he forgets his kid? Sounds like she would be better off with Michael MYERS as her father than Michael Novotny, at least the former would remember that his daughter existed.. even if it's not in the very best of ways ...SMH Definition of a drop in dad, anyone? Anyone? There is an answer and it's Michael Novotny!

It's nice to see Mel and Lindsay FINALLY listening to each other. Perhaps therapy will make a huge impact on how they deal with their issues going forward. Mel is now starting to see that her insecurities and jealousy can NOT be laid at Brian's door. I hope their upward mobility continues. Lindsay was right in that they moved away but still took their unresolved issues with them.

I don't blame Mel one damn bit for not wanting to live near the Novotnys. They really are nosy and interferring beyond measure; act as if it is their right to know everything about everyone's lives whether it has to do with them or NOT. Hopefully they can find an area that's close enough to the Pitts but far away enough for their privacy. It's better for them to have the support system around and not need it rather than be in the position they now find themselves in where they need it and don't have it.

Great Chapter!! On to the next!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

First....*eyebrow still raised* at Michael... perhaps there is hope for him but I retain my right to be wholly and unequivocably skeptical. If he finds out that Mel and Lindz are thinking of moving back to the Pitts, I'm sure his selfish and invasive streak will rear its ugly head.

Speaking of which, I think Brian's idea of the carriage house is a splendid idea. Hopefully Mel will go for it! It is the best of both worlds and it would be nothing to invoke the same rules Brian has of not arriving without a courtesy call first. Hopefully the property is gated and requires a security code (for Debbie and Michael might I also suggest an electrified fence and spiked bobwire as well) to gain entry. Again, I wholeheartedly AGREE with Mel about not being so close to the Novotnys. Being involved in Jenny's life to a certain degree is one thing, but constantly butting in where they are not invited is another!

I laughed out loud at Brian's description of Mel and Justin. And I could really feel his relief at the change in Lindsay's conversation. Therapy really seems to be helping her and for Brian's sake, I hope it continues!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

So excited for a new story from you! This is bound to get interesting. Hopefully Mel will get her act together and FINALLY realize that Brian is NOT the enemy; it's the one she's sleeping with. But I digress... Great beginning and looking forward to MORE!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Author's Response:

I was thinking about Mel and Lindsay, I think that the way the show just wrote "Oh bomb we need to let go and be together then move." didn't make a lot of sense. Problems don't disappear overnight. They are both good at avoiding the elephant in the room. I want to see Brian growing and learning. I have always believed that if the show was about them growing that Brian wouldn't have pushed Justin off a cliff when he went to NY. Mel and Brian never worked out anything where Gus was concerned. I think that Mel never thought who would Gus go to if something happened.

Reviewer: Nichelle Wellesly Signed

Mel, Lindsay and Michael all NEED to get a damn grip. I'm glad that you are addressing the whole cheating issue with the two chicks. It's funny that all 'cheating' in the series occured from the same origin...NON-COMMUNICATION! People always say that one should be careful of the things they say but it is being proven that the things that AREN'T said are the most dangerous.

As for Michael.... he really is a jealous idiot. As always, he has no idea what he is talking about in regards to Justin and Gus. I can't wait for Brian and/or Justin to put him in his place. I always marvel that the 'family' called Brian narcissistic and Peter Pan when in reality it was Michael who was selfish and never wanted to grow the hell up. If one thinks about it, Brian was more of a grown up at 14 than Michael ever was at 30. He worked hard for everything he got and never expected folks to do for him. I think that's why I identify with Brian's character the most...  But I digress and that's just my opinion.

I'm looking forward to MORE of this. Hopefully Jenny will give Michael a reality check that will benefit HER in the long run!

happy Writing and HUGS,

To say that I wanted to smack Michael would be an understatement! I was thinking more along the lines of a FIST doused in some HOLY water to exorcise that demon of SELFISHNESS!! Michael is truly like a robot programmed and wound up to walk around talking about "What about me? What about me? What about ME?!" I STILL marvel at Brian being called narcissistic when in Michael's world, it's ALL about Michael! Perhaps Deb is FINALLY getting the clue that the rest of the family has had long since. I wonder if Ben will actually make any progress with his...husband.

On to the next chapter!!

Happy Writing and HUGS,
