I couldn't bring myself to write THAT scene so I decided to have it either mentioned or in flashbacks but I couldn't go into detail. Fortunately, Justin has a great support system, especially Brian who will help him to cope with this. And I won't allow Ethan to destroy Justin of course.
Stories like this are always hard and in a way, it's a bit like therapy for myself when it comes to dealing with such a traumatic event.

Well damn....that was depressing. Justin was acting like a total shit here. In fact he had one hell of a nerve because while he was trying to justify himself, he was being more hypocritical than he accused Brian of being. Instead of walking off, he should have stayed to hear what Brian had to say like an adult.

Why should he have? I'm not asking that to be confrontational either; but really, why should he have? He had been trying to connect with Brian in many ways for weeks leading up to that moment and had been shot down at every turn. And keep in mind that this is an AU scene in which Justin never got involved with Ethan. It was a one time fuck; Ethan tried to pursue more, but Justin shot him down, because in this universe, Justin realized from the beginning that Ethan was never going to give him what he really wanted - Brian's love and acknowledgment that he had a place in his life.
But just because he recognizes that doesn't mean that he has to stay and listen to, what he's certain at this point, will be nothing more than more of Brian's mind games. Because, in this universe, they have gotten to that point. And I love Brian, he's a great character, but he can be quite the shitty person when he wants to be. And in this universe, he chose to take the word of Michael, who has never made it a secret that he wanted Justin gone, instead of confronting him on it; and he chose to act like a petty asshole and shove his tricking into Justin's face once again.
So, Justin walked away; and Brian has to reap what he's sown.
Why should he now listen to Brian when he shows up? Because he's a better person? Because he more mature than that? He's a heartbroken 20-year-old kid, that yeah, is being a bit petty right now; but he is giving nothing back that he hasn't recieved in spades. I don't see him justifying his actions, as he has nothing to justify.
He did explain why some rules seemed to have been broken, but did it as a courtesy, not to justify his actions; because there was nothing he needed to justify. He knew the guy's name before he became a trick; he didn't seek it out. He didn't get his number until after the break up, when they became friends. Ethan kissed him, not the other way around. And really what if he had initiated it? What does it matter in the end? So he had a brief flirtation with someone else. So, he briefly wondered if things might not be easier with someone else. Brian fucked a different guy every night without thought or concern to how that made Justin feel. And I defy any one to sit here and tell me that they wouldn't have done the same exact thing if they were putting up with Brian's bullshit. In canon Jsutin caved to what he thought he wanted. In this universe he didn't and chose to walk away instead.
And now, he's supposed to shunt all those hurt feelings and the anger aside to hear Brian out now that he's finally gotten his head out of his ass, and wants an explanation? I don't think so. He doesn't owe Brian anything.
Sorry, again, this wasn't meant to be confrontational, but I do find it irritating that Justin is often expected to be the better person when it comes to interacting with Brian. He's human; and a very young, inexperienced human at that. And sometimes yes, he's a shitty person that comes off as petty and ungrateful - Vermont anyone? To expect him to be otherwise makes no sense to me.

I read your response but I just don’t agree. I guess I’m in the minority in the way I see things, because to me the fact that Brian searched him out at all meant that he wanted to straighten things out between them. Sorry but I don’t see one as being more wrong or right than the other. I’m also not one to give Justin a pass because of his age....and like you said in your post this isn’t meant to be confrontational I just see things differently. So yeah, maybe he should have stayed to hear Brian out.

And you're entitled to that opinion; we'll just have to agree to disagree on the way we see it. :) And while I agree that neither of them are more right or wrong than the other, I do feel that Justin has every right to feel hurt and disillusioned and not want to hear what Brian says at this point in time. Brian showing up was nice, but just as Justin's age doesn't absolve him in your eyes, neither does Brian's sudden willingness to listen absolve him of all the shitty things he did to Justin in my eyes. Okay....I'm really trying to understand a couple of things here. First, why didn't Justin just let Brian know what Michael said to him from the start? Maybe they wouldn't have had such extreme problems down the line. Second, it was DEAD WRONG of Justin to just buy another house without telling Brian. Deb, Mel and Lindsay aren't any better. I'm sorry, but stories that paint either one of the boys as major assholes while glossing over the others faults just doesn't sit right with me.
Emmett had the right idea in that Brian should have been made aware of what was really going on. Yeah Brian did some shitty things, but in hindsight so did Justin.
Brian told Justin to get some friends his age – what if the kiss Michael saw was misconstrued? What if miscommunication was only the start of it all? Just how far does the butterfly effect go?

Giving Lindsay the bitch slap she so ricly deserved was fun! :) And yeah, Brian is really hurt by Justin's seeming lack of faith; I can understand Justin wanting spare Brian the pain of his so-called friends bratty behavior, but in this case, Brian really needed to be in on it. This wasn't some small transgression, easily overlooked, it will have serious reprecussions. Of course, Brian doesn't have a completely clear conscience himself; he too has been holding off on telling Justin something important, and that is likely to bit him on the ass later. I know this chapter seems a bit unfair to some, but the fact is that Justin kept all this hidden for years not just a few days...but years. Blaine has only been back in the picture for two weeks. I think at this point Brian knows what’s at stake if Justin found out indirectly the way he did.

Yeah, I knew that there might be some people who were upset that Justin got called on his behavior; some because they are staunch Justin fans, and others because of the potential stress issues with his pregnancy. But this needed to happen. Justin isn't perfect; he is a flawed human being that made a serious mistake in keeping the information from Brian. He really should have expected Brian's reaction when he found out. And he was always going to find out at some point. When Brian wins big on the lottery he and Michael take off for 2 years. Upon their return, Debs is delighted, not only are her boys back but they are finally a couple...but only according to Michael. What he thought has been a dream adventure has been a litany of moaning, complaining and bitching for Brian, so bad did it get that he cut the trip short! Now he's back and needs something to do...Ted and Emmett find him something to do during the day and his passion for photography finds him something do at night...oh and there's the little matter of Lindsay...she wants a baby and wants Brian to play daddy, or should that be Daddy Warbucks, but does Mel want to play mommy still?

This is from Deb Tanner's plot bunny, Lindsay leaves Pittsburgh after she lied to everyone saying Brian impregnated her the old fashioned way. She meets Justin, who she never figures out is weathy but still uses to take care of Gus for her. Leaving Gus with Justin after a year. He finds out the woman he knew never existed, and the child he loves is his when he's listed as the father on the birth certificate.

I just read all three chapters and.....I really don’t know how to feel. There is absolutely no reasonable explanation for keeping Justin out of his son’s life. Brian can’t possibly believe that he was doing the right thing by shutting Justin out. All I can say is I hope things get better sooner rather than later.
