I was reminded of this story a few days ago when there was a thread on MW - FB, on which unfinished stories you would like to see finished. So silly me, I started rereading the last two chapters, and I'm so missing it now. I'm not sure if you are still with KD, but if you are, this is a plea for you to continue with this. In a response from you in one of the reviews somebody left you, you said you were reworking chapter 23, but that you had two more chapters after that completed. Sadly to say, we were not given those chapters.  I'd love to hear from you if you are still with the fandom, and would like to know your thoughts on this. I know it's been 2 1/2 years since you last updated this, but I know readers would still pick it up in a heartbeat. So, Please Give It Some Thought!

Lindsay is all kinds of repulsive! Not surprised she had Gus to use as a pawn for her plans for a heteronormative life. As if Brian would ever agree to all her delusional thoughts! I was right. Gus is a smart kid, and knows exactly what has been going on. I was right again about Sam. What a sleaze ball. I can't believe Lindsay brought him with her. Brian is going to be so pissed when he hears Sam is in the hotel room that he's paying for. I hope they are aware that by tomorrow they will be kicked out of there. And them having sex in her and Mel's bed, with the kids in the basement, is just all kinds of wrong! I'm glad Gus stood up to Sam and wouldn't take his crap, and then left. Because I was wondering if Sam got mad enough at the 'little shit' if he would have slapped him. If that happened, Brian would have destroyed that man. He would have been left homeless and pennyless, without a career. Hmm... Maybe he should have... NOT! Besides Brian is going to be infuriated enough when he finds out the way Sam has been treating Gus. And Lindsay take on the case, Gus was being a willful stubborn brat!  Boy I wish Brian could hear her true thoughts on how she viewed his son! She better quit calling Brian, Peter. She long since abused that term for him.

Very happy Ted and Emmett (with some input from Justin) have opened Brian's eyes to the true situation with Lindsay and Michael. (still don't know why Brian forgave Michael).  But he's taking a step in the right direction to have Lindsay and Michael banned from Kinnetik, and by blocking their numbers on the PBX system. Now that Lindsay doesn't have Gus to use as a bargaining chip, I don't think her WASP manners will come into play, and she will show everyone just what a hissy fit she can throw when denied access. But Mel better hurry and get back to the Pitts. If Brian doesn't have any legal rights to Gus, couldn't he be charged with kidnapping? Or will Lindsay be too scared to call the police, knowing the wrath of Kinney? And she has a PI following Brian? What for? What did she hope to find out? Very good thing she left before that last report came and she found out about the house.

So Lindsay's been up to some unscrupulous activity. Did she take out another withdrawal before leaving Toronto? How much has she actually siphoned out of Gus' college fund? Lindsay's ass-is-grass. What did Ted mean when he said, Your ass and assets need to be protected at all costs. Why would Brian need to protect his assets? Who would have access to them other than Brian or Ted? So, Ted is trying to get Mel to give Brian back his Parental Rights. I sure hope she does, as Lindsay needs her's stripped. Michael needs his revoked too. Shouldn't be too hard since he hasn't ever paid child support, and doesn't show any interest in her. Good thing Harry is around the corner. I hope Brian and Mel become good friends and can co-parent the kids.

Ben also needs to do some housecleaning, and throwing clothes out the window. Why does Ben think Brian would have seen his husband more than him lately? He apparently isn't aware that Michael hasn't seen Brian for the last few months, so what has Michael been up to? Has he been seeing someone on the side? Is he even opening up his shop anymore? And what's his beef with Hunter? It was interesting to hear Michael tell Debbie that, Ben's not going anywhere. No, mybe not, but I think you are, Michael.

Em, "You don't think that this is just some ploy to..."   Brian, "Get in my pants again," Must be another backstory there some place. It sounds like Brian, Emmett and Ted don't have any secrets between them. That makes me happy.  I loved Emmett's analogy of the girl's relationship. Who do you think is Freddy Kruger in this shit?

What are they all going to do with Gus tonight? Will Emmett have to miss the dinner in order to stay with Gus? Totally love the idea of a 'real relationship' between Brian and Justin. WOWZA! I love the idea of everyone sitting around Debbie's table having dinner, and Brian and Justin putting on a PDA...  But I have to wonder how far Lindsay and Michael will go to break them up!

Great story so far. I'm loving it!

You Go Molly! Does Joel know all about Molly's family? Does he know what Marlene tried to do to her? And who is Marlene to call Molly a whore? Isn't that Marlene's title?  Well, I think Marlene just got her and Craig checked out of Chartrez Resort. Craig can thank her by reacting the same as Molly, for all I care. I'm thinking Molly might have a restraining order against Marlene, so can she claim to have been protecting herself?  Maybe Marlene will go to jail for breaking the restraining order, but would Craig bail her out? Even if Molly gets charges pressed against her, Harry won't allow anything to stick. And there's plenty of money backing her, along with family.

Michael, Michael, Michael! Did I understand that correctly, that Ben has been giving the rent money TO Michael, and instead of paying the stores rent, he was sending it to Lindsay? If he's a few months behind, can't the owner have the locks changed and keep his store merchandise, which includes the collectibles? Did Ben get a notice in the mail pertaining to the closure of the store, and that's how he found out?  That still doesn't count for the fact that Brian was sending extra money to Lindsay, plus she was siphoning from Gus' college fund, JUST WHERE IS LINDSAY SPENDING ALL THAT MONEY? PI's can cost up to $100 per hour. Just how often was the PI ghosting Brian?

I hope Craig doesn't try to get Michael and Lindsay involved in his conspiracies. Or will they try to involve Craig? Poor Brian... has already been through the ringer at the of them, but I'm sure we're only scratching the future.

Cold shower time. That, My Dear, was the HOTTEST sex scene I have ever read. WOWZA! Brian's efforts towards making Justin's first time bottoming special, really paid off. I think he officially born the newest bottom boy, well as far as it is Brian on top.

I loved the speech Brian gave to Thunder-Cunt Lindsay. If that's what he said to her in the past, how does she expect him to accept her now?

I can't see why Mel is any kind of concerned about Michael's threat to get custody of Jenny. What kind of job does he have? I'm sure he's homeless by now. He hasn't supported Jenny other than a few dollars here and there, but can pay out $300 monthly for a PI to keep tabs on Brian? No judge in his right mind would allow someone like that custody.

Great Chapter! I love the instant, spontaneous feelings both Brian and Justin have for each other. It's certainly bound to be confusing, because neither man has ever lived his life this way, or even had feelings remotely close to this. I love how they are willing to stand by each other and being there for each other.

Lindsay and Michael... Shame on you! Brian was the one who had you arrested. Why would he come to bail you put? And yes Carl. Call animal control. You could have them shipped off to the zoo to live with the other chimps, but they would drive away all of the business.

Brian... Why did you only give Justin a chaste kiss in front of the Dumbasses?  He should have dipped him, and gave him a toe-curling kiss!  They could have sat back and watched the dogs all come running.  Brian might be filing a restraining order, but for some reason I don't think that will matter. Also Brian could demand a DNA test to be done right now. No need to wait until the baby is born. As long as Lindsay is at least two months, all they need is a blood draw from Lindsay, and a cheek swab from Brian. Let's see how Lindsay would spin her tale then.

I'm worried for Molly. It sounds like Laurent isn't gonna stop at anything until he gets what he wants. Molly needs to be totally upfront with Joel and his parents. Can Craig and Marlene be charged with attempted kidnapping? Maybe if they were, they might reveal why Laurent is Hell-Bent on getting Molly.

Justin, too. I'm worried. Brandon sounds like he could turn dangerous. At least he's got Brian, and Brian has always protected what's his.

I have to wonder about Lindsay's thoughts earlier when she seemed to think it was Sam's baby when she woke up in the hospital. I shudder to think what the genetic makeup of a child would be born from Michael's and Lindsay's genes.

$18,000 - $300 = $17,700.  It's always a fun read when Ben realizes what a truly horrible person Michael is. Good to see him take out the trash. And funnier yet was Michael trying to blame Melanie for making trumped up shit because Lindsay left her! Did Michel not get the memo from Lindsay that Melanie kicked her loose, over-used twat out of the house? And that she is pregnant? And not sure who the father is? Happy to find out Michael filed for dissolution of their marriage six months ago. Now, Michael really doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Glad to see Hunter discovered the goods in the attic and garage. But a VAULT? Were they able to get the vault opened? That ought to be interesting. What could be so important it's in a VAULT instead of being in the attic or garage? And going after the entire contents of Red Cape Comics?  Certainly the best thing Ben could do. But delighted to know they are already reaping benefits of the eBay sells.

Ah, ah, ah Lindsay. You thought you were so smart. You thought you were home free after Sam sprung you. HA! You had to pay him back. Then you were arrested for harrassment and CHILD ENDANGERMENT!  Hell, you might be in prison when your baby is born. And the icing on the cake, Mrs. Brian Kinney Wannabe, was served a restraining order from the husband-to-be! Only serves you right to be back with the screeching whiny man. And what a shame Lindsay, you can't contact your P.I. now. Who's your one phone call gonna be? Mommy and Daddy? I don't think they will give a rat's ass about you when they find out everything.

Did Debbie produce Lindsay's bank card at the hospital for the bill? I don't think she has enough money left for bail, just incase it's granted. Do her and Michael still owe the P.I. any money? Well, get comfortable you two. You're not going anyplace for quite awhile.

Sam's change-of-heart attitude was refreshing. It took him self-sacrificing himself to apologize to Melanie. Finally his eyes were open to the true form that is Lindsay. I think they need to get that DNA sample done as soon as possible, because if it's Sam's, he needs to make arrangements for the child, and start some legal proceedings to protect that child and get any rights Lindsay may have away from her. That's if he truly wants the child. Maybe the best friend is what he needs in his life after-all. He's not getting any younger.

It would serve Lindsay right if the child was Michael's. All her snooping and manipulations would be out the door, and she would have to live the next 6-7 months knowing that child was Michael's. Oh how funny that would be. Debbie would probably be responsible for raising the child, as Michael and Lindsay would be living in Chez-Prison.

Well I'm all caught up to this story. I'll have to start on 'The Anti-Couple' now. I really like this story, Can't wait to see what's in store for our beloved (or not so beloved) characters.

Well, another one under my belt. This story is starting to be very gripping. How do you keep coming up with all these intriguing plots for your stories?

It's kind of early in the story, for both Lindsay and Michael to already be in jail. LOL.. and it doesn't look like they'll get out for a while.

Why is Michael's bail so high? And if that's the case, what, pray tell, is Lindsay's going to be? She definitely has more charges against her.

That was really lowdown rotten that Lindsay said the babies were Brian's. But thank god, that Melanie found the paprwork. What is Lindsay going to do with having twins? Pregnant and being in prison! We can only hope that Sam will come and take them away from her. But if Sam wants the babies, Lindsay can get a test at the hospital, where they can do a prenatal DNA test as long as she's around two months. At least he will be able to plan on it actually happening.

And now with Lindsay only having $300, there's no way she can post bail for the new charges. So, sad... NOT!

It sounds like Brian and Justin have good people for their cases. Between Janice Morgan and Judge Napier, maybe he can make it a little safe for them. Although Antonio sounds like a loose cannon. Scary.

I finally got around to reading this today; I have thought about doing that so many times, and well, I just never got there. So, first, I want to say this was rather ingenious. I did look at the last reviews to see if anyone commented on any particulars, as to the many clues you gave throughout the story that it was actually Brian who had been the victim of the assault, but didn't really find any.

Since I have watched The Lakehouse more times than the number of fingers I have, I was looking within the text rather closely throughout reading it, and I paid VERY close attention to the dates. Now, if I would have been reading this as it was being posted, I might not have made all the connections.

The first thing that caught my attention, was that whoever tried to save Justin at his prom, was instead killed, and I just KNEW it had to be Brian.

Brian (although it was always his philosophy of life) said he wasn't going to live past 30. (That's reaching, but still caught my attention.)

But the most telling fact that Brian was NEVER in current time (2002) proved to me he was the one bashed and killed. He was never in the diner or anyplace with the guys. When Justin started working there, Brian wasn't introduced. Brian, not showing up for the New Year's dinner, really cemented my belief.

I admit, I was thrown when the dark-haired guy said he was Justin's boyfriend, yet I had a nagging thought it was the arrogant Ethan, and it really wasn't a fact, but I couldn't figure out how they would have met seeing as Justin was in high school... so you threw a wrench in my psyche for a bit. But college orientation, cleared that up

Now, going a little scientific here, this whole story could reflect to the theory of the Butterfly Effect too. You changed the fact Brian wasn't killed, thereby creating the domino effect.

Justin told Brian how the time-travel conundrum worked... if it weren't for 'Homerun Hobbs' he wouldn't have the money to move into the loft.

The bracelet... I was thinking maybe Brian gave it to Justin the night of the prom, but with the way it ended, I'm thinking he found it in the box in the closet. Justin wasn't bashed, so he wouldn't have had the money to rent the loft, thus never finding the bracelet, and that's how it ended back up on Brian's wrist.

It kind of irritated me when it was discovered that Jennifer, Debbie, and Daphne were all aware of the Brian/Justin connection, but still allowed him to move into the loft... that's just so wrong to me.

Now, going to how everything turns out... Since Brian was killed in 2000, now that he's alive, is the Billboard still outside his loft? (and nice touch - replacing the tree.)

Is everyone in current time still thinking Brian is dead, and won't know the difference until he contacts them?

I'm 'kind of' thinking this might be so, for the simple fact that Brian still owns Britin.

As I said towards the beginning, Ingenious... I would think a lot of thought process had to go into drafting this.

I had to finally read this, after finding out today who you are. It's something I've put off. Just the content made me feel nauseous. But, I was hoping it would be a bad dream in the end. But, I did like it, if only after the ending. I do have one question though, something I've wondered about since the first time I watched the show. What did Brian mean when he told Michael, "I know your secret identity"?

Good job with the story. You gave true meaning to the hesitancy of Michael. I loved how you described the downward spiral of the family and relationships. I REALLY loved how Brian ignored, then blew off Mikey the next morning, telling him, "It was just a fuck." If that's what it was, and yet Brian kept going back to Justin, how could Michael at the end say, "Justin is not Brian's boyfriend"? Delusional. Yep, so very glad it was all a premonition.

I remember starting this atone time, but I think I only got a chapter in.

Hobbs and Craig has taken on a whole new meaning of the word "EVIL". And Arnold can jsut go suffer right along with Craig now. I can't understand if Craig is NOT associated with Taylor Industries and Winston Fabric and Merchandise Incorporated, how he could call and cancel a contract? I would think Justin would let these companies know Craig has no say in his businesses. Can't wait to see Craig's repercussions for doing that.

Well, you've Lindsay to a new level. Issuing threats?! And Michael is just a whiny asshole like normally. But I think it was VERY unfair for Debbie to call Brian and ask him for ANYTHING regarding Michael. But hey, the loft locks are changed, and they can't get into Kinnetik, and have n current phone numbers. YAY!!!!!!!

Hmm, now I'm a little confused. I didn't remember too much about the story outside chapter 1. Now as I read the end of this chapter. the part of Craig being a drug addict, I remember.

But, I don't remember Lindsay calling her father...

“See Michael. It’s all about who you know. I have to wonder how accommodating Ron will be when he finds out just WHO Justin Taylor is. Lindsay should pay heed to the old adage:

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. because as soon as you THINK everything is going your way, you might find out daddy doesn't want to play hardball with someone who could ruin him professionally and financially.

How long before Mel amd Brian get Lindsay out of the house? And how long is Michael going to be able to pay $500 rent?
